《SINNER - Klaus Mikaelson》TWENTY EIGHT

The party was relatively uneventful, at least for Klaus and Adeline it was. Since she was pregnant, she couldn't drink so it wasn't as much fun as she would normally have at a party— but it felt nice to dress up and go out with Klaus.
When they got back to the compound Adeline was ready to crash and get some sleep. She was staring to feel some of the symptoms of pregnancy— exhaustion. She was tired two hours into being at the party.
"Niklaus— a word?" Elijah asked as they were headed up the stairs. Klaus stopped and looked at this brother with curious eyes.
"Adeline go on up, I'll be there soon." He urged and she listened, heading up the stairs. Any other time she might have stopped and forced them to tell her what was going on too but she was tired and didn't feel like it tonight. When Adeline made it upstairs and out of sight, Elijah spoke.
"I have news— something Rebekah and I heard tonight."
"Well get on with it then." Klaus huffed.
"Thierry informed Marcel of a rumor swirling through the witch community about a miracle pregnancy." Elijah started. Klaus's face went cold immediately. In order to protect Adeline from any harm they didn't want news of the pregnancy to get out— not yet.
"Those witches and there—"
"Brother that's not all I'm afraid." Elijah interrupted. "He said the witches are saying the baby is going to be powerful, probably the most powerful thing to step into this city. So, Marcel wants to find out who's pregnant and... handle it."
"Handle it?" Klaus scolded. "That's it. I'm going to kill Marcel and his whole gang of minions tonight."
Elijah reaches out and grabs his brother tightly, keeping him from storming away.
"You can't." Elijah huffed. "We have a deal with the witches."
"I don't give a damn about those bloody witches!" Klaus yelled.
"Neither do I but for now we must honor our side of the deal, at least while Adelines life is linked to one of theirs."
Klaus shook his head and began pacing in front of his brother. If it wasn't for those pesky witches and there linking spells, he would be out of this house and slaughtering all of them by now. He thought about doing it anyways, kill every single one but Sophie. Except, he couldn't be sure she wouldn't take her own life after and in turn take Adeline and his baby with her.
"What do you think we should do then? Huh?" He snapped. "Wait around like sitting ducks while Marcel and his henchmen hunt to find out who is pregnant with the magical baby?"
"I think we wait, but we watch. We keep our eyes and ears open." He urged. "No one will hurt her Niklaus."
Klaus like out a deep sigh, rubbing his fingers against his temples. He was frustrated and his hands were tied, there was nothing he could do for now and he hates that. Feeling helpless was not something Klaus took kindly too. He poured himself a large glass of bourbon and drained the cup of its contents before slamming it against the wall, letting it shatter.
"If anything happens to her Elijah— trust me when I say I will burn this city and everyone in it to the ground."
"I will help you." Elijah nodded.

Klaus turned to head up the stairs, he was angry but he wanted to check on Adeline.
"Wait—" Elijah called our catching his brothers attention. "Do you still want my help tomorrow, with what we talked about earlier?"
"Yes. I won't let Marcel detour any more of my plans." Klaus nodded.

Klaus walked into the bedroom where Adeline was slipping out of her dress. He walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist, looking over her shoulder he saw the diamond necklace he gave her dangling around her neck.
"I'm glad you still wore it, even with everything that happened." He smiled.
"I never took it off."
"Do you feel trapped her?" Klaus asked.
"What?" Adeline questioned, confusion was clear on her face.
"Because you are pregnant with my child, do you feel trapped?"
"Klaus— I love you." She assured him. "I would be here with you whether I was pregnant or not."
He smiled and placed a kiss on her neck.
"Do you feel trapped?" She questioned. Adeline had wondered the same thing. She knew she loved Klaus and sure, she was angry with him about Haley but she would have forgiven him, wether she was pregnant or not because she loved him and she knew that. Klaus and her had been like magnets since he came to mystic falls, they were drawn together no matter the cost.
"Adeline you are the only girl I have cared for in a thousand years, so believe me when I say I could never feel trapped."
It was typical of Klaus to be sweet, to say kind things but he did. His words made Adeline feel more secure, and more happy with this pregnancy. She turned to face him and there lips collided. Klaus pulled the dress down off her body, and picked her up off the ground. She wrapped her legs around his body as he walked them to the bed, they never broke the kiss.
Klaus took care of Adelines body— hitting every spot, kissing every inch. Being with him was like nothing she had ever experienced— sure he was the only man she had ever had sex with but she knew it wouldn't get any better than it was with him. He was all she wanted— and he wanted to be the only man that ever touched her in the way he did.
***
Adeline remembered falling asleep tangled between the sheets with Klaus but when she woke up he was gone. She got herself dressed and went downstairs where Rebekah was waiting for her with a large spread on the table of breakfast.
"Did you cook this?" Adeline teased.
"God— of course not. We hired a chef." She smiled. "You and the baby need nutrition— not just blood. Although I'm sure the little demon would like blood."
"First, don't call my baby a demon. Second, thank you." Adeline smiled.
Rebekah and Adeline sat down at the table and ate breakfast. She filled her plate with a pancake and some fruit.
"So— where is Klaus?" She questioned.
"Him and Elijah are out right now. It's going to be a girls day. I was thinking we could go shopping after you eat." She admitted.
"Okay.. but is every thing okay with them?"
"Yes everything is fine. You needn't worry about Klaus, ever. We both know he can take care of himself." Rebekah scoffed.

