جھک گیا آسماں

مل گئے دو جہاں

ہر طرف ہے ملن کا سما

دولیا ہے سجی, خوشبو ہر کہیں

پڑھنے آیا خدا خود یہاں

(The sky has bowed,

and the two worlds have met..

everywhere there is season of meeting..

there are palanquins ready, there are fragrances everywhere,

even God himself came here to read.)

Amal's whole body was clenching with pain. The beatings she had got from her father had made her weak. She was sitting in the room like a prisoner. And for what? Marrying Someone she loved.

When Maham came to know about her and Ahad, She started shouting and throwing so many accusations on Amal's character. Ahad's parent's never treated Amal like a servants daughter. They had raised her like their own which is the Reason Amal was allowed to live in the Mansion rather than Servants Quarter. She had always been on her best behaviour. She didn't took any advantage of their kindness. But as the saying goes,

"Muhabbat mai nahi hai farq

Jeene aur Marne ka

Ussi ko dekh kar jeete hai

Jiss Kaafir par dum nikle."

She was sixteen years old when for the first time she had met the infamous Chote Nawab of Bhopal. She was only four years old when Ahad had been sent to England for Higher Education. After that people only talked about him. And their words reached Amal's ears as well. She fell in love just with the things she got to know about him. Her love was Pure. She never wanted anything in return. But destiny had other plans.

Ahad returned after ten years to his homeland. He was merely a teenager back then. And now coming back to his motherland was so overwhelming for him. He would've never thought that a black haired beauty would be ruling over his heart. He had seen her in a simple black attire hiding herself with a long Dupatta. He knew that moment that he had been a gone case now.

Both of them exchanged pleasantries throughout a year until Amal turned seventeen and the bustling of Ahad's Marriage was started. She didn't wanted him to marry anyone other than her. And that's when her insecurities got the best from her.

Ahad and Amal got married on Amal's eighteenth birthday in Secret. She had given him all his rights without thinking anything. She had been naively in love. She thought he had truly loved her but all that was just a lie. She had waited for him to tell everyone that She is His Wife, Not a servant.

Ahad never acknowledged her as his wife. She was just a dirty secret that should be kept hidden. Every Night He made her believe that he loves her with his soft touches. Every Day he ignores her like he wasn't the one who had loved her whole night.

She had broken her father's trust and pride in the Name of So called Love. Her thoughts got a break when her door was opened. Two bulky men were coming towards her. They dragged her through the big corridors of the Mansion.

She was being manhandling by this men. Meanwhile her so called husband was standing their like a statue.

Ahad's eyes met with Amal's. One's eyes helding a silent plea of Sorry and The others was devoid of any Emotion.

"Wahab Aap humare bohot purane mulazim rahe hai. Aapka khandan humare Khandan ka khidmat guzar aur wafadar raha hai. Humne aapki neeyat par Kabhi shukk nahi kiya magar joh kaam Amal ne kiya hai woh maafi ke Qabil nahi hai. Bina Nikah kiye isne Humare bete ko apni aadaon mein fasaya. Ab Ahad akele nahi hai unki shaadi ho chuki hai. Amal ki izzat par aur baat naa aaye isliye hum aapko hukum de rahe hai aap Amal ko lekar yahan se chale jaaye. Aur ainda yahan mat aayega. Khuda Hafiz."

( Wahab you've been our oldest servant. Your forefathers had served us with loyalty and dedication. We had never questioned your intentions. But what Amal had done is not forgivable, she had lure Ahad with her beauty and had slept with him. Ahad is not alone he's a married man now. I don't want anymore Accusations on Amal that's why I've decided its better for you and Amal to leave this House now. And Yeah Don't ever comeback here. May you'll be In Lord's protection.)

The stern Voice of Badi Begum, (Ahad's Grandmother) was echoed through the halls of Mansion. She had made her decision clear. She left giving Amal and her father a disgusting look. Like its only Amal who had done the deed not Ahad.

Ahad's eyes moistened up at his cowardice. His wife Amal was accused of things she never did. She was being slut shamed by everyone yet she didn't opened her mouth to tell them that she wasn't a slut but the Lawfully wedded wife of their Grandson.

Ahad looked at the retreating back of Amal and her father. She was wrapped with teh same Dupatta in which he had seen her for the first time. He tried to stop them but before that Maham came in his view and she held his hands gesturing him not to.

Amal looked back at the Mansion with disgust in her eyes. Her father holding his head down with the shame his daughter had bestowed upon him. But still his a father how could he ignore the plea of her most beloved daughter. He believes his daughter, that she would never done a sin like that.

