HEY! I UPDATED.

A/N: So, in this chapter and the next, your questions will be answered. You will fully understand why Kira is still with him after everything that transpired. Patience is the key.

TRIGGER WARNING.

(FLASHBACK)

Kira nervously vacuum-cleaned Jayden's room as he sat upright on his bed, reading a book his therapist had given him. 'Advice from a Child Abuse Survivor.'

He was 16, and she was a year and a half older, but it looked as if they had switched ages because he was bigger than her. Moreover, she was a petite female.

Kira mentally tried to calm herself as she vacuumed his room. When he had turned 16 two months ago, he had forced himself on her. And then he had apologized days after. He had begged her not to speak of it to his parents and had sealed her lips against her will, whilst promising to take therapy seriously.

Two months of constant therapy now after the incident. He was serious. He wanted to be better. Wanted to change. His therapist, Dr. Linda, had noticed an improvement in the boy's mental health, and recommended books, which he started to read.

Now as Kira continued to vacuum-clean his room, she noticed that things had gotten better, things were going well for him.

Well, they were, until he looked up from his book.

Jayden fixed his eyes on Kira as she vacuum-cleaned, her back towards him. His eyes trailed down to her legs, slender, beautiful, sexy.

He immediately shifted his gaze back to his book, re-reading the line he was stuck on, 'Don't be that person' 'Don't be that person'.

Jayden didn't know how but his eyes found Kira's legs again. How she moved, how they opened as she took a step forward to cover more ground, and another step, opened wider.

His eyes shifted back to his book as his heart began to pound in his chest, and he began to harden in his black slim jeans.

He fixed his eyes on his book, trying to read, but it wasn't words he was seeing. It was Kira's legs. Even the book betrayed him.

He looked at Kira who was now turning to her left side, making her beautiful face visible to him. She continued to vacuum-clean, when he mentioned her name,

"Kira."

She looked up immediately, her nervousness betraying her too.

She noticed the therapist's book in his hands, but oddly there was a pillow covering his groin.

"Can you get out, please?"

Kira didn't need Jayden to repeat his words for her to know what had been going on. Oh no.

She briskly walked towards the door, unconsciously leaving the vacuum-cleaner on, but the minute her hand covered the door knob, his covered hers from behind.

She tried to open it nonetheless but he swiftly locked it and turned her around.

She yelped, "Think about your therapy! Your progress! Don't let it be for waste, please!"

"I. want. you." His gaze pierced into her eyes as he pressed her into the door.

"Jay, you have therapy in an hour!"

"An hour's fine." He tried to kiss her lips but she threw her face to the left, making him land his lips on her cheek.

"Jay, please! Don't fall back! You've come too far! Your therapist gave you an assignment to submit today. Don't do this!"

All her words seemed to have fallen on his deaf ear because he had lifted her over his shoulder, marched towards the bed and dropped her on it.

"If you stop wiggling and fretting, maybe you'd enjoy it." He calmly said, "Maybe it won't be so bad. Maybe you'd enjoy it, and it wouldn't have to be this way. Enjoy it with me."

And that was when she knew he could never be saved. This was who he had become. Florence had gotten her way with this boy's life.

PRESENT DAY

"You ruined me. I ruined her."

Florence leaned in on the table, "So if you raped this poor girl, why she over here acting like your damn therapist? It looks to me like she's the one who needs therapy."

"Kira is a gem. You will never understand this sacrifice. And I don't intend to explain it to you. Why she's still here. Now enough." He said immediately, which made her shudder,

"I want to ask you something, woman. If someone did what you did to me, to your son or daughter, how would you feel?"

Florence froze for a long while. The look in Jayden's eyes was one she had never seen before.

"I asked you a damn question!"

The suddeness of the sound of his voice made her jump in her chair. The Jayden she knew was a crybaby. He couldn't handle her. He was afraid of her, and tried to run away from her.

But this Jayden was different. Physically, very much, but mentally too. He was angry. He was confronting her and he sure as hell was getting under her skin.

The old Jayden needed someone like this to defend him. And since there was no one at the time, he grew up into the defender he needed. And this Jayden was seeking justice for his younger self. His younger self would be proud.

Florence cleared her throat and sat up, "Look, Jayden, I don't have solid answers for you. I can't answer your questions."

"Oh you will." Jayden got up from his seat and pulled Florence up from hers by her shirt, causing her to widen her eyes in shock.

She tried to balance her floating self by firmly placing her palms on the table she was hovering over.

"Jayden! You're not allowed to-"

"WHAT DID YOU GAIN? Huh? What did you gain from abusing me?"

She gulped. "Put me down please."

"Wrong answer." He brought her down so her body collided with the hard surface of the metallic table, making her yelp in pain.

"Jayden my son-"

He grabbed her hair and forced her head up, "What DID you gain?"

She reluctantly stared at his face and wanted to recommend that he have a frowning competition with Kanye West. He would win.

"I gained satisfaction." She answered.

Jayden stared at the woman who abused him for years, his blue eyes darkening at her answer.

He asked, "Satisfaction? Satisfaction from sexually abusing a kid? Why? How? Tell me, dammit!"

Florence winced, her neck aching from his grip on her hair. "You don't want to know. You won't be able to handle it."

"I endured you. Try me."

"I'm serious, Jayden boy."

"And I'm dancing in a sundress with Oprah. Do I look like I'm playing with you?!" He tightened his grip, causing her to groan in pain.

"Boy, I didn't know you liked it kinky."

"What the fuck is wrong with you? Is this all some kinda joke to you! I really cannot believe this."

She managed to escape his grip and coughed loudly whilst rubbing her hair as she kneeled on the table.

