I watched as the girl, Viridian left with my Louisa, then let my gaze scan over my boys who were all still watching her. I could clearly see on each of their faces how taken they were with the girl and the guilt they were carrying about her being a target.

"Let takes this to the study" I tell them, getting up, knowing they would all follow. I was so proud of the men they were becoming but this was one time they needed my help. The two problems ahead of them would need a whole family approach. They just needed to agree to it and sometimes they could all take after their birth fathers and be stubborn hotheads.

"Pa?" Raven prompted after we had all sat in silence for a few minutes, none of them had been ready to start the discussion but their lack of patience had pushed them to start what would be a difficult conversation.

"There are two issues, the first is her family" I paused and took in their faces, I could already see their stubborn natures taking hold. "You will need to be very sure she is what you want, that this unconventional relationship is worth the questions you will face. I believe Her family is not afraid of scandal so as long they approve of you, and its what she wants you may survive, but get it wrong, hurt her in any way and I worry I will end up searching for your bodies"

"Pa!" Jett exclaimed and I laughed at his shocked expression.

"She is more connected than any one single person I know, that makes her both a target and an asset" I frown as I think to myself how under the radar she is. "Her family may squash this to keep her safe, she's obviously been kept a secret or I would have heard of her but, this" I wave my hand at them all, "This could expose her to much more than the current issues"

"I know Pa, but now we've met her I don't think any of us are willing to walk away without trying" Ash tells me and I nod again, accepting that.

"Do her family know, what you are trying to do with her?"

Raven nods " I told them today, they sent a message for me to meet them, I met with her father, uncle and two cousins" his eyes find mine before he continues "from her mothers side... one of them was coming to update us about St John tonight but" he pulled his phone out of his pocket and scrolled through, hitting a number before raising his eyes to me. "I think they should all come"

"I Agree" I confirm to him.

"Steele?" Leo answers, his voice echoing around the room.

"Leo, my parents have arrived and would like to extend an invitation for you to join us all for dinner" he tells him.

"And Viri?"

"And Viri" Raven confirms

"She knows about this invite?"

"Yes" Raven replies before adding "Leo... The invitation is for all of you"

"You sure about this?" Leo drawls and I can hear the humour in his voice.

"Yes of course i'm sure" Raven snaps out and waits. We can hear the murmur of indistinct voices in the background through the speaker.

"We accept, see you at 7" Leo responds before the line goes dead.

My gaze scans over them again and I note they don't look too worried about what's to come, I just hope it all goes well. "Okay then, Ash let you Ma know we will be expecting four more for dinner" I instruct, knowing he will be back after passing the message on.

"Now tell me about the issues you have had with Sigma Beta... Grey?"

The boys take turns in filling me in on all the interactions they have had since starting, I shake my head but remain silent, feeling my anger build that they had been treated that way. I too had been part of that frat when I had been here, along with all the boys fathers, and we had enjoyed our time, kept the brotherhood we had built together but it sounded like the current brotherhood was not the same place, and had totally different values.

They had all told me individual tales of being targeted by the frat, not blatantly but enough to know there was bad feeling from their side. I was glad now that I had not pushed the boys to join last year, even if back then I had been a little sad that they were passing the opportunity up. Now though, now it was time for me to step up, the boys having never joined had no power or influence, but I did. I just wish the boys had brought it to me sooner, then the current situation might have been avoided.

"Her room tonight was it them?"

"She doesn't think so, she thinks this is just jealous girls, when we left there were two of her families security team arriving to check it out... Leo was going to let us know later, he said he would deal with it all" Raven answers.

"Good Good" I nod to myself. Hoping she was right and it would keep her family occupied while I tried to sort out Sigma Beta.

"I understand why you kept quiet but you should have told me, I could have dealt with them for you" I raise my hand to silence their murmurings, "I will deal with them now, you focus on your studies and your girl" they all smiled at the last part.

"Pa, we were dealing with them, we ignored them, not giving them the opportunity to " I held up my hand to stop Jett's explanation.

"It should have stopped after the first term, this is more than that now and as a former brother I can and will deal with it, and now they have targeted an innocent because of her connection with you, that is so far outside of the charter that they risk losing this chapter completely"

"You'll close the house?" Ash asks surprised and I send him a quick smile.

"I will and so would any one of your fathers if they were still with us. Now I need to make some calls and you should go and see if they need any help in the kitchen"

I grin as they get up grumbling, I know they want to deal with everything but this is my job as their father now and I knew they would be eager to get back to their girl. This was one time when I was pushing them out by directing them to something they want more.

Raven however had loitered by the door after the others had left the room.

"Raven?"

"I want to say thank you" he tells me.

"For what?"

"For taking us in and making us a family to be proud of, I know Mum and Dad would have been proud too"

I move forward and pull him into a hug, his words meaning everything to me as I whisper to him "I love you, all of you" patting him on the back and sending him out of the room, knowing my own eyes were glazing with tears.

When we had lost their parents in the accident, the boys had given me strength to carry on, their fathers and been my closest friends and when they had married and settled down, finally producing children. Louisa and I had happily embraced the roll of god parent to everyone, not having been able to have any children of our own. We had been aunt and uncle to all of them regardless and spoilt them whenever we could. Following the accident Two had come to us directly and then eventually we had all four with us and our family had been complete.

We had encouraged the boys to both remember their parents as well as choose their own paths, supporting them as if they were our own. Now they were taking the next step together. My mind skipped back to a conversation Louisa and I had had before they left to come here, worried that their closeness would be damaged if they found partners who didn't gel together, I laughed to myself, they had potentially solved that problem in a way none of us would have considered before now.

The clock in the hallway struck the half hour and I realised I needed to make some calls before our guests arrived, I scrolled through my phone directory and took a deep breath...

"Jerry, its Grant, I'm calling in a favour..."
