TW: shouting, abu$e, slight gore
"BUTLER! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!" Shouted sir Billiam, "I HAVE BEEN CALLING YOU FOR AN HOUR."
"H-how many w-words sir?"
"3" Sir Billiam knew this wasn't enough words for Ranbutler to explain where he was or at least make an excuse but he didn't care.
Sir Billiam wanted to punish him, punishing Ranbutler gave him joy and any excuse he had he would take to be given the chance.
"I-I don't k-know," Ranbutler muttered timidly.
He knew no matter what he said he would end up in trouble, there was no getting out of it.
"I don't know," Sir Billiam said in a mimicking tone, "WHAT DO YOU DON'T KNOW!"
Ranbutler trembled at Sir Billiams raised voice.
"I'm s-sorry s-sir," he said nervously looking down at the ground.
"Show me," Sir Billiam ordered, "show me how sorry you are," he said with an evil grin.
Slowly Ranbutler lowered himself to the ground onto his knees and said again "I'm a-sorry sir."
Sir Billiam looked down at Ranbutler.
It wasn't new for Ranbutler to have to beg for his forgiveness, this actually happened quite a lot.
Sir Billiam lifted his walking stick and hit Ranbutler hard in the face with it.
Blood poured out of his open wound as Ranbutler cried out in pain.
He lifted his hand to his cheek to feel the cut and his hand instantly got covered in blood. He fell onto the ground, it wasn't a hard fall as he was already kneeling on the ground.
The punishment wasn't over though.
Sir Billiam lifted his big, black boot and hovers it over Ranbutler.
"Never do that again, you hear me?" Sir Billiam said coldly and dangerously.
Ranbutler whimpered in pain.
"DO YOU HEAR ME?!" Sir Billiam shouted.

"Y-yes sir, sorry sir," cried Ranbutler.
Sir Billiam brought his foot down hard onto him and Ranbutler screamed in pain.
Sir Billiam exited the room kicking Ranbutler in the stomach on his way out.
Ranbutler lay on the ground crying, blood was everywhere.
He could taste blood in his mouth, his nose was bleeding as well as the wound on his cheek and he could feel his eye starting to swell.
He was in so much pain.
Ranbutler just wanted to just lay there and die, he wanted to be free from the clutches of Sir Billiam.
He had been treated like this so many times, he had been hurt worse then this but all those other times he had no hope, he had no faith that he would one day escape but he did this time.
He had met someone.
Someone who can help him escape.
Someone who promised to help him escape.
Someone who actually, for once in Ranbutlers life, seemed to actually care about him.
A man called Technoblade who will hopefully be his saviour.
Ranbutler was still in pain but he couldn't lay there forever otherwise he will receive more pain.
He winced and a slowly stood up, the pain was unbearable.
He limped down the stairs to the kitchens to grab a cloth to clean up the blood on the floor before it dried.
It took Ranbutler 30 minutes to get all the blood off the floor and then he had to clean himself to wash off all the blood and tend to his wounds.
He was still in so much pain but this time he had hope, hope that one day he would be free.

Demons Don't Lie
Algier, average human and recent convict, has committed the gravest sin of all: demon slaying. His fate? To participate in the Culling, a battle-royale style tournament that’s televised live to the world, where all the worst criminals go to die. As with all tournaments, a prize is on the line. If Algier survives, he can have any wish granted by the Marquises, the new rulers of Earth following the demons’ invasion. However, there’s little hope for survival in a tournament designed to have demons do the work of the executioner, especially for a human. Demons are stronger, faster, wiser, and more talented than the average human, and, despite his crime, Algier is no demon hunter. Mentally defeated before the tournament even begins, Algier is torn between becoming another demon’s points and fighting on in his dead mother’s legacy. But should he choose to fight, there is one advantage that Algier has that can tip the odds in his favour: Demons don’t lie, but humans can. How to read this story Demons Don't Lie is written from the perspective of an unreliable (lying) narrator. There are many inconsistencies within the story which are placed there intentionally. It's up to the reader to decide what is the truth and what is the lie. Promotion Full quality cover image