She was right. He couldn't be killed so there was really no reason to worry to much. Adeline couldn't help it though, she had lost so many people she loved it was hard not to think of the worst sometimes.
The two girls spent the day shopping—Rebekah bought bags full of clothes for the two girls. Adeline insisted she didn't but she told her that her brother insisted. When they were done shopping, Rebekah brought them to a hair salon. She said they needed blowouts and Adeline happily agreed. There was something about the feeling of people playing with her hair that relaxed her.
"You have to put on the new dress you got today." Rebekah insisted.
"What? Why?" Adeline questioned. "I have no where to go."
"We can go do something!" Rebekah smiled. "Girls day, remember?"
"Girls day turning in to girls night? Because it's now dark outside." Adeline laughed but as soon as the stylist was done with her hair she gave into Rebekahs demands and changed into the dress they had bought. It was light blue short dress that complimented her skin tone perfectly. Her hair was smooth and styled to perfection and she had to admit, she felt beautiful.
The two girls piled into the back of the town car that had be chauffeuring them around all day. Adeline didn't know where they were going but she didn't expect it to be just back to the compound.
"What happened to girls night?" Adeline laughed as they pulled into the home.
"I just need to grab something— come on." Rebekah insisted. Adeline went to head for the front door. "No! Around back."
"Okay..." Adeline chuckled. Confused but she still followed Rebekah around the side of the house headed for the backyard.
"You go ahead." Rebekah motioned for Adeline to walk into the back gate.
"Aren't you coming?"
"I'll be right behind you." She smiled.
Adeline shrugged and opened the back gate, stepping into the yard behind the house. Instantly her attention was caught by the twinkling string lights that were strung over head, all the way across the length of the yard. It made the backyard light up with a warm glow. Then she noticed her favorite flowers, white roses were everywhere, more than she could count. When she looked up, she saw him. Klaus was standing at the other side of the yard in a suit, looking more handsome then he ever had.
"Did you?" She questioned. "Did you do this?"
"I'm not the best at romantics love, I had some help." He smiled.
Adeline walked across the yard to him, until she was standing in front of him. She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him in for a hug.
"Thank you." She whispered into his ear. He pulled her away and held her hands in his.
"That's not all." He started. "I did all this so I could ask you something. You are the most important thing to me— I spent a thousand years on this earth so far and have never come across someone like you. I will go to the ends of the earth for you, I will kill for you, I would destroy full cities if it meant protecting you. And while I thought I would never do this, I decided it was the only way to show you how much I love you and to tie myself to you in ever possible way, forever."
The tears were rising in Adelines eyes, she had never had someone say such sweet things to her. And everything he was feeling, she felt to. She loved him with everything in her.
"So Adeline Andrews." He grabbed a tiny black box in his suit pocket and pulled it out, popping it open to reveal the extravagant and large diamond inside. "Marry me. Marry me because I could never live without you and I don't want to."
"Yes." She wept, tears rolling down her face as she held her hand out for him to slide the ring on to her finger.
Adeline Andrews was engaged to Klaus Mikaelson and it felt... perfect.
Elijah was watching and listening from a window in the top floor of the house— he had helped Klaus with the whole thing. He was happy for his brother, watching there smiling faces and kisses as she accepted his proposal, but still Elijah was jealous. Klaus was getting everything Elijah had dreamed of for himself.
Klaus swung her around in a hug and kissed her on the lips. He has never known this kind of happiness. He spent his whole life alone, seeking nothing but power. It turns out his brother was right all along, family is power, love is power.
The large back doors swung open, Elijah, Kol and Rebekah stood inside. Kol had been gone, traveling on his own until he got the call from Elijah that Klaus was proposing to Adeline. He couldn't believe it so he had to come see for himself. They had champagne glasses in there hands and smiles on there faces.
"Congratulations!" Elijah smiled and the couple walked toward him, Adeline could now see it wasn't just the three siblings. They had invited the quarter to celebrate, even Marcel who was staring at her with a champagne glass in hand. "This is your engagement party!"
"After one thousand years Klaus Mikaelson gets married." Marcel announces walking towards the couple. He hands Adeline a champagne glass and she knows better than to decline. She can't drink it, but she won't raise suspicion. "Well lets see the ring!"
Adeline holds her hand out and Marcel takes it into his, admiring the rock of a diamond.
"Wouldn't expect anything less from Klaus." He smiled. "You must really be something, a thousand years alone and then you come along." Adeline could sense the faux kindness in his voice. He was digging for information, trying to see what he could get them to say but Klaus intervened.
"Every king needs a queen." He smirked, eyeing down the vampire. Marcel laughed and nodded, agreeing with Klaus or at least pretending to.
The couple walked away from Marcel, wanting to get Adeline out of that situation. They went to greet more of the guests that had come to celebrate the engagement. Adeline looked around and noticed, she really knew no one where and found herself wishing her friends were here, but she didn't know how they would react to everything. They didn't like her dating Klaus, let alone marrying him.
Marcel stood back, watching with Thierry.
"Klaus Mikaelson getting married." He scoffed "I want you to find out everything you can about our bride to be."
"On it." Thierry nodded.
