"I want Divorce."
"Seharish, please don't do this to me."
" I don't want to live with you anymore. I don't want to waste my life in this two bedroom house."
"Seharish please don't go. Think about our daughter Airah. She's so small how could she'll be able to live without you."
"Burhan. I want Divorce that's final. And I'm not taking Airah with me. I will visit her when things get better."
"Seharish. Please don't go. I'm begging you."
"Burhan i loved you and a part of me will always, but I can't do this anymore. My dreams are bigger and you will never be able to fulfill them. Just forget that i ever come in your life. Goodbye."
He was holding his seven months old daughter in his arms. He was crying and so was his daughter. Burhan lost his love. Airah lost her mother.
"Burhan. Burhan."
She was looking around for him in every corner of the house. But he was sitting in the garden, overlooking the sky and lost in thoughts. She shooked his shoulder and he looked at her with puzzled expression.
"Sehar.....is"
Sehar's hold loosened on his shoulder when, he heard the extension in her name. She was shattered into pieces but she kept quiet. She knew she hadn't any right to question him.
"Burhan, Airah is sleeping peacefully. Her fever is also very low. I'm hopeful she will be fine soon."
Sehar sat beside burhan on the pavement and put the tray of coffee and muffins in between them. He took the mug and started sipping coffee quietly when rain started, and Sehar's face turned awful, she wasn't a fan of rain. Burhan was amused seeing her frowned face like a child, in three months of their marriage he has always seen her as a poised woman. He was looking at her like she was some kind of antique.
Sehar feeling his gaze on her looked at him, and raised her brows in question. Burhan laughed, and Sehar's expression changed she hadn't seen him laughing or even smiling in this three months of their marriage. Maybe this Rain was not awful only this time.

"You don't like Rain?"
Burhan took another sip of his coffee and looked her with intense eyes. She wasn't an extremely beautiful girl, she was very average looking girl with brown tanned skin, average height, curvy figure and long luscious hair that reaches till her mid thigh, but what has captured burhan's attention was her black eyes, that were always filled with worry for others. Sehar was very kind and compassionate girl.
"I don't like Rain."
Sehar started sipping her coffee.
"Me too."
Sehar looked at him, it was the first time she had find something common between them. Otherwise they've Nothing common. Burhan Ali was a very handsome man and an reputed IAS officer. Every girls dream man and she was just an average looking girl, with no Talent.
"Why don't you like Rain?"
Burhan took a piece of muffin, and took Sehar's hand in his. He was looking at her hands. They're beautiful. That's the one thought that crossed his mind.
"Burhan."
Sehar tried to free her hand from his grip but he didn't let it go.
"You know Sehar, she was the most beautiful woman I've ever led eyes on. But I never dared to go near her, instead she started chasing me. Wherever i go, she comes after. Whole University used to tease me, that what kind of man I'm. A girl is running after me, & I'm not showing any interest. They used to call her deewani and soon she won me over. We got married and had Airah. But that love fades away into thin air, when I'm not able to give her luxurious lifestyle. I'm a middle class man and she was an ambitious woman. I'm a practical man and she is daydreamer. She left me and our daughter. I was heartbroken, because she was the only woman I've ever loved."
Burhan looked at Sehar, he was making small circle on her palm. His eyes were red, he was controlling himself not to breakdown.

"And looked at my destiny. I lost her, but got everything she ever desired. I'm now a wealthy man, buy anything with money, but I cant have her. I have got You Sehar, but you're not my Seharish."
Burhan was opening his heart infront of her and all she was smiling bitterly, because she also can't have this man.
"I'm sorry Sehar. I know I'm hurting you, but i can't live a life with you based on lies. I want you to be happy, not miserable like me. If you want to leave me...."
Before burhan spoke another word, sehar placed her index finger on his lips, she shooked her head in a no, her eyes are wet with tears.
"Burhan. I don't want to go back ever. I want to live with you. I don't care, if you still love Seharish. I don't want to go back."
Burhan was flabbergasted with her sudden touch on his lips. He was shooked to core, sehar wanted to live with a man like him, who was already drowning in the misery of his failed Marriage.
"Burhan, you supported me when my whole family was against me. You supported me. You married me just to save my honor. When my own parents believed the lies of others, when my own parents threw me out of their house, just because i spent a night out of my home, they thought I'm characterless. They made false assumptions but didn't listened to me. And you who saved me from an accident was held accountable for the crime we didn't commit. I don't want to go back burhan. You and Airah are my family. I belong here."
With a heavy breathe she let go of her pain and frustration. Afterall she wasn't wrong. She was working as Burhan's assistant, providing for twelve members of her family. Her brother is a drunkard and his wife has four children to fed alongside her sisters and their wants. She was the only one who was earning, doing two jobs in a day. But when in an unfortunate events she got into a car accident and she had to spent a night in hospital, she didn't knew at that moment that her own family will labelled her as characterless. She would have died that day if Burhan hadn't step in to marry her. It happened so suddenly that both of them were clueless what to do next.
"I promise you Sehar that, i will try to be fair with you and give you everything you ever desire."
Burhan kissed the back of her hand and his eyes were holding respect and warmth for her.
Sehar had encountered many lusty eyes and unwanted gazes but nobody looked at her with so much respect. She was feeling butterflies in her stomach with his unwavering attention.
"Burhan."
Sehar tried to take her hand away from his grip, but Burhan wrapped an arm around her and whispered in her ears.
"Seharish se Sehar tak ka safar kar chuka hun,
Ab tum Burhan tak ka safar mukkamal karo. If yes then I'm waiting for you in 'our' room."
Burhan kissed her forehead gently and got up from his place. He was about to go, when Sehar stopped him, she was holding his hand and looking with moist eyes. She took a step towards him and hugged him tightly. Burhan smiled and hugged her even more tighter.
The rain was still pouring heavily, with every drop falling on the ground, it clears the slate of Burhan's heart, removing Seharish's name and writting Sehar's name. With every drop falling on the ground, it clears the cloud of disbelief from Sehar's heart and planting a new hope of love. Two broken people finding solace in eachother.
"From now on. I love Rain."
"Me too."
The End.
