Ash and Grey were already with me in the car when Raven text to say we needed to head to the library, I knew that meant Viri was with him, but also that something had happened. What?

His second message to come in the back way also ramped up the tension, was someone out there?

I felt relief when we finally opened the door and walked into the study room my brother had claimed last year as his space, the room was secure and house a collection of works donated from our family libraries and given that pops had funded most of this section of this library it was a safe as our house for her.

"What happened?" I asked stopping beside her and dropping to my haunches so I could see her face.

We all watched the myriad of emotions cross her face as she looked at me, then slid her gaze to Raven, I looked at him, waiting.

"Jamison asked her out" he tells us and I see him grin at Viri, as we all start talking at once.

"When?" "Bastard!"

"How?" "Did he touch you?" "I'll kill him!"

"Are you okay?" the words from us all jumbled together and she looked at us wide eyed as Raven chuckles.

"Wow, he really is a problem" she muses waving at the other chairs, "Sit and tell me what the hell is going on" she mutters and we all grin as she closes her books and looks at us.

We really shouldn't be smiling but this girl surprises us at every turn, she's perfect.

Raven pulls out the chair beside her and I watch as she unconsciously leans towards him as we all settle. "You said you did some digging and heard some things over the weekend, now there's something you need to tell me" she prompts Raven. She looks at us "Your brothers are here you said it affects us all, so tell me whats going on" she finishes and focusses on Raven again.

"First we need you to know, we are sorry. Sorry that our interest in getting to know you more is causing this, we never even thought this might happen" I butt in before he speaks and she nods, holding my gaze.

Raven explains what we heard on Friday night and what else we discovered over the weekend, I watched her face pale as he mentioned the betting pool Sigma Beta had going, she had asked for more details, what did it mean and had looked sick as Ash had explained it to her.

"And Jamison?" she has queried

"Last year Jamison's girlfriend came onto me at a party, I don't know she was with him, I had had a bit to drink and she was friendly" I blushed as I explained myself, "He caught us making out, punched me in the face and dragged her away. she told him I had seduced her, that she had said no" I paused. "When he accused me in front of everyone, I called the police, she was saying I was trying to rape her, he was backing her up. The Police came and eventually she came clean and other witnesses backed me up as well, He has hated me ever since, the girl left and moved to another college, another state. I didn't even think till his name was mentioned this weekend that he could be a threat"

"Are there any more?"

"More what?" Grey questioned.

"Do you all have anyone else out to get you that may target me?" she replied quietly.

Raven, reached for her hand and uncurled her tight fist gently. "There is no-one else that we are aware of but if we hear or find out, we will let you know"

"Viri, my offer still stands, be my girlfriend and you'll be protected" she raises a brow, looking at him silently "Not that we won't all protect you anyway" he rushes out "But it will make people stop talking, speculating. I know you want to focus on your studies so let's do this as friends. Be our friend Viri"

Her gaze searches our faces "You all agree with this?" she asks us and we all nod.

"Why Raven?" she asks holding my gaze and I grin at her, lifting my hand and indicating she look at him.

"Because he is a scary looking fucker and no-one wants to mess with him" he tells me with a laugh.

"And he doesn't party unless he absolutely has to but spends time in the library or studying, or growling at people, It has to be one of us, and believe me, we all volunteered but it is totally believable that he will keep you safe and we will protect you for him" Grey says looking at Viri. "And for us, if you're our friend, we look after our friends" he offers a smile.

"What happens if I say no?" she asks softly.

"We will still look after you, but I don't know how else to stop you being a target" Raven explains.

"I could leave" she mutters.

"No!" the words explodes out of me and she jumps gazing at me.

"Calm down I wasn't serious, my family would level the place if they thought I was having problems" she laughs and some of the tension in the room lifts.

"Damn, Damn Damn" she mutters, shaking her head, "Okay, god I cannot believe I am doing this... As friends lets do this"

"Great, let's all go to dinner and celebrate" Ash says jumping up.

"What no, I need to study!" she hisses but we all grin at her.

"We need to start the message circulating you are with Raven, this is the best way... Trust me" I tell her and she scowls a little before nodding her agreement.

Raven grins at me over her head as she shoves her books back into her bag but he takes it from her before she can swing it over her shoulder, his hand reaching out and capturing hers.

"We'll go out the back. Meet you at Bella's" I name the Italian restaurant on the edge of the campus that is always popular with students and faculty staff. Grey and Ash following me out and down the rear staircase.

"That went better than expected" Ash commented when we were in the car.

"Now we just need her to accept a phone, I wonder why she doesn't have one, if we add her to our plan, she won't have to pay anything for it" Grey added.

I muse as I drive, going over the conversations we just had, her comment about her family levelling the campus was interesting, I was glad she had family who cared and wondered what they were like.

Bella's was busy when we got there but we managed to get a window table and had just sat when Raven and Viri joined us. Her face was flushed as she rushed along at Raven's side, his arm around her, I looked around and noted interested students watching them approach us, some heads tucking down and they tapped away on their phones and I knew this news would be out before we had even looked at menus.

"Its working" I murmured looking around as Raven seats her and slides into the seat next to her.

"I don't have a clue what i'm doing" she admitted, sinking into the chair Raven pulled out for her, and blushing as he dropped a kiss on her head before sitting down at her side.

I glanced around again and noted the looks and murmurs had grown after his show of affection.

"Just go with it, but if we do something that makes you uncomfortable, tell us please" I say to her, catching her gaze across the table.

"I will" she replies with a smile.

The waitress appears at our side and I can see the speculation in her eyes, I know she's a student and will probable share or be asked about us. I see Viri look at her then around us all and watch as she schools her face and leans into Ravens side.

"Whats good here?" Viri asks looking at Raven for an answer.

I catch the grin on Ash's face as he observes them and looks at the waitress "Can you bring us some water for now, while we chose" I ask her politely and she nods before heading off. I watch her progression across the room, two other students stopping her on her way and I grin to myself again.

"What are you smiling about?" Viri asks softly looking at me.

"This is working better than I thought, the message will be everywhere by tomorrow" I tell her before adding "You will be safer then"

"I'm not completely hopeless" she tells me with a mock scowl and we all laugh, perfect timing as the waitress returns with our water.

"Do you like seafood, do you trust me?" Raven asks her softly and we all watch as she nods, grinning back at him.

"Frutti DI Mare for all of us" Raven orders and she looks at him surprised before asking about sides.

"And Garlic Bread, some Zucchini Frites and a salad for the table" I order and she writes it down before leaving.

I look at Raven "Is there a reason we are all eating the same thing?"

"No risk of anyone doing something petty this way" he replies and we all exchange wide eyed looks, never even considering that.

I grin and lean back, knowing we had a little while until the food arrived, "So Viri, tell us about yourself?" Ash prompts and she blushes red again and we all focus on her.
