《The Steele Brothers (Completed)》40. Epilogue - Ten Years Later

"Blaise put that down" I shouted as my nine year old son crept round the corner, hose pipe in his hand as he silently inched closer to Leo and his son Romeo, who at six was just as bloodthirsty as the older boys and was in the process of refilling one of the giant water guns that Jett had brought the kids to play with this summer.
There were 12 of them in total, one for each of the children and one for each of my husbands, I had overhead Leo telling Dom earlier they needed to buy more, for both their places and for here, before the talk had moved to paintball guns for the winter months and I has moved away not wanting to hear any more.
"Aw Mum!" Blaise looked at me disappointed but understood the hose was an unfair advantage and dropped it in favour of the gun over his shoulder.
The suddenly feel of icy cold water hitting my side made me scream as Leo turned the gun on me.
Everything went silent as both the boys turned and looked at Leo, Blaise dropping the hose and running, shouting for his fathers and I grinned at the manic look on Leo's face, but before he could shoot again Romeo was shooting ice cold water straight into his fathers laughing face.
"Bad Daddy" Romeo shouted running over and standing in front of me and Leo laughed as Romeo shot him again, the whole of his front now soaked.
"What the hell is going on here!" we turned in sync towards the house where Raven was stood on the terrace glaring down at us all.
"Daddy shot Aunty Vivi and she screamed, I am protecting her" Romeo's sweet voice filled the silence and then chaos ensured as Jett, Ash and Grey appeared around the side of the house accompanied by all four of our boys, Blaise, Benedict, August and Lucas and Dominic and his two sons Remi and Dante.

"Get him" the children cried together as they aimed every water gun at Leo, who tried to run but was cornered by his brother and father who appeared out of nowhere with the biggest water gun we had ever seen.
I watched bemused as Leo tried to avoid being their target, all the men and children laughing and enjoying chasing him down, except one...
I sighed and leaned back into the arms that wrapped the towel around me, his hand coming to lightly rest on my stomach, "Are you okay my love?" Raven asked softly, as I turned away from the chaos and smiled up at him.
"I am, we are" I agreed softly leaning into him.
"I'm going to kill him when the children have had their fun" he growls watching the water fight over my shoulder.
"He doesn't know, and when you tell him it will be punishment enough" I say and he growls, ever my protective grump "trust me, he will feel bad about it" I push and he nods. We weer going to tell everyone at dinner but this was just a little earlier.
I was pregnant again and this baby was going to be the first girl that any of our generation had had. It had become a running joke when boy after boy had been born that the first to produce a girl would be Queen... now I just had to tell my husbands as well as the family.
"They caught him" he whispers and I turn in his arms to see the boys marching him towards me, Leo's hands raised in submission as he laughs.
I smile as they all approach, I love my family, for all its chaos we have a bond that many families don't.
"Beg for forgiveness" Raven growls and I elbow him in the stomach and he huffs at me.

"Sorry Viri" he laughs, his eyes twinkling and I cant help but smile back.
"Not funny" Raven grumps again, his hands coming round me to cup my stomach and I watch as Leo's eyes follow his movement and the second he works it out.
"No, I didn't know, oh Viri... Are you okay?" he rushes out and my husbands laugh as Leo looks panicked.
"What's wrong?" Dom steps up to his brothers side, his own eyes widening as he too realises what we haven't yet voiced.
"We are pregnant" I smile as I tell them both and my husbands all beam with joy, me telling Dom and Leo means they can shout about it now.
"Is it?" Dad asks suddenly popping up at my side and making me jump.
I look back at Raven, before looking at each of my men, this was something I hadn't yet told them, something we all wanted... I held out my hands for my husbands and they all surged forward to touch me as I let them know.
"Its a girl" I whisper, squealing as Jett picks me up out of Ravens hold and swings me round.
"A girl?" Dad asks again and I nod, laughing as he cheers and goes rushing back to the house, I know he is looking for mum to share the news, Uncle Luca hot on his trail, probably to pester Dom and Leo's wives that they need to get pregnant so he isn't left without a granddaughter too.
"Viri..." Leo steps forward and I can tell he is worried and I laugh at him, wriggling our of my husbands holds and pulling Leo into a hug.
"Its only water Leo, and it give me joy to see you all playing together like this" I tell him honestly and he smiles back.
"I am sorry, even if my wife will be cursing you now, you sure its a girl, do you know how much trouble a girl will be, you'll need security, wait till she's dating" he rambles and I see panic on my husbands faces as they recognise what having a girls means.
"We will keep her safe, and no dating till she's 30 at least" Grey mutters and we laugh.
The sound of shouting from the house heralds the arrival of the rest of the family emerging to join us, Ma and mum both leading the charge, excitement on both their faces.
I feel a tug on my hand and look down to see the children have pushed in around their fathers legs and are gazing up a me.
"Don't worry mummy. We will protect her" Blaise tells me, lifting a hand to rest on my stomach, his brothers following suit and I feel my emotions hit and my eyes water at their love.
This was what family was all about, love, understanding, trust and love, love, love.

Necromancer's Resolve
Foster Locke's life wasn't the harshest it could have been. But it wasn't the easiest either. Despite losing the last of his family and having immense debt thrown on him, getting the chance to keep practicing Martial Arts pulled away, and having a completely messed up sleep-schedule, he usually tried his best to stay positive to the outside world. Of course, that wasn't always possible, especially not when he was staring into the glowing eyes of a man-eating creature he had never heard of before. The glowing message-box that accompanied it wasn't much better either. Not to mention the fact that he was suddenly in a dark forest instead of the train station. This isn't a story of great anguish, inescapable peril, or heroic world-saving. Rather, it's one of a young man trying to get by in a world that seems to try his best to kill him. I hope you enjoy the read. --- Cover Image temporary [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
