One year later:

Holly and Damor laid next to one another, with their newborn twin daughters nestled in between them.

"A pair of beautiful mermaids." Damor remarked with a smile. "As beautiful as their human mother."

"And as strong, and heathy, as their Atlantean father." Replied Holly as she returned his smile. "A perfect mixture of children of the land, and of the sea."

"Like us." Said Damor as he place a kiss upon Holly's forehead. He couldn't help but marvel at the new precious life that the two of them had created, a true creation out of love. It had been a long time since he had seen an infant Atlantean, so their births were truly a miracle.

"Have you thought of any names?" Holly asked.

"I thought of three ." He replied. "If you like them, then you can help me decide. Or if you have other names, I of course am open to other options. I was thinking Alliea, for my sister. Alicia for your stepmother. Or, Vivian for your biological mother. I know you were closer to Alicia, but your biological mother was responsible for your existence. Even though I never met her, I will always be grateful for that. And as you said, she did stick up for you in the end.

"Well." said Holly. "It is usually a human custom to give out children middle names. So how about Alliea Vivian, and Alicia Zora? It's the least we could do since Zora had us name her children."

"Perfect." Replied Damor. "And if we ever have boys, we can use the names Roger, James, and Zeno."

"Umm..Let's just let these two grow a little bit first before we start along about having more." She laughed. "I just hope they will understand that mommy isn't going to be as amphibious as the rest of you."

"Don't worry." Said Damor. "We'll teach them about land dwellers, and sea dwellers, and how there is good in all of us. We'll teach them about where we both came from, and the people who helped shape our lives."

Tears began to well up in Holly's eyes.

"What's wrong my love?" He asked with a look of concern.

"It's just not fair." she replied. "Here I have two beautiful baby girls, and they will never know their family. They'll never know the joy of my father's love, or Alicia's, or James, or Alliea's, or even my mother's. And how am I supposed to explain Alicia, I don't even know if she's alive. They'll never know any of them."

"But they will know of them." He replied. "We are going to share with them, all the information about our different family members."

"All of them?" Holly asked. "What about their cousins?"

"That may be something we might have to save for later." He replied with a look of worry upon his face. Holly was afraid of the look upon his face. She knew exactly what was bothering him. It was bothering her as well.

"What if he escapes from Tartarus, and comes back?" Holly asked. "What if he comes after me again? What if he comes after them. He won't let the fact that they're his cousins bother him. I mean if he was willing to rape his own mother? Then what would stop him from-?"

Holly burst into tears, as she couldn't even finish the sentence. The very thought of what that monster was capable of horrified her. Tears welled up in Damor's eyes, as he securely held his family in a loving embrace.

"It's okay." he told her. "I promise I will protect both you, and them. Algar was injured extensively, it's going to take him a long time to recover from his wounds. Also my guess is that he will have gotten extremely hungry. You can't die from hunger in Tartarus, but you still feel the pains of starvation if you don't eat. If he has eaten any of the food, in the underworld, he will never be able to leave. Whenever a living creature takes refuge there, they are seldom able to leave. The temptation to eat is just too much for them."

"I know the story of Hades, and Persephone." Replied Holly. "But when you have that much anger, and lust in your heart, it is amazing what one can overcome."

"Listen to me." Said Damor. "The Kraken is dead. Plus it is going to be a long time before Algar will be able to escape, if he will even be able to escape at all. But if he does, I will protect you and our children. I will have help from sea creatures like Zeno, and Zora. We are going to be alright. And at least you know, that he will never be able to get his tentacles on Alicia ever again."

The limo made the long trip up the driveway. As the mansion got closer, and closer, tears began to well up in Alicia's eyes. It had been a year since she had been home, and ten months since she had been found floating alone in that life boat. The doctor's told her that if that naval vessel hadn't found her when they did, she likely would have died.

When the car reached the house, she quickly dried her tears. She wasn't even sure she could stay there, it may just have been too heartbreaking to stay. This is where she lived with loving husband Roger, and her step children. But she had been the only survivor of that fateful cruise. Or at least, that is what they had told her.

As the chauffeur opened the door for her, he smiled and offered her his hand.

"Thank you." She said as she gave him a polite smile to show her gratitude. He then helped her out of the car, and followed behind her while carrying her bags. As she came to the front door, the maid opened the door with a beaming smile upon her face.

"Welcome home Mrs.-" the maid began to say. But before she had a chance to finish, Alicia burst into ears, and threw her arms around her.

"Please Ophelia!" Alicia cried. "Please call me Alicia. You know I hate such formalities."

"Well it's good to have you home, Alicia." Replied Ophelia as she returned her hug. "Are you hungry?" I would be more than happy to make your favorite meal for you. I know how much you love calamari."

"Actually Ophelia, it's strange." Alicia replied. "But ever since the accident, I've lost my appetite for seafood. I now for some reason seem to especially loathe calamari."

"Well I would be happy to make you something else." Said Ophelia.

"Thank you, Ophelia." Replied Alicia as she smiled. "But I'm just not very hungry. I'm going to be in the study. I'm expecting a visit from a new psychiatrist later. If you could just let me know when he arrives, I'd really appreciate it."

"Of course." Said Ophelia a she flashed a sweet smile. "And I just want you to know, That I really missed you, and it's good to have you home."

"I missed you too." Alicia told her she returned her smile. She then made her way into the study. As she entered, the first thing she saw was the painting that Roger had commissioned. He had hired a highly skilled artist to paint a large portrait. It was a copy of one of their wedding photos. It didn't just feature her, and Roger. But it featured James, and Holly as well.

As she looked at it, she just burst into tear. They had looked so happy in that picture, as if everything was perfect, and nothing could ever go wrong. She then stared into Roger's beautiful eyes.

"Oh Roger!" She cried. "I'm so sorry that you're gone! And I don't know if I can go on without you! I love you, and Holly, and James so much. I can't believe that I lost you, or James that night. And I'm also sorry about Vivian. Despite her problems, I know that deep down she loved her children. They tell me Holly is likely dead, but in my heart I know she's not. They never found her body, but they never found mine either. They thought I was dead too, until that naval ship found me. I know she's out there somewhere, alive! And I don't care if it takes me the rest of my life, I promise you I will find our daughter!"

All of a sudden there was a knock at the door. Alicia scrambled to grab some tissues, that were sitting on the desk.

"Come in!" Said Alicia and she quickly wiped her tears. Ophelia walked in, and than quickly shut the door behind her She was facing Alicia the entire time.

"Mrs-I mean Alicia."Ophelia announced with a goofy grin on her face. "Your a-your new psychiatrist is here."

Alicia felt confused s to why Ophelia was acting so strange.

"Ophelia?" Alicia inquired. "Are you alright?"

"Oh yes." Replied Ophelia whose eyes were as large as saucers. "May I, may I, be honest?"

"Of course." Replied Alicia. "Wait. He can't be that bad?"

"Oh no!" Replied Ophelia as she let out a shy chuckle. "He's not bad at all. In fact, I'd say if I wasn't a happily married woman—you know what never mind. I am a happily married woman. I really shouldn't be having such thoughts. I'll just let him in."

With a big silly grin on her face, Ophelia opened the door. To Alicia's surprise, she realized that Ophelia wasn't exaggerating. At that moment, in walked the most beautiful human male specimen she had ever seen in her life. He then took her hand, and bent down to kiss it.

"Please forgive me for being so unprofessional." He told her. "My action just now, would normally be considered inappropriate for a psychiatrist to have towards his patient. Granted, I was told that you were an incredibly beautiful woman, but still your beauty as taken me by surprise. It's a pleasure to meet you Alicia."
