《Wedding Flowers [Completed]》6.

One day before wedding...

When we finally arrive at the hotel/ wedding venue we all jump out and practically sprint to the nearest bathroom. Meaning, Boomer sprints to the lawn and Ryder runs inside and I am left with waiting with a full bladder until Boomer finds a sufficient spot to not only pee but poop too.

"Boomer, come on!" I say rummaging through the car for a plastic bag to clean his mess up. Boomer looks at me like he's amused, "wipe that face off. This is not a fun trip."

He looks at me tilting his head with wide brown eyes, "let's go get dinner."

At the word dinner he perks up and walks right next to me into the hotel.

"Wait, are dogs even allowed here?" Ryder asks making his way back to us.

"I obviously checked before," I say rolling my eyes. Since the wedding is two hours away from the shop and I'd have to be here a day earlier the price for travel was included in the flower price.

Normally, I might feel badly but I'm taking advantage of this. When Graham told me the hotel I called to see if I could bring Boomer (since at that time he was my only date option).

The lobby of the hotel is stuffy. Golden chandeliers hand every few feet, the check-in desk is dark wood with gold accents, and the chairs are so stuffed that it's obvious they are uncomfortable. Oh and the black and white checkered shiny floor tiles are just tacky and disgusting. Just like Leah.

I'm already annoyed by this whole weekend. I stomp up to the stupid check-in desk and wait for someone to come help me. The whole place is deserted.

"What the fuck? Does anyone even work here?" I grumble loudly.

"Chill, Addison," Ryder scolds holding onto Boomer's leash like his lift depends on it. And I guess it does, because if Ryder lost Boomer he would probably be killed. By me.

"Don't tell me to chill!"

"How can I help you?" A man in a navy suit says from behind the desk. His hair is perfectly slicked back and his smile is large as he looks from me to Ryder to Boomer.

"Checking in. Addison Thomas."

He types on the computer for what feels like ever and I realize in that moment that I still haven't peed and my bladder might explode all over the stupid tile.

"Shit," I say. The man looks up at me and then back down.

"Okay, room 303," he says handing me a pamphlet and two card keys.

"Enjoy your stay, Miss. Thomas." I can tell he doesn't mean it. He is pissing me off just by standing there like a perfect little statue.

I go to open my mouth but before words come out Ryder is pulling me away by my arm and leading (dragging) me towards the elevator.

"God, even the elevators are gold? Who the hell robbed a leprechaun?" I mutter shaking my head.

Ryder laughs and pushes the up button, "you sort of scare me."

I look at his tall muscular frame and smile. Because if I "sort of" scare him then I wonder what Graham thinks of me.

"That wasn't a compliment," Ryder says.

I shrug and push the button for floor three. Before the doors close I hear, "wait."

"Oh no no no," I say holding down the elevator close door button.

"What the hell," Ryder says placing his hand in between the doors so they remain open.

Graham walks in thanking Ryder before noticing me and Boomer standing there.

Boomer's tail starts to wag uncontrollably fast, his tongue is out and he is about to have a freaking heart attack.

Graham looks from Boomer to me and I can see him visibly tense up.

"Hey," Graham says bending down to pet Boomer.

"Don't touch him," I say.

"Oh, come on, Addy." Graham says standing upright.

"Graham?" Ryder asks.

"Hi," Graham says sticking out his hand like he is at a business meeting.

Ryder shakes his hand and then walks closer to me.

"This is Ryder--,"

"Addison's boyfriend," Ryder finishes my sentence. I look up at him and my cheeks automatically redden, for the second time in his presence.

"Your boyfriend?" Graham repeats.

I nod and hope that Graham can't tell when I'm lying like he used to be able to. I mean two years is a pretty long time and his memory isn't that great.

"So then why didn't you answer me when I asked if you were bringing anyone?" Graham asks and I wonder why the hell this elevator is moving so slow.

"This is kind of an awkward situation for all of us, don't you think?" Ryder says saving my ass, "We discussed if I should even come but then we figured why the hell not? Free booze and a hotel room?" Ryder winks at me.

Graham is so uncomfortable and I almost feel bad but then the elevator dings and the three of us head off to our room.

"Again, how the hell are you single?" I ask grabbing the keycard out of my pocket.

He shrugs, "you're welcome."
