Ariel

Rubbing my eyes I woke up for the second time in the hospital bed, but this time there was no Jared. Sighing... I felt kind of guilty that I had shouted on him, I mean he was trying to be there for the baby but the pain was too much and my emotions were all over the place.. I just couldn't ... I just couldn't stand the sight of him at the time...

Standing from the bed ,I made my way towards the door at the other side of the room which I assumed was the bathroom but something caught my eye at the corner . . . . I saw Jared? What was he doing there he looked so tired and weak and some how it broke my heart to see him that way. . Jared was always strong he he never showed his weakness to anyone... What happened must have troubled him very much.

I didn't even know when I knelt before him and spent some good minutes just staring at him he was always a beauty to behold ....a man so handsome to be called beautiful. . I stretched out my hands and touched his face so lightly so I wouldn't wake him up and also because I didn't want him to know I ever touched him. His face felt a little rough cos he hadn't shaved yet. . If things were just a little bit different maybe touching him wouldn't be a secret pleasure but rather an opened one. . Wanting to take my hands off I looked up and found his eyes on me. . My heart skipped a beat, oh my god he wasn't supposed to be awake. .

In my shock I forgot to take my hands off his face but all he did was stare at me like I was the best thing that he had seen in a long time... He started saying something but I was too distracted up until he kissed me .....wait.... wait ... HE KISSED ME ???

"Jared what did you just do? "I said looking at him surprised. . He looked at me confused then rubbed his eyes then he looked at me again his eyes widened "I really... I really I swear I didn't mean to do that I mean ...I mean, I meant to do it but I really thought it was a dream I swear I didn't mean to cross boundaries. . I-I...I really__ " he mumbled stuttering

I quickly stood up and turned my back to him.. I could hear and feel my heart beating so fast ..I heard him stand behind me "Ariel..i__" I interrupted him with my back still turned to him "food! Yes...I'm hungry_ just get me something to eat please" I squeaked in a high pitched voice that wasn't my own..

It was silent for a second..that felt like hours before he sighed " OK , sure.. anything particular you want?" He asked..I nodded still giving him my back " pizza" I mumbled in a low voice.. "OK..I will be right back..but Ariel please go back to bed..you are not meant to be on your feet" he said still standing behind me..I nodded and moved to the bed before I heard the door close.

I laid down and touched my lips. ...I felt my checks lift in a smile...he kissed me...he had never kissed me before..yes it must have been a mistake for him but he never made such mistake before... maybe he cares a little about me..I know I shouldn't be having such hopes but I can't help it...I still love him..

Touching my lips once more...I closed my eyes and made a secret wish... that he would love me back.
