Bright full moon surrounded by a blinding silver glow , proudly flaunting its beauty. All the stars picketing around her like brave soldiers to its queen in the darkness of the night.

February wind is blowing, brushing her ivory skin sending chills to her bones, her beautiful open brown hairs dancing with the winds like a serpent moves on the sound of bean. Her eyes staring at the moon unblinking, drinking into the beauty of the night, calming the turmoil going inside her heart since three days.

She came here to find peace escaping from the chaos happening downstairs in Haveli. Finally its Haniya's special day tonight, she was looking so happy, glowing like an angel; all set to start a new journey of her life.

Everyone in Haveli have been so busy in preparation, not having enough time to even breath. Haveli have been bustling and buzzing since morning with chaos of helpers in the morning till evening and now with loudly chatting and laughing guests.

Even in such uproar it was becoming hard to distract herself or to escape such negative thoughts as the end of Haniya's wedding function time is coming closer.

She is scared for her fate; she can just pray only to her Rab to develop love in her husband heart for her. Right after Haniya's wedding they will be preparing for Zayan's wedding and the thought alone making her feel like a lump stuck in her throat, feeling scratchy and sore.

And the way they both have been ignoring each other again since that confrontation in her room, especially him. He is even avoiding to look in her way and its hurting her. His berukhi is eating her from inside. She knows he doesn't love her but she can live with it, she can live without his love but she can't leave without him. And unfortunately she has came too for in his ishq where she can't stop loving him. Loving him is as easy as breathing for her. He is her undoing. She don't know what will happen to her if she will loose him. She has been surviving the torture of this Haveli only in hopes of receiving his love.

"Mahi? What are you doing here?"

Mahi instantly wiped her tears hearing that surprised familiar male voice. She quickly wiped her tears from her face before he can notice and thankfully its dark enough here so won't notice her red eyes because she has been crying since an hour.

"Haami?" She turn around facing him before crossing her hands to her chest. "I can ask you the same question by the way."

He chuckled before answering while moving towards her since she was on the edge of the balcony leaning on it. far from him. Looking so beautiful; bewitching like a goddess of the sun; glowing in her golden lehenga in the dark night.

"Well I came here to attend the call; now you tell me?" He asked playfully wiggling her brows. Standing beside her on appropriate distance leaning on the same hand rail.

"There was too much crowd down there. Just came here for fresh air." She replied.

They both then stood there silently comfortable, not speaking anything, staring together at the moon for good few minutes. It was so peaceful.

"Maahi!" he finally broke the silence softly calling her, his eyes still staring at the moon.

"hmm?" she lazily hmmed, she was too staring at the moon.

"Proposal k bare me kya socha?" He blurted out that tickling question. He has been desperately waiting for her response since three days but there was no reply from her yet. He don't like beating around the bushes. He liked here since one year but waited for the right time to propose in the right way. But her lack of response is messing with his feelings.

She stared at him for a good moment. He is really s handsome man, wearing black tux with red tie, that cute boyish look, messy black here. Beautiful dimple appears whenever he smile and always reaches his eyes; one of the main reason for girls to throw themselves on him. He has that charming personality and always a playful aura around him. The most attractive trait about him is he is fearless and opinionated, he doesn't have the habit to beat around the bushes. Whoever girl will marry him will be so lucky but unfortunately Mahi isn't the one.

"huh!" she sighed and his hand gripped the rail firmly to control his anxiety, preparing himself for her answer. "I..I can't!" she said helplessly.

A disappointed look morphing on his face while he looked up in the sky inhaling a sharp breath, his hand now clenching and unclenching on the rail. And she stared at him apologetically.

"Haami yo..you are a good guy and any girl would be lucky bu..but I..I..." he interrupted her rambling with his just one straight question, staring right back at her in anticipation.

"Just tell me why? not this crap Mahi."

It was a simple question but difficult for Mahi to answer. She wanted to tell him her secret but she can't.

"But first tell me why you made that scene of asking my decision in front of my family?"

She came with her own question as a condition to answer him. She can't forget how her family accused her of stealing someone's man, going behind Zayan's and everyone's back after Haami's proposal.

