One word: Kagekao
- - - (Y/N)'s p. o. v. - - -
"Dude. You're not supposed to be playing with that."
I watch with building irritation as Kagekao tosses around the key to Slender's lab back and forth with Former. I tried grabbing the key back a few times but the trickster was swift and constantly grabbed it back before I could get it. I happened to catch the key once in between their game, but Kagekao had the audacity to actually scratch me with his claws.
As I sit there holding my now bleeding hand, I watch the two seemingly mocking me now by continuing to toss my bosses key around like it was a toy. "Whatcha gonna do (Y/N)-sama? Are you gonna tellll on us? Like a little snitch-baby? Kekekekeke~" Kagekao snickered, pelting the key a little too hard this time.
The key fly past Former's head and low and behold, falls conveniently through a crack between the wall and floor of his room.
"You're both stupid," I sigh, getting up from Kage's bed and getting ready to go fetch the key myself. It would be best if Kagekao doesn't get his hands on it again because 1) he's most likely going to lose it 2) if he finds out what the key is for, he's 100% going to cause some sort of mischief. He doesn't know that that key leads to Slender's lab.
"(Y/N)-sama, we'll help you get it!" Kagekao exclaimed, jumping up with a smirk on the white side of his mask. "No you will not."
"Nande—Why not?"
"Because I told you you're not supposed to be playing with it countless times already! Why couldn't we have just watched anime like you said we were going to??"
"Can you blame me? Shiny things distract me!!"
I groan and facepalm. I really did try to grab the key when I first saw it on the floor in the middle of the hall near Jeff's room, but as I was with these two at the time, Kagekao jumped first and attacked the thing like a wild beast before I even had a chance to make a full move.
"Please just stop, both of you. That key isn't yours."
"Whose is it then~?"
"Think Kage, why would (Y/N), tell us.."
I ignore them both and walk out of the room, hoping I could find the spot where the key landed. I get downstairs and search the area that's beneath Kagekao's room; the dining room.
Unfortunately, the dining room is littered with toys—namely legos—that were scattered all over the place. A huge unnecessary mess that I find it hard to believe Sally would even make. There was a huge tub that was holding the toys that was knocked over on the table.
When I get closer, I see Surrenderman poke his head out from under the table and I glare at him in disbelief. "No way. you did all of this...?"
Surrenderman shook his head and hands frantically at me, "N-N-No! I-I—You don't understand!! I-I didn't mean to make this mess, I really didn't! I j-just got startled, that was all...ohhh I'm such a klutz...."
He then covered his head with his hands and shrunk back under the table in despair. I walk over and lower myself under the table so I could talk with him, "Startled by what? It's alright, you can tell me."
"Um...well...Smile Dog and Grinny Cat were f-fighting really badly and I was sitting at the table wh-when they started to got really close to me. I panicked when I saw the intensity of the fight a-and I accidentally jumped on the table out of fear...the crash of the legos scared them off..."

I shook my head at him with a small smile and pat his back, poor Surrendy. I was about to try talking to him to comfort him and help calm him down when I suddenly heard a loud screech come from beside the table.
"I GOT THEY KEY, FORMER-KUN!!"
"SHHHH!!!"
Me and Surrender immediately popped our heads out from under the table to see Kagekao and Former running away.
"Kagekao, Former, you little shits!! Get back here!" I yell, rolling out from under the table and running after them. "W-Wait what key??? Not my big brothers key right??? (Y/N)???" Surrender cried, quickly getting up and running after me.
- - - Kagekao's p. o. v. - - -
The chase is on!!
I look back seeing (Y/N)-sama and Surrender-kun running after me and Former and laugh loudly.
(Y/N)-sama will have to pry this key from my cold-dead claws!! Kekekkekeke!!!
I wonder what the big deal is about this stupid key anyways. Does it lead to a secret doorway in the mansion or something? I need to know!
Just as me and Former were about to speed up the stairs, we run into Jeffreak.
"MOVE RAT" I hiss at him, my scary face forming on my mask. "No you move you loud-ass pest. And why the fuck do you have Slender's lab key?? I'm the one that stole it first!"
Lab...key...?
Before I could say anything, (Y/N) and Surrender skid to a halt behind me. "Kagekao! Give me the key!" (Y/N) shouted at me, looking pissed off.
