Y/N's P.O.V.
Diego was kind of pissed at both me and Five for letting Hazel get away, but at the moment I couldn't care less.
A bad feeling swirled in my stomach and I just wanted to find Vanya.
Allison told us she has powers and I understood that she was probably just scared and confused. After having a conversation- Allison wrote down what happened and my heart broke for the smaller girl.
"H-Hello?"
"Vanya?" I asked in surprise as said girl let herself in. She looked lost and I immediately ran over and hugged her.
"Are you okay? I've been so worried, we all have."
"Y/N?" Vanya asked shakily and I broke the hug to look at her.
"I know what happened, it's alright. Allison is okay, you're safe." Tears filled her eyes and she hugged me, crying into my shoulder.
"I didn't mean to, it was an accident!" She cried as her whole body trembled. I ran my fingers through her hair in an attempt to calm her down. I felt tears build up in my own eyes.
"I was just so angry."
"I know, it's okay. I don't blame you, Allison doesn't either. I'm not going to let anything happen to you okay? You're safe." She broke the hug and I wiped away her tears.
"We can-"
"Vanya." Luther interrupted and we both looked up.
"What happened?" He asked in a soft tone. The bad feeling deepened.
Luther was too pissed to be this calm. It had to be some kind of trick.

"You know what happened." I said, moving in front of Vanya slightly.
"Her powers were out of control, Allison explained this already."
"Y/N, I'm talking to my sister." Luther said harshly and Vanya moved forward.
"It was an accident, I didn't mean to hurt her. I promise." Vanya said shakily.
"You have to believe me."
"I do." He whispered.
"Can I see her?" Vanya asked.
"She's resting." Luther said and I clenched my fists.
"Maybe later."
"Is it okay if I wait here?" Vanya asked and I wanted to pull her away from him. They were both different levels of unstable.
"Of course, this is your home." Luther opened his arms and Vanya ran to him. She didn't know any better, she was just so desperate for forgiveness.
She cried and sobbed into him and he kept a blank expression on his face. She repeated 'I'm sorry' like her life depended on it.
"I can see that, Vanya." It was subtle, but his grip was getting tighter. She tried to push away but he didn't let go.
"Luther Stop." I warned and he ignored me.
"You're... you're hurting me." Vanya choked and I began to panic.
"Luther!" I moved towards him and the whole house began to shake. I hit him and I screamed, but it was all for nothing. He pushed me, I fell.
Everything went black.
"No! No, no, no! Please!" My eyes opened, seeing Vanya pace around.
"No!" She yelled.
"Vanya- calm down." I said softly and she looked at me.
"Where are we?"
"I don't- Y/N we need to leave. I can't be here." She panicked, breathing heavily. I stood up, ignoring the pain in my head, as I grabbed her hands.

"Look at me." I said calmly, not liking the confined space we were in.
"I said I'd look after you, remember? I promised." She nodded her head.
"Vanya, it's okay. I'm here with you and I'm not going anywhere."
"We have to go." She whimpered and I looked at the small window.
"Someone will come, okay? Luther can't hide us here forever." She nodded her head and we sat down.
"Tell me, who do you trust? In this moment? Who do you think will save us?"
"You. I trust you." She said quietly and I gave her a small smile.
"And Five. Maybe Diego and Klaus." I nodded my head.
"So we wait for Diego, Klaus and Five to come and save us." I shrugged off my jacket and threw it over her shoulders.
"Get some rest, okay? I'm not going anywhere."
"Promise?" She asked and I nodded my head. She put her head on my shoulder and was out in minutes.
Diego's P.O.V.
I don't think I had ever been more pissed in my entire life. Looking through the glass one more time, I watched as Y/N ran her fingers through Vanya's hair as she slept in her lap. Y/N gave me a pleading look and I turned to Luther.
"You locked away my fiancée and our sister, because you think Vanya has powers?" I asked, noticing the horrified look on Klaus' face.
"No, I know she does. Pogo told me. Him and Dad knew all along." Luther said in a "I'm better than you" tone.
"Why didn't they tell us?" I asked.
"I mean, am I the only one who didn't know this place existed?"
"He hid so much from us." Klaus whispered.
"He his it because he was scared... of her."
Y/N's P.O.V.
Vanya stirred and sat up and I forced the biggest smile I could.
"Hey, V. How're you feeling?"
"We're still in here?" She asked and I sighed.
"Diego and Klaus are arguing with Luther just out there. I can't hear anything, but Diego is pissed and Klaus looks heartbroken." I walked over to the window as Diego stormed off, whereas Klaus looked at me and put his hand on the glass.
HELLO
"We're never getting out." Vanya paced and I walked over to her.
"We'll be here forever."
"No we won't be, okay?" I said and there was a quiet bang from outside. We both turned to look outside, seeing a very angry little Number Five. He was yelling so loud it was almost audible. Vanya banged on the glass and Diego, who was stood behind Five, gave us a small smile.
Soon enough Luther stormed out and the three guys all struggled to open the door.
"Vanya." Five embraced the crying girl, whereas Diego grabbed me and held me close. It was as if he was scared to lose me again.
"Y/N, what happened?"
"Diego was still unconscious and I was about to go out looking for Vanya, when she walked right in." I told them what happened and Klaus grabbed my hand.
"I'll kill him." Five threatened.
"Are either of you hurt?"
"A little sore." Vanya whispered, giving me a look.
"No one is killing anyone." Klaus said.
"We can help Vanya with her powers. We can sort this without even involving Luther. We can be better than him." Diego kissed my head softly and we all left.

Madness Led by the Hands
‘Great, no… splendid. It was for naught.’ ‘Naught? Depends. If your desire is to send an army of killers our family’s way, yes indeed. If it’s plain survival you seek, then no.’ ‘They don’t coexist?’ ‘What… don’t tell me you’re still all groggy from the fall. Perhaps in novels, but real life is much tougher–––many more times a drag than anyone can possibly imagine. If dusty history is not a reliable teacher for you, then the pandemic surely took that place. At least that one has the advantage you needn’t be literate to savvy how reality always trumps imagination.’ ‘Whatever you say, whatever you say. So… what now?’ ‘Now? Isn’t it obvious? Now we shall survive. And live a good life.’ ‘Ohh… pretty much everything here has something against this little weird wish of ours. Might you consider?’ ‘Then pretty much everything here is a goner.’ ‘Hm, I don’t like the sound of that. Too much trouble, you see. I’d prefer laying low somewhere safe.’ ‘…nobody told you it’s mutually exclusive, no–––or did you forget about that too?’ ‘Fine, then I wish my future enemies all the best.’ ‘They are undeserving of your pity.’ ‘Of course not. That unlucky bunch won’t ever comprehend the reason behind their demise. Just let me smoke in peace and offer my condolence in advance.’ ‘Idem, let me study alchemy, unobstructed by all, if possible. This also includes you. By the way, are you sure you smoke to offer condolences? It seems like an excuse to me.’ ‘I-it is none. Plain truth, you see?’ ‘Seriously, why did I even ask...?’