"Because I didn't want you to take your decision under your family pressure. I wanted the decision to be yours solely because the way those people you call family treats you won't let you make any decision regarding your life. Especially if its about me."

He cleared her confusion leaving her surprised and overwhelmed at the care and concern he has for him. She is really like to have him as her friend but this is it. She can't give him more than that.

"Now answer my question." He asked sternly and she knows he can't lie anymore; at least not to him.

"I..I love someone else." she stammered nervously playing with the corner of her dupatta while he stood there shock on her confession.

"Who?" It was just a whisper and she pleaded him with her eyes not to ask sny further.

"Maahi, tell me who? Does he love you? Since when? At least tell me something." He freaked out.

"I don't know about him but I have been in love with him since I was fifteen!" she sadly smile shrugging her shoulders and he stared her in disbelief.

"So you are wasting your life on someone that you don't even know loves you or not. This is crazy Mahi!" And she chuckled in response.

"Okay now please tell me who is he? I am your only friend Mahi forgod sake! I should be mad at you for hiding such thing from me but anyways you can compensate by telling his name." He asked eagerly. Shaking her by her arms. he still can't digest that his innocent Mahi has been loving someone secretly and no one even have the air of it.

She wanted to tell him everything in that moment and was gathering courage to speak when an angry voice thundered on the terrace, flinching them in shock and horror.

"What the hell is going on here?" It was Zayan breathing heavily, glaring at both of us like we were doing something wrong. Fire swirling in his dark eyes.

He has been avoiding Mahi since that confrontation in her room. He is going through real stress since that day, Mahira's every spoken word still stabbing him like a dipped needle in poison. His insecurities, her fear , his ego everything has been clouding his mind. He was avoiding her because he needed space from her to clear his feelings, the thought of her leaving him messing terribly with his feelings.

Perhaps he was avoiding her, but there still isn't a day or moment he remember when he have gone without sparing a glance in her direction, stealthily drinking in her beauty on Haaniya's every function when Mahi isn't watching or too busy to notice. Its like a spell that he can't get rid of even if he wants too. His eyes always wandering in search of her 24x7. And he don't know why he feels restless when he don't spot her anywhere for good moment. And also tonight this is what brought him here, he came here in search of her not seeing her down there since an hour making her restless; making him feel like a big burden on his chest.

And now he stood there in front of them tall and proud in beige sherwani paired with navy blue shawl wrapped on his shoulder; looking his every inch like the Shehzada he is. He never thought he will find her with him ; standing just a feet away from eachother. His hands holding his wife by her arms; touching her making his blood boil.

"Relax Zayan Bhai! Why always so hyper bro?" Haami chuckled with a confused look on his face on Zayan's such reaction. "I understand your brotherly instincts to protect her since the way family treat her but dude!"

He made a harmless joke to ease the situation rather it fueled his anger hearing him calling Mahi his sister while Mahi was staring at both of them with anxious look on her face. If Haami was really blind or was purposefully ignoring the seething look on Zayan's face that he is efforts of calming and assuring Zayan is constantly failing and his last attempt was the nail in the coffin.

"Bro look! You already know I have good intentions about your sister; so please calm that hulk down in you!" He raised his hands in surrender.

"

And the next moment a mad Zayan was grabbing Haami by his shirt taking Haami and Mahi off guard. Mahi gasp, palming her mouth in horror.

"bu..but.."Haami was baffled by such reaction and before he can complete his sentence Zayan beat him to it.

"She isn't my sister!" He yelled at him pushing him away leaving his collar and then roughly grabbed Mahira's hand before sending last glare in Haami's way.

"Biwi hai meri! Mahira Zayan Hamadani!"

And he dragged her from there still not bothering to look at her like a crazed bull leaving Haami frozen on his place. While Mahi was staring at him unblinking. She can't believe he just confessed and claimed her as his wife for the first time so openly in front of someone. Her eyes filling with happy tears and she thanked her Allah in her heart a thousand times and promised to offer nafil right after Haaniya's rukhsati.

