My son never had bladder problems but lately, i noticed that every morning, his bed will be wet. I would say,
"Boy, why did you wet your bed?"
"I didn't," he replied me.
This went on for about 2 weeks. My son is only 9 years old. I knew about kids having issues when they go to sleep and ending up wetting their bed almost every morning but my son NEVER had those problems.
Sometimes i would get so annoyed until i threatened him,
"If you wet your bed again, i will ask you to sleep on the floor instead!"
One day, i decided to get the help of a religious teacher because my gut feelings were telling me it wasn't my son's fault and.. true enough, what the religious person told me was shocking!
I felt sad and scared at the same time because he told me that every night for the past 3 weeks, a spirit / demon from the sea had been sleeping on the same bed as my son!
Then, i recalled about a month ago, my family and i had went for a picnic at the beach. According to the religious teacher, my son had stepped on or kicked 'something' that's supposed to belong at the sea and now the 'thing' is attracted to my son!
He gave me a piece of paper with some readings/mantras on it. He instructed me to go to my son's room between 2 to 4 am in the morning to recite it in front of my son's room without blinking my eyes after i opened the door to my son's room. I did what was told and when i slowly opened my son's bedroom door, i saw it with my own eyes!

Something was sleeping with him on the bed and the moment i blinked, it was gone! Till now i could not forget what i saw in those 5 seconds! The condition was not to blink my eyes and don't switch on the lights and..true enough, i saw it!
The next day, i called the person and he came to my house to do some cleansing. After what felt like forever (2 days) , everything came back to normal. Lesson learnt ; to always pay attention to our kids about what they are doing because who knows next time, their life could be in danger due to something unexpected.

It may not be readily apparent in the beginning, but that's what I have planned (I feel the need to emphasize the dark; don’t rage at me if it gets too ‘traumatizing’ or something). I’m going to take my time with this, so it won’t immediately inundate you with doom and gloom. This is also a comedy, remember? On that note, if for some cursed reason you just can't handle either the references or the jokes, I am willing to battle in the comments. Anyway, I still put a significant amount of effort into the system, so I hope you enjoy that part. It is a little bulky, I'll admit to that, but I wanted to try something new and its more fun when there's more depth to it. Regardless, I still have a lot of fun doing math in the middle of writing a fictional story (/s). I also want to see if I can keep from messing up the pacing. Many times, I end up going too fast because I'm afraid of the story getting boring, which tends to ironically have the opposite effect. I'm still learning I suppose; we'll see how things go. Lastly, please leave reviews and comments, they really mean a lot to me and (usually) help me improve considerably. I'll be asking for feedback in the polls and I do still check the old ones from time to time. Notes: The story takes a bit of time to develop; give it time if you're here for drama, grimdark, or antihero. The system is all blue boxes and I'm not half-assing the numbers. Chapters will be between 1k and 2k words usually. I always use the oxford coma, fight me. Might drop if rating falls below 4 stars, idk. It depends on how my life is going.