Former looked between Jeff who looked like he wanted the key back and the two behind us and then looked at me. "Former thinks we should probably hand it over. Jeff did say it's Slender's key after all."
"Are you kidding?" I retort, "the fact that this is Slender's key makes it even more valuable!!"
I then turn directly at SurrenderMan and get an idea. I form a very creepy, fucked up look on my face, staring him down.
"Suuuurrrendyyy-kunnnn....tell me what this key is for and where it's at....Humu humu..."
I see creases form on Surrender's faceless face, making him appear afraid, and his body begins shaking as he faces me. (Y/N) begins frantically shaking their head at him but the fragile slender breaks under my pressure anyway! "I-It's my older brother's key!!! I-I-It's for his lab, it's located at the end of the Slender Hall!"
Surrender-kun then lowered his head and hid his face, shaking as if he'd just stared death in the face. My mask goes back to normal, "Thanks Surrendy, you're a good friend!! Sayonaraaa!" I say before grabbing Former's hand and dashing for the Slender Hall.
- - - (Y/N)'s p. o. v. - - -
Honestly, couldn't blame Surrender because that was just a real dirty play from Kagekao.
I sigh and start patting his back to calm him down and slowly his shuttering ceases. Jeff comes up and punched me in the arm, "Stupid Walker, you let him run off with my key!"
"For starters, that isn't even your key. Secondly, instead of blame me, why not go after him??"
"Why should I go after him when you could do it? It's Slender's key, your boss, isn't it~?"
I don't want to beat up Jeff infront of Surrender because he's been shaken up enough today, so I only give him a dark glare before turning and walking off towards the Slender Hall.
"Wait!" I heard Surrender's weak voice and see him coming up behind me. "I-I-It's my fault Kagekao knows what the key is for...I'll help you t-try and get it back..."

"The more of us to stop him the better, I guess," I respond, and the two of head together into the hallway.
We walk up the the huge door at the end of the hall and I try the knob, but it's locked.
"Dammit. Kagekaoooooo!!!" I yell, knocking rapidly at the door.
"N-No stop, Slender's gonna hear and he's going to get very very mad..." Surrender whispered at me. "I h-have an idea..." The small slendy then timidly wrapped his arms around me and seconds later we were suddenly teleported on the other side of the door.
"Good thinking, Surrendy!" I exclaimed when he let me go; then I turn my attention to where I see Kagekao at the huge lab table throwing liquids and random shit together in a beaker while Former was pulling and reading through books on the bookshelf.
When the two spot me and Surrender, they both stop what they were doing and conveniently whatever Kagekao was working on blew up in his face. "Oro oro..." Kagekao squeaked, his mask turning bright pink.
"Kagekao you're insane. What the hell is wrong with you?" I growl at him, storming up to him. "Don't you know how much trouble you will be in if Slender finds out what you're doing?"
"That's the key word, (Y/N)-sama. If Slende-sama finds out!"
Surrender comes up beside me and for the first time I see his face creasing but it doesn't look like his usual worried expression; he seems genuinely upset. "Stop this, Kagekao! Y-You know my big brother doesn't like it when you do things like this, y-your going to make him upset with you again!"
He then held out his hand and growled, "Give me the key!"
Kagekao's mask formed a smirk. "Give you they key, aye? I'll give you...this!!!"
Kagekao snatches up a different beaker he had sitting at the side and flung the liquid at Surrender's 'face' without a second thought. Surrender screamed and fell backwards on the floor and I grabbed my head in a panic. "SURRENDER!!"
Surrender held his face in what looked to be like pain as he shook on the ground. "I'm going to kill you, Kagekao!" I sneer, getting ready to jump at Kage when Kage suddenly slaps his hand in my face, "(Y/N)-sama wait! Look!!!"
I throw his hand from my face and look back to Surrender and....
And....
and...
I....
Oh my god.
I stare at SurrenderMan in shock as he slowly removes his hands from his face.
Emphasis on .
We're met with the image of a young human male with long fluffy curly brown hair and pale blue eyes. His skin is no longer completely pale but is more pale ivory now. Freckles are spread across his nervous looking face. The boy stands up from the ground and wobbles helplessly on his feet—he looks shorter than he normally is now.