Suddenly he pulled her to an isolated corner in the right evading the room full of guests and shoved her to the wall, roughly pinning her arms above her head by her wrist, breaking her golden bangles in process. She hissed in pain, their eyes locking with eachother. Hers confused one to his stormy ones.

"Zayan it's hurting, leave me hand. Mujhe taqleef ho rahi hai." She struggled to free her hands from his bruising grip but his angry eyes stayed on her unblinking.

"Aahh Zayan!" She winced when broken glass from her bangles pierced her delicate skin, drawing blood while thrashing in his hold.

"Shhhh! Ye us taqleef ki adhi bhi nahi hai Mahira jo mujhe abhi mehsoos ho rahi hai."

His voice was dangerously low and threatening. He can't erase that scene from his brain when he spotted them together close to eachother, smiling speaking.

"Yakeen maane ye jo taqleef apko abhi mehsoos ho rahi hai na, Isse main hr roz, hr lamha guzarti hu." Mahira's spat bitterly. Her eyes flashed immense anger and pain.

"leave it on your sharp tongue to win a battle against entire sword army." He mocked smirking on her yet amusing retort.

"problem kya hai aapki?" She yelled gritting her teeth. "Hmesha yu mujhe manhandle karte rehte hai." She exasperated annoyed by his behaviour.

It started bothering her. Either they don't talk or if they do its always angry screaming and yelling. Pulling and cornering her everytime.

Tum ho meri problem!" He retorted instantly while twirling her around abruptly, clutching her wrist behind her back, his front supporting her back. They both now breathing heavily, one in anger and other in discomfort.

"Pagal kr rakha hai tumne mujhe, or isse pehle main tumhari wajah se apna pura hosh kho baithu or kuch esa kr baithu jiska afsoos hm dono ko ho. Behtar hai mere khilaf jana band kr do Mahira!"

He threatened in her ears, whispering with dead seriousness. Unknowingly exhaling the sweet intoxicated smell of her soft hairs, her soft skin of her arm feels amazing underneath his palm. Everything about her is addicting and now he knows he already have fell too deep into it. He is an addict now ; the kind of addict who will turn homicidal if not getting his craving for his favourite drug fulfilled.

"Or kyu manu main apki baat? Kyu farq parta hai apko itna ?"

She hissed looking at him from corner of her big angry eyes , taking even his last left self control away. That dangerous pair of big brown innocent eyes is the reason of all the troubles that has started in his life since the first time he did a huge mistake of looking into it. The night he looked into her eyes he became a prisoner to her unknowingly. It was his doom!

"Kyunki tumahri is Qurbat pe sirf mera haq hai!"

And again she was pinned to the wall next moment. Her jaw clutched in his hand. His body completely plastered on her, both breathing sharply. Nose brushing each other, their hot breath fanning each others faces, lips merely mm away. Their heart started pumping so fast, rushing blood rapidly in their system, beats going wild.

His eyes pooling with immense junoon and untamed craziness for her, sending shivers to her bones. Her eyes unblinking staring at him senselessly.

"Tumhare aas pas kisi parindey ka bhi par marna mujhe jala k rakh kar deta hai."

His voice turned soft but the passion and desperation swirling in his eyes still there.

"Tumhari qurbat pana chahta hu!"

His voice was so low. and sounding drunk in passion and desire while she stood there numb by such display of passion for her.

"Tumhare itne kareeb hona chahta hu k hawa ko bhi tumhe chune se pehle meri ijazat leni parey."

His hand leisurely wrapping around her waist pulling her to his chest awaking her senses, his head hiding in the crook of her neck, nuzzling lazily, burning her skin. They both were perfectly moulded in each others embrace. Mahira's eyes were brimming with tears, her heart jumping in her chest in joy. How she waited for him for so long to embrace her like this; as if she is his most priced possession. Blocking every thought in her mind she closed her eyes, reciprocating their embrace enjoying the moment. If it's not him confessing his love then what else it is? This is the first time he spoke many things but she has nothing to say in return and unfortunately she is liking it. She is liking her failing heart. Its the first time she is seeing a dawn of hope in her dark life.
