I instantly sit up in alert. There's howling and running in the near distance. Jonathan is up just as fast next to me. He smells the air then growls for everyone to get up. We run out of the cave and hear how close they are.
*Jonathan, let's take the long way through the side of his territory.* I say.
He nods and we run around towards the left side of the cave. The others are getting close now. I let Jonathan take the lead and I stay behind everyone so I can keep watch. Jonathan circles around and we cut right into the Alpha Kings territory. Fear over whelms me and I know something isn't right. We keep running before Jonathan is cut off by wolves. He turns and gets cut off again until we're trapped. Jonathan and I stand in protective stances along with the guards. Their Alpha that's been chasing us steps up growling and pushing towards us. Jonathan holds his ground as they get closer. When the Alpha is close enough Jonathan pounces. The rest of the wolves come at us and we start attacking. Christina and Tasha guard the children while we fight off the wolves. A wolf comes at me biting my side. I feel its teeth sink into my side spilling blood. Chris knocks the wolf off biting it in the neck. Jose rubs beside me and attacks as I go for the Alpha. Jonathan and the Alpha circle until the Alpha has its back to me, that's when I jump onto its back and latch on biting and clawing. He growls and Jonathan goes for the neck. The Alpha is quick, but I'm still on his back. I bite down hard causing blood to come flowing out. He starts shaking trying to get me off until he rolls onto his back crushing me under his weight. He bites my neck making me gasp for air. His hold is firm, but not stable. I claw at his stomach and kick with all my strength. He starts clawing at me before biting down harder. A growl comes out of me as I kick and fight against it. My breaths are coming slower and I'm starting to run out. Black spots are forming in my vision and my lungs are on fire. Out of the corner of my eye I see Jonathan laying on the ground trying to crawl towards me. I whimper knowing he wont get to me. I look into the eyes of the Alpha trying once again to push him off. My strength is just about to fade when a strong body hits the Alpha off of me followed by a very bug, strong, and deep growl. I roll onto my stomach turning human before coughing up blood and wheezing. Jonathan is confused as he finally pushes himself up and limps over to me. When I finally stop almost dying I look up to see the biggest black wolf I've ever seen. He stands with many guards behind him. His presents makes my wolf cringe at the sight. She automatically forces herself back out before I have any time to control her. The wolf growls and takes a step towards me,

He growls.
Jonathan speaks up.
He motions to his guards and they Start gathering up the other pack forcing them into one big pod together. He turns to who I guess is his beta before looking at us again. His eyes scan the crowd stopping at me. He walks forward making some of my pack back away. The guards stay at my sides, but soon move when he growls. Jonathan never moves from me. He slides over slightly but that's as far ad it gets. The Alpha walks around me slowly taking in every part of my body. I hear Jonathan give off a low growl, but the Alpha doesn't seem to notice as he continues to take me in. He walks slowly in front of me and stops looking into my eyes. His fire blue eyes stare into mine I know he's smiling.
*Legendary White Wolf. Queen of the wolves. The rightful ruler.* He says.
*We are here to discuss safty problems.* I say.
*I see, this pack here will be punished for attacking the White Wolf, but I would like to know why you came to my territory.* He says the last part with a growl.
Jonathan moves closer to me because I know he is irritated. The Alpha is powerful and strong. He is only talking to me instead of the whole pack.
*We had no choice, and I knew that you would help us.* I say.
*Anything for the White Wolf.* He says.
I bow my head slightly and the Alpha turns nodding towards his beta. He nods back and howls before moving the other pack. Jonathan nudges me and I nod at him letting him know that I am okay. The Alpha stands talk and motions that we follow him. We all run towards a smaller mountain that just ahead of us. The Alpha leading the way. He gets to the side and a large door is reveled. It opens for us as we all run inside. The door is slammed shut and everyone shifts at the same time as the Alpha. Clothes are handed out to everyone. Once I'm in a big shirt I look around making sure everyone is here and safe. Looking around I can now see who was lost in the battle. Sadness comes over me, but I push it away trying to stay positive. Sophia comes next to me and holds my hand. It feels nice to have her next to me letting me know that everyone is okay now. The Alpha turns to us and smiles,

"My guards will lead you to the guest hall. There are more than enough rooms on that hall so feel free to choose any rooms you want."
We nod and start following some of the guards. The Alpha stops me before I can go any further,
"Didn't catch your name." He says.
"Renee, yours?" I ask.
No one has ever known the Alpha kings name. Its just not important because everyone just calls him Alpha. Calling him by his first name is a sign of disrespect. That's not taken lightly, especially with the Alpha King.
"Jared." He says.

Bloodlines
Bloodlines is the first major story set in the far larger and immensely connected universe known as Infinitum. A group of renegades and misfits take into the sky in their fancy skyship to fulfill the prophecy they don't care about and defeat the Empire they care even less about. In the process, they learn things (they would rather not) of the fucked up Universe, dead gods, and the future that holds no mercy. Bloodlines draws inspiration from One Piece. But in the bigger picture, Bloodlines is one of many stories set in Cosmere-like universe where plots stretch beyond planets and star systems and stakes are higher than godhood (like in Malazan chronicles). Currently, I am planning to finish the first arc [Bandit Arc], add 10k words interlude with some revelations, then publish a story happening elsewhere. Then I will be back to write the second arc. For now, the Fifth Region has 8 arcs planned. Officially, there are 5 regions. The Fifth Region is not the shortest but is far from the longest regions. - PS. Pay attention to flavor text. Chapters published weekly.