"Wh-what happened?? What did you d-do to me...?" Surrender shuttered, feeling his face in a panic. Hearing the words come from his actual mouth rather than through my head made my mouth drop open.
I wasn't the only one who was at a loss for words—both Kagekao and Former were completely baffled by the guy that stood before us.
"Kagekao!! Y-You...why do you hate me???" Surrender whimpered, now bringing his oversized sweater sleeves to his face. "You turned me ugly!!"
"No no no no no, Surrendy-kun...or should I say Steven-kun? No, Surrender-Steven...You look amazing...like an actual human!!" Kagekao exclaimed, reaching and removing Surrender's hands from his face. Kagekao looked mesmerized as he stared into Surrender's new face.
I was still standing off at the side, utterly shocked. "Kagekao...what exactly did you put in that beaker..." I stammer, my eyes still not leaving Surrender-Steven's new features. "Oh, literally just about anything Former read aloud from one of those spell books. Honestly we were going for a potion that would turn everyone into babies so we could take over the mansion but this...this is so much better!!!!! Surrendy-Steven is so adorable!!!"
Kagekao then jumped on and wrapped his arms tightly around Surrender and started making baby noises at him while Surrender huffed and pouted. "I'm not a baby Kagekao, stop it! I don't want your hugs, meanie!"
Former came up to me quietly and looked between Surrender-Steven and me and then scratched his head nervously, "Former wants to apologize on behalf of Kagekao—and Former's self. Former did not see this happening..."
I glare at Former and lightly smacked him over the head, "You were fully in on this too, don't try that on me."
Kagekao eventually hops off of Surrender and turns back to the table where the rest of his little 'project' still lay. "If all my hard work could turn Steven-kun into a human, just imagine what would happen to the other slenders if they got a taste of this!! Kekekekeke!!"
"No Kagekao, NO!" I grab at the trickster as he darts for the beaker, but once again I'm too slow for his swift movements and crash into the table instead.
"KEKEKEKEKEKEKE"
Kagekao snatched the beaker with the rest of the potion and plugged on a cover before running off. "Kage, stop!!!" Surrender-Steven cried, immediately running after him. His movements were still wonky though and me and Former quickly dashed over to his side and held up him on both sides before he fell. "I have a bad feeling about what Kagekao is going to do with that...h-he's going to make all my brothers ugly, like me!!"
Does Surrender think us humans are ugly or something?
"Don't worry Surrendy, we'll try and stop him," I try to assure him before helping him straighten up and then the three of us bolt out of the open door of the lab that Kagekao had left through.
We look and see Kagekao knocking rapidly at the door to SlenderMan's office.
"Kagekrap! Hand it over," I growl, approaching him with my arm outstretched. "No!" He screamed at me, knocking the door harder.
The door to Slender's office opens and I jump at Kagekao before he could make any movements, knocking him over. "Give it!" I scream at him in the tussle. "" Kagekao roared in a demonic voice, trying to fight me off.
The two of us roll into the office and I hear Slender's angered voice, "What the hell is going on!? Walker????"
I use all of my strength to pin Kagekao down and I look up, seeing Slender standing before me with his arms folded and his foot tapping. His other brothers and cousins were present in the room as well, a confused aura arising from them.
How convenient, looks like they were having a meeting...
"I apologize for this mess, Sir! I'm trying to stop this absolute menace to fucking society!" I gasp, trying to keep down a struggling Kagekao. Surrender-Steven and Former ran in behind me, Surrender panicking.
"Look what Kao did to me!! Slendy!!" Surrender cried, running up to Slender and hugging him tightly.
"What the fu—SURRENDER!?" SlenderMan blurted out in shock at the humane boy. The other slender relatives gasped and were immediately surrounding Surrender in seconds.
"Oh my..."
"My Surrendy child!!?! What happened to you!?!?"
"Oh Surrender...that hairstyle looks dashing with that new face of yours!"
"Don't worry, you look much handsomer now with a human body~"
"This doesn't mean we have to buy extra food now that he has a mouth, does it!?!?"
Surrender seemed frightened by all the attention he was getting and you could clearly see it on his face.