Then she looked at Jayden who was looking right back,

"What the hell is your problem?" She yelled.

"My problem is you! The hell you put me through. For the last time, Aunt Florence, why did you do it?"

Florence's face turned grim and she squinted her eyes in anger, before saying,

"Why don't you ask your mother?"

Jayden paused, confusion evident on his handsome face. What did his mother have to do with this? She knew nothing of this.

"My mother? Why?"

Florence slowly got down from the table and brushed her hands on her prison uniform. "Don't ask me any more questions."

"But I'm not done asking."

"I am DONE talking." She stated firmly and turned towards the door, but he gripped her arm before she was able to take a step, and turned her to face him.

"What is your problem?!"

"Don't you even feel the least bit remorseful? How can you be so indifferent? Haven't you realized your wrong?"

She pulled her arm away from him and scorned, "Your family already ruined my life! They put me behind bars! They destroyed me! So if what you want is to see me suffer, you got it! I'm paying for what I did. If you want to see me suffer, or get stressed out, you're looking at me right now. If you want an explanation-"

"I just want an apology!" He stated.

Silence filled the atmosphere for a generous amount of time, before he added, "I just want to hear you say you're sorry for what you did to me."

She stared at him, completely dumbfounded. "An apology?"

He replied, "That's all I want."

Florence stood there, unable to comprehend why of all the things he could have asked for, he asked for an apology.

Her brows eased back into place as she asked once more, "You just want an apology?"

"Yes."

She held his gaze, and for the first time, in what seemed like forever, Florence obtained a pang of pity.

She began, "I'm really sorry," She hesitated before continuing, "For what I did to you. For the pain and trauma you went through. For everything you went through because of me."

Silence.

"Are you saying it because I told you to or-?"

"I mean it."

He shoved his hands into the pockets of his khaki shorts, and told her, "If so, then thank you. I hope this helps me close the chapter on this story, for good."

He looked at her one last time, before moving to walk out of the room.

Florence stared at him, in shock. The man the little boy had grown into. The pain evident in his heart. And she wondered, so that's it? Why just an apology? It doesn't change anything.

"Jayden," she called when his hand made contact with the rusty doorknob, and he turned.

She asked, "Why just an apology? It doesn't change the past." She shrugged.

Jayden voiced out, "True, but it'll make me find peace with it. With you. And I need to move on."

She fell silent and looked away. His eyes were filled with so much emotion to look back into them.

She hesitated, gulped and raised her head before asking, "Son, can I give you a hug?"

Jayden definitely wasn't expecting that.

"Um..."

He couldn't answer, but she was already striding towards him. She wrapped her arms around his upper arms and spoke,

"I am really sorry for the hell you went through. I know you did not deserve it. YOU did not." She stressed on the 'YOU', but Jayden was too overwhelmed by the hug and the sudden change in her behaviour that he didn't find the space to ask her if she meant someone else deserved it.

"I hope you'll forgive me one day." Florence continued and Jayden stiffened.

Aunt Florence was asking for forgiveness? Never in a million years would he have imagined this would happen.

If he told his younger self that when he grew up, Aunt Florence would ask him for forgiveness, his younger self would have told him that it only meant that pigs were flying in that time frame.

Jayden didn't know if he should hug her back, but for the first time, he felt less uncomfortable with her touch.

He slowly hugged her back and finally felt it. Freedom. He was making peace with his abuser.

"I forgive you."

"Jayden, are you okay?" Kira held his arm the minute he walked out of the room, "You didn't press the red button. Does it mean everything went well?"

Jayden watched as the two police guards cuffed Florence's wrists and sent her away. But she looked back before she was out of sight, and smiled apologetically. Jayden nodded.

Kira noticed the exchange and her jaw dropped. She turned to Jayden whose eyes were fixed on where Florence had disappeared into. Then he turned to Kira who couldn't contain her surprise.

"Jayden, what just h-"

She was cut off by his sudden embrace. His chest was warm and cozy and his arms around her made her feel all the emotions he was feeling.

"Thank you," he said.

Kira smiled against his chest and wrapped her arms around his upper back, "Don't, Jay. You did it all on your own. I'm just so proud of you. It's finally over."

Jayden felt it. What Kira had told him earlier. He now felt the difference between a victim and a survivor. He was no more a victim of child abuse. He was a survivor.

Jayden and Kira signed out of the prison, but before he did that, he walked back into the visiting room in hopes of finding the girl with her lawyer.

He was glad when he found them sitting there, as if they had been waiting for him to come back.

"My friend!" Parker exclaimed when Jayden walked up to their table.

Her lawyer turned to Jayden and immediately handed him a business card, "If you need my services, at any time, I'm available. If you need that woman's sentence be tripled, I'm the man for it."

Parker eyed her lawyer, who was trying to land a great deal right in front of her, then looked at Jayden, who smiled and received the card.

"Are you okay?" she asked with concern, "Dude, I am so sorry for my inconsiderate ass. I had no idea you were that kid."

"It's okay."

"I wish I was free." She whined, "Hurry and get me out of here you dimwit." She scowled at her lawyer and turned to Jayden, "As soon as he gets my ass out, imma look for you. Don't forget me."

Jayden laughed, "I won't."

"What's my name?"

"Parker." He smiled.

She smirked, "And who am I?"

Jayden smiled in confusion, "You're my friend?"

"Wrong!" She yelled, "I'm your only friend from jail. Parker."

Jayden laughed out loud, and she laughed as well. Kira giggled with her hand over her mouth, and Parker's lawyer was only hoping Jayden would take his offer seriously because it would be an easy case for him, he realised, and a hell lot of money would come out of it.

After all, Jayden was the rich kid Florence had fucked up.
