《The Luna》Chapter 8- Long Journey

Renee coming out there and helping me was one of the bravest things she's ever done, but it wasn't the smartest thing. She could've gotten herself killed. Now i'm carrying her as she slowly heals. After we killed the rouges we started to heading for the hidden cave. We discovered this cave long ago and its a cave that ony my pack knows about. I've already mind linked everyone that that is where we are going. I've turned back into my wolf form and Renee is riding on my back with her arms wrapped around my neck. The children are riding on the backs of the parents. The guards are on the sides keeping watch as we walk. I know where Renee wants to go. Its not a bad idea, its just a really long way to travel, and we have to go through human lands. If we stay in our wolf forms we may be able to go with humans thinking we are just normal wolves, but the pack will have to act like normal wolves.
Renee asks.
She's very weak and tired, but she keeps talking to me so I can keep her wake. She doesn't want to sleep until she knows we are all somewhere safe.
*I'm thinking about your plan. Trying to see if we'll be able to do it.*I say.
I feel her smile and laugh lightly,
She says.
I smile and nod pushing myself to keep going. My wolf is enjoying being out this long. He never get to be out just because I want him out. Renee sits up stretching on my back and I stop causing everyone to stop. She gets off and lays on the ground. I turn human and check her wounds. They're almost completely healed. I nod at her and she nods back smiling. She takes the big shirts and black off handing it to a guard, then she shifts shaking out her white glossy fur. I smile and shift back before everyone starts moving again. I look around the forest in trying to see where we are. I smell the air and her a familiar sent. We're coming across Black Forest territory. I slow the pack and then stop when we're at the boarders. Soon I smell other wolves approaching. I tell the children to get behind the adult in case the boarder patrol isn't very nice. After a moment two wolves step out. They growl for a second then take in what is in front of them. They bow their heads to me and Renee before calling their Alpha. Renee stays close to me scanning the area. I know she's on edge since we've got Sophia out here with us. She'll attack anything that looks harmful. When the Alpha comes out shaking his coat out. He nods and I return the guester taking a small step forward.

Alpha Chris, my pack was attacked-*
*I am well aware of what has happened with your pack and if you think I'm just going to let you in mine you got another-*
I growl cutting him off,
He takes a second considering his options then nods. He sends messages out tell the others not to hurt us and I nod thanking him.
Renee says walking with me and the others past
him.
He nods and we keep walking. Maybe if we keep this us other Alphas will allow us to go through without any trouble. Renee brushes up against me and I smile seeing that she looks happier. Sophia is playing some of the kids while we walk. I growl lightly when one of them falls to the ground. They quickly get up and start playing again.
Once we're out of Chris' territory it starts getting dark. I don't like the whole idea of us camping out here with the rouges not far behind, but its the only option we have. Everyone finds they're own spot to sleep and lays down. I lay down with Renee and we're soon joined with Sophia. I order everyone to stay in the their wolf forms no matter what. I sigh and Renee lays against me relaxing. I can feel her heart beating faster as she lays next to me,
I ask.
She says.
She whimpers and my wolf feels for her. He feels her pain and saddness. I can almost feel everything that us going through her many emotions. I let my wolf take over slightly and he licks her cheek softly. She relaxes softly and I sigh knowing that she'll be okay.
She asks.
I sigh knowing that I don't actually know what to do. They're going to keep up what they're doing no matter what happens. Someone has to physically over power them, someone has to show them that they can't do this anymore. That's when I get the idea,
I whisper.

Getting Hard (Journey of a Tank)
Herald Stone always built tank characters in every MMORPG he played. To be immortal—that was his first Goal, a simple childhood dream. However, the turbulent realities of life put an end to his gaming days. Years passed, and Herald Stone, now having attained success and stability, was presented with the opportunity to redeem himself...to fulfill his first Goal. Trivial? Childish? Others might think so. But Herald Stone always fulfilled his Goals—every single one. No matter what. Immortality beckoned in Mother Core Online, and this time Herald Stone would answer. Choosing a long-forgotten race, hidden away in an unknown region, the journey of an immortal tank begins. This is the tale of Herald Stone...getting hard. Schedule: Mon-Wed-Fri ~1.8k-2.3k words per chapter. Also published on Scribblehub. My other ongoing story: REND | Royal Road Expect a focus on building a true tank in MMORPGs. Heavy game elements and numbers are present. But actual math will take a backseat to strategies involving skill builds and synergies that steadily become more complex while remaining understandable. The main character is atypical in LitRPGs or web novels as a whole. He might take some getting used to. Character arcs will develop over a long period. What you see now will be different as the main character changes. The start of Getting Hard is slow-paced (more so than others of the genre) and includes world-building and character development before focusing on the LitRPG.
