《PRINCESS ANARCHY | Dream SMP》10. So You're The One Everyone Talks About

"Am I missing anything? Please, someone tell me if I'm missing anything!"
Tubbo frantically shouts around the main festival area, that being the podium, its seats and the small stands nearby.
Nia stands by the seats. She stares at the eccentric podium made of blackstone bricks and magma blocks. But, really, that's nothing compared to the three seats at the front.
The two at the sides are simple, just seats made of blackstone for the obviously less important cabinet members.
But the middle seat is bordering a throne. Nia has seen some in her life, so she can dare say it looks like a throne.
Its construction is made of darkened gold, and its cushions are black and made of leather, but nothing could possibly beat the white, spiraling horns sprouting from its back.
A more terrifying version of the cute horns that Tubbo has. Though his are also quite easy to hide behind his fringe.
"Hi." A fox-like person approaches Nia, and she can only assume it's Fundy, when she sees him.
She smiles at him, her eyes flying over the fox. His hair is red, matching the fox ears on top of his head.
Nia can see Fundy's tail wagging in her presence, a chuckle leaving her lips, realizing that he found a way to let his tail free despite the black tuxedo.
"Hello," Nia says, a grin decorating her lips.
She knows that Sara isn't on good terms with Fundy, and neither is Wilbur or the other Pogtopians, but Stela has said he's actually nice. Nia believes her. Even good people can be led astray, especially with fake idealism and a little bit of manipulation.
That's why governments suck, anyway.
"I haven't seen you here before," Fundy shares before stretching out his hand to shake it with Nia. "I'm Fundy."
"I'm Nia," the princess smiles, shaking Fundy's hand. "It's nice to finally meet you, Fundy. I've heard quite a bit about you."
"Only good things, I hope."
"Ah, yes. Of course." She nods.
"I - uh - I'm helping construct a lot of the attractions for the festival, so I have to go, but I just wanted to introduce myself," says Fundy with a chuckle, scratching the back of his neck.

"Oh, then don't let me hold you!" Nia says, gesturing with her hands that it's okay if he leaves her alone.
"Alright." Fundy nods. "I just wanted to say that if you need someone to show you around - even if just the festival - then you can totally find me. I'd love to help!"
"Yes, sure," Nia smiles.
Fundy chuckles nervously. "Okay, um, bye!"
"Bye Fundy!"
"Oh, God, that dumbass is so awkward," comments someone from behind Nia. She turns around to face them.
Nia eyes a man older than her, at least that's what she thinks, her gaze going from his curly brown hair to the horns on his head - the ones that decorate the throne. She doesn't need to guess who it is, considering the looks he gets from other people, either.
J Schlatt wears a gray-ish tuxedo paired with a red tie. Not a bad outfit, and not a bad-looking man either.
"I disagree, Mr. President," says Nia with the sweetest smile she can muster. "I think he was sweet."
She's not looking for trouble at the moment, rather than being here simply to offer moral support to a panicking Tubbo and Sara, who's working on an attraction with a man named Ponk. Nia met him very briefly, so she at least knows his name.
"You're too hot for that, darling," Schlatt says, his eyes roaming over Nia's entire figure.
"For what? Thinking that someone is sweet?" Nia raises an eyebrow at the president.
"For thinking that furry is sweet."
"Schlatt, fuck sake, here you are!"
A shorter boy runs up to the president. He wears a black tuxedo and a blue tie with a matching blue beanie that has LAFD written on the front.
Nia realizes she's seen him before. It's Quackity. The boy who shouted at Tubbo the first time she met him. He's Schlatt's Vice President, if she remembers that correctly.
Right after Quackity comes another person in a tuxedo, however. One that Nia recognizes well. Except she's never seen him in a suit, to be fair. His tie is also blue, but the one thing that remains the same are his goggles that protect his eyes from the sun.

George.
He spots her, too. His head turns to her fast. She can imagine his eyes being wide as he stares at her through his goggles. His hand shoots up to take the glasses off in hopes of seeing better. He squints his eyes at the girl.
"Nia?" he asks, surprised to see her.
It seems that neither Sapnap or Dream have told him of her presence.
But it makes sense.
If George is in a tuxedo matching the other members of Manburg's cabinet, then he obviously is with the country, unlike Dream and Sapnap, who are residents of the Dream SMP. Besides, hasn't Dream mentioned that Schlatt doesn't like Dream?
What are the odds of George possibly being leverage that could be used against Dream whenever he oversteps?
"Hello, George," says Nia with a smile. "Long time no see."
"You disappeared without saying goodbye."
There's a bit of hostility in George's voice, though definitely less than when Nia first encountered Technoblade, and she's not talking about when he thought she's a Manburg citizen.
"Yeah, well, that wasn't exactly my fault . . ." Nia purses her lips, shrugging.
"What happened to your hair?" George inquires, approaching the princess. "Why is some of it white? Did you dye it?"
"I don't know," Nia replies honestly, shrugging. "I think it's stress-caused, but I really don't know."
"Well . . ." George examines the woman again and shrugs. "I guess it looks good," he says. "Have you seen Dream or Sapnap? I mean, do they know you're back? How come I didn't know?" he asks, ignoring the fact that he's in front of the President and his Vice President, both of whom are not fond of the two Dream SMP citizens.
"Nobody here knows me, George. How could they tell you I'm here if they've never met me and don't know that I know you," says Nia, rolling her eyes at the man, who puts his goggles back on.
"You're Dream's friend?" Schlatt questions, narrowing his eyes at Nia.
"I would hope so, yes," Nia replies, knowing that it will not put her in Schlatt's good book. Though it's not like she has to care, really. Because right now, Wilbur is in the sewers of Manburg, planting TNT that he'll detonate on the day of the festival.
All he will need is a button.
Schlatt nods, eyeing Nia, still. "I think I get it now," he says, making a step forward. "Nia, right?" The President waits for Nia to nod. "So, you're the one everyone talks about."
"Define everyone, because I only know Sara and Tubbo," says Nia. "At least from this country."
"I think Tubbo can be defined as everyone at the moment," Quackity says, stepping in. "Schlatt doesn't really spend time around Manburgians besides his cabinet," the boy shares.
Nia nods, finding that information interesting, and perhaps worthy of noting down. How unexpected. A leader who essentially doesn't care for his people. Fucking typical.
"You know, there's not many women in Manburg," comments Schlatt.
"I've noticed that, yeah." Nia nods. "I've heard you're also taxing them way more than the men, so I'm not even surprised there's almost none, and the only reason the others are staying is because they used to love this country."
Okay, perhaps Nia's starting to make problems, which is not exactly what she wanted but . . . why is it so hard to keep her mouth shut?
Schlatt smirks, almost like he enjoys the fact that Nia's trying to agitate him. And he won't even say anything back, considering the weapons she has on her.
"What brings you to Manburg, then, if not this terrific country?"
Nia shrugs. "I don't know," she says. "Might've been fate."
Then, in her peripheral vision, she registers a blur of familiar colors, turning her head in the direction of Tommy running around Manburg, trying to be sneaky. Nia can only guess he's looking for Wilbur to stop him from planting the TNT that will definitively destroy the country they've created together.
"Fucking hell!" Quackity exclaims, following Nia's gaze.
"Is that Tommy fucking Innit?!"