Meanwhile, Kagekao was still struggling beneath me. He then forced back his head, flipping his mask up his face and suddenly he reached forwards with all his might and BIT ME!!!
"What is I yelped, immediately letting go of him and grabbing my arm in pain.
Kagekao chuckled and jumped up from the ground facing the slenders. Before I could do anything to stop him, the truck eater uncapped the beaker and aimed the potion straight at the seven slenders.
And welp, I'm pretty sure you can take a huge guess at what happened next.
—
"No no no no no...what...did ...you...Do!?"
I stare with wide eyes at the unfathomable standing before me. Kagekao's mocking laughter was only a ringing sound in my ears as I stare at the slender bros standing before me; now all in human forms just like SurrenderSteven.
| bare with me, you guys already know i can't do decent descriptions. if you've ever seen the image of the slender's as humans you could just image that |
Slender—the one and only SlenderMan was now about as tall as the average human male. He has on his same suit but his skin changed to the color that SurrenderSteven had and he now had neatly slicked back pitch-black hair that reached his shoulders. He had red eyes and a constant calm slightly pissed expression on his face. | literally think sebastian from black butler, ig |
Splendor seemed to be the tallest still, but still shorter than his usual height. Beneath his top hat was now messy auburn hair and his eyes were bright blue. | ok uh think a cool anime version of mad hatter except less insane looking...? |
Trender was as tall as Slender and now had straight brown hair to the back of his neck and behind his glasses were now light blue eyes. | im thinking freakin aizen from bleach wtf |
Offender too was as tall as Slender and under his hat he has long gray and black hair that fall over his shoulders and his eyes are a dull green. | honestly don't know what this guy looks like. Grell? |
Spender was a little shorter than Splendor but taller than the other slenders. He now had long blonde kinda spiky hair under his top hat and his eyes were pale green. | these are getting bad, huh? think dio brando from JoJo except lanky like the other slendos |
Finally, Tender was a bit similar in feature to Slender except his hair was uh different and his eyes were like a pale grey and he was veeery slightly shorter than Slender. | so think claude from black butler. he looks like seb, kinda, except different |
The only sound in the room was Kagekao's laughing.
"KEKEKE—no wait, even my normal laugh isn't enough to express how hilarious this is....BWHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!"
Human Slender reached over and smacked the shit out of Kagekao with his hand.
It was then, I noticed the unbelievable.
"NOooooo!!!" I screamed, falling to my knees dramatically. "SlenderSebastian! Your spaghetti ramen noodles—they're gone!!!!!" I cry, referring to his tendrils which were no longer on his body.
"You're all acting ridiculous!" Slender yelled with an actual voice now. "Kagekao, return us to our normal forms this instant!!"
Human Splendor gasped and ran over to me with a worried expression, "Oh no (Y/N)-y, are you okay??? Don't cry, I'll cheer you up!!"
Splendor then reaches and tried to pick me up but he seemed to be struggling unlike usual. Normally, he could pick anyone up without any problems but now, in his human form, things were different.
I only watched him, stuck between amusement and discomfort as this human version of Splendor tried countless times before heaving me up in his arms and hugging me tightly. "Poor little (Y/N)-y, don't cry. ):"
"Splendor, put my grown proxy down."
Once Splendor puts me down, I hear loud growling coming from Human Spender. "Just grand! Now, I have to spend even more money for extra things that humans need because you fools decided to grow a face!!" He scowled, reaching into his coat pockets. He then started panicking and ran his hands all over himself, "WHERES MY MONEY!?!? DID THAT POTION DELETE MY CASH!!???"
"Calm down Spender," Human Offender sighed, "Kagekao has given us the opportunity of a lifetime to look like smexy humans and you're worried about money? There are more important things to worry about, such as..." His gaze turns to me and he smirks, placing a rose between his teeth "how does The Walker like me now~?"
"No, there's even more important things than that!! Do my clothes clash badly with my new hair or is it fine?? I should change right away, shouldn't I? I'd probably look fine in a warm brown color...." Human Trender panicked, as he pulled a mirror out of his pocket and started touching his hair frantically.
Human Tender stood by silently, looking completely uncomfortable and upset by the situation, but he kept his composure and occasionally glanced at Slender as if waiting for instruction to do something.
