《The Luna》Chapter 2- Rouges

Helping Jonathan run the pack is diffuclt sometimes. You get people that break the rules and you feel that you shouldn't punish them, but you know its what has to be done. Like right now i'm standing next to Jonathan in the pack house with all 400 pack members. A man by the name of Josh has threatened to kill some of our members. Even though it was just a fight, he still almost killed another member. You see, it was just a fight, but this fight could've got one of our own killed. We could've lost a member because of something so stupid as a fight that was probably over something that doesn't even matter. Jonathan has already asked me what I think the punishment should be and I told he could use the right punshiment which is two months in a cell without food or water. The rest of the pack agrees with his punishment and he is taken away by the beta, Tyler, and our third in command, Jose. Jonathan leaves to finish taking care of some rouge attacks. I usually go with him, but instead I go into the village where the kids are and sit and play with them. I've been very found of the children ever since I first became Luna two years ago. I tried to have a kid of my own, but he didnt make it because of a rouge attack. When I got knocked down I ended up killing my baby. I've moved on, but the pain is still there. It is why we all hate rouges so much. They have no respect for life. Jonathan hates them more than anything. I understand why. I know that he was looking forward to being a dad. I was looking forward to being a mother, but there isn't anything we can do about it right now. Jonathan mind links me while I'm holding a little girl,

*Renee, there is a rouge heading towards the village. Stay on high alert.*

I smile lightly thinking about killing the stupid rouge. I hand the baby girl back to her mother and tell her to make sure none of the kids come out of their rooms. I then go outside and see two of our guards, Chris and Tom, walking towards the pack house. I tell them what is happening they nod agreeing to stay at my sides. I walk to the edge of the forest and listen for any movement of sounds of anything coming towards me. I hear leaves moving and branches braking to my left. I smell the air it smells only of a rouge. I launch myself foward ripping into my wolf form. Chris and Tom are in their wolf forms running at my sides. I run faster and meet the rouge in a stand down. He stands in an attack position and growls. I let out a growl letting my athority show. He whimpers for a slight second then comes running at me. I knock him into a tree. Chris and Tom come at that second and start attacking him. They bite at him and claw his body. I walk up beside them and when the rouge isn't paying any attention, I sink my teeth into his neck. His eyes dart back and forth as he tries to get me to let him go. I refuse and he starts kicking and clawing at Chris. Chris bits him again ahd he lets out a cry before fading away. Jonathan and the others coming running up. Chris and Tom give him a respectful nod and he returns it. He looks at me then,

*Are you okay?* He mind links me.

*Yeah, never better.* I say.

He nods and then growls once before running away back deep into the forest with the rest of the guys following him. I shift back and pull on a big shirt that was hidden in the trees. I go back with Chris and Tom at my sides still in their wolf forms.

*Are you alright Luna?* Chris asks.

*Yes, thank you for your help. You can go and help Jonathan now.* I say.

They both nod before running back into the forest. I get to the pack house and go up to my room. I sit on the bed and lay back thinking. The rouge looked like it was going to submit to me before it changed its mind. Why? No rouge has ever submitted. They've always done what hey wanted because they know that without a pack the only rules that have to follow are the laws of the werewolf's, and some don't even follow those. Its another reason why we kill rouges. Sometimes if a rouge backs down enough for us to capture it we will take it back to a holding cell and question it. Figure out why its here and why they became rouge in the first place. Some rouges had no choice but to go rouge. Those rouges are the ones that have a chance at surviving us. Our newest pack member, Christina, was a rouge. She had no choice but to go rouge because she was raped and passed around a lot in her old pack. We knew she didn't mean any harm and we let her into our pack. She even found her mate here just like I did. She's now pregnant with the first child that she actually wanted. We're close friends because I am the one that convinced Jonathan to let her stay. I strip out of the big shirt and pull on some shorts and a tank top. I get back in bed and pull the blankets up to my chin.

I chase the other three rouges down with the rest of boarder patrol. Seeing Renee in her wolf form and knowing that she is okay gave me strength. She's always done that for me, but I don't think she yet understands what she is. Sure she is wolf just like the rest of us, but that's not all. Renee is a special kind of wolf. Knowing that I get to call her mine gives me all the strength in the world. With her at my side, I know we are the most powerful pack in the world. We finally capture and kill off the rouges. No one submitted so we didn't have anyone to take back with us. Boarder patrol goes back to work. Chris, Tom and myself head back to the village. I don't shift back until I get to the pack house. I smell Renee already up stairs. Her smell is something you can't miss. Its like roses and vanilla. I go up stairs and find her already in bed half asleep. By the sound of her heart picking up and then slowing back down, I can tell she's not asleep yet. I slip on some boxers and climb into bed behind her kissing her shoulder. I move her hair our of the way reviling her mark and I kiss it lightly. She lets out a soft moan and turns over to face me smiling. He beautiful golden brown eyes look up at me as she scans my face for any marks. Her hand glides across my chest until she comes in contact with the scratch the rouge left. She kisses it lightly and I smile when it starts healing. The touch of your mate always heals, I think to myself. I press my lips to her's lightly and she returns my kiss. Then I let my arm down so she can lay on it. I lay on my back and she lays on my chest draping an arm over me. I hold her close to me and smile. I think about her beautiful sleeping face, before finally drifting off to sleep.