Its been eleven long years since that humiliation Amal had faced. Her father had passed away the moment they reached their hometown. Her Father was now buried six feet under the earth. And all because of her poor choices. She had been blessed to have a degree. She joined the nearby school in her locality and started making a living for herself. Everything was going good till she found out that she's pregnant. Her whole world was crushed. She had lost her father just a month before and now when life was going on track another Obstacle came in her way. Nonetheless she loved her Child more than anything. She had instantly fall in love with Azaan the moment she held him in her arms. Her motherly love grew day by day more. She totally forgot about herself. Her main goal was to provide the best for her child.

Azaan wasn't like other children. He is a very mature kid, he understands the hardships his mother faces for him everyday. The Nawabi blood in him had started roaring in his veins since the day he started walking. He always tries to shield his mother with the prying eyes.

"Azaan bete zara dekho darwaza par kon hai?"

"Ji Ammi."

(Azaan see who's knocking at the door?)

(Yes, Mother.)

Azaan stood up to see who is at the door. When he opened the door he saw a man in his late fifties looking at him horrified. He didn't acknowledged him so he called out his mother.

"Ammi dekhein koi uncle aaye hai."

"Kon uncle beta."

(Ammi see some uncle is here.)

(Who uncle?)

Amal came out of kitchen to see who's at the door. She got shocked when she see Rahim chacha her father's friend and one of the Servants At Mansion.

She looked at him suspiciously after all what does he's doing here. She looked at him with her eyebrows raised.

"Amal bete. Chote Nawab nahi rahe hai. Aaj unka aakhri safar hai. Unki akhri khawahish thi ki woh tumhe dekehe."

(My Daughter Amal, Chote nawab is no more. Today is his last rites. His last wish was to see you)

Amal's whole being was shattered. She stand their like a mannequin. Doing nothing just staring at the man Infront of her.

It was a two hour flight. She was in a haste no tears or sob left her mouth. Azaan was looking at his mother with horrified expression but chose to kept quiet.

Amal, Azaan and Rahim chacha reached the Mansion. The mansion that was once a living proof of happiness. Now was just a hollow piece of architectural design.

Amal entered the big hall in which once was her dignity was shattered into pieces. All sorts of accusations were put on her head.

She saw Badi begum and bade nawab crying hysterically. And a Maham whose looking like someone had snatched her favourite toy.

Badi Begum looked at her and then to Azaan and hold them both in a bear hug. Amal couldn't believe this was the same lady who accused her of adultery. Now this very woman looking at her like she's some Goddess.

"Amal bete uski aankhein band ni huyi. Woh tumhara intezaar karte karte is duniya se rukhst ho gaya. Uski Ankhein aaj bhi sirf tumhari muntazir hai. Humein maaf kardo beta. Humein maaf kardo."

(Amal he's eye's weren't close even after his last breath. He is waiting for you and now he left us. His eyes are still waiting for you. Please forgive us. Please forgive us.)

Amal took slow steps towards the Janazah. Her love was lying inside. Her Ahad was on going on his last journey. She looked at his face. Hsi eyes were opened. The same shinning black but now lifeless were staring at her. She took his dead face in her hands and kissed his forehead, cheeks, nose and then finally both of his eyes. Ahad's eyes were closed now. Amal's eyes wasn't shedding any tear instead a beautiful smile formed on her lips.

Azaan comes towards her mother hold her shoulders and asked her whose that man is.

"Yeh tumahara Baap hai meri jaan. Aaj tum sachme yaateem ho gaye. Tumahare wali aur mere sar ke sai chale gaye."

(He's your father my son. Today you're truly an orphan. Your father is no more my husband is no more.)

Azaan looked at his mother and then on the lifeless body of His father. A tear fall down his eyes. The small shoulder of a ten year old now taking the toll of his father's last rite.

Amal hold Azaan's cheeks and looked at him with all the love she had in her heart. She looked at him like she was looking at him for the last time.

"Badi begum.....Mere Azaan ka khayaal rakhiyega. Yeh aapke pote ki akhri nishaani hai. Mera beta ka khoon halal hai. Iske maa baap ne koi gunaah nahi kiya tha..."

(Badi begum....Take care of My Azaan.. he's the son of your grandson. My son is a legitimate Child. His mother and father didn't committed any sin.)

She left Azaan's cheeks and her eyes were closed now. She took her last breath on the death bed of Her Beloved Ahad.

That day two coffins were lifted from the Mansion. Two lovers who were separated by the powerplay of politics, secrets and lies were now reunited at the Gates of Heaven.

Amal and Ahad were lying six feet under but close to eachother.

The End.
