DO YOU HAVE YOUR SEAT BELTS ON?? You're gonna need em for this chapter, fr.
The hand lingered on his frozen shoulder, his shoulder that would probably stay frozen for the next couple of days.
The prison guard who wore an incredulous frown on her tired looking face pointed to the empty metallic chair against the wall.
Jayden felt the weight on his shoulder no more, but immediately clenched his jaw when the hand raked itself through his dark tousled hair, disheveling it.
"Sit!" The prison guard ordered the prisoner behind Jayden, and Jayden's chest tightened.
He was going to see her.
The thick, tall woman in an orange shirt and matching pants walked past Jayden, brushing his frozen shoulder.
She slammed her hands on the table, keeping Jayden on full alert, as she slumped herself in her seat, exhaling.
The prison guard scowled, "Keeping my eyes on you, Burner. Don't try anything funny."
In a couple of seconds, the guard walked away. Jayden was finally face to face with the wrecker of his childhood.
She had hazel eyes which looked a little bit sunken, a heart shaped face with light brown shoulder-length hair cascading over her shoulders, a straight nose that appeared to be red.
Someone broke her nose?
And her lips were thin, and uncurved.
She crossed her leg over the other and relaxed in her chair, opening her mouth to speak,
"When I heard a coupla days ago that you were coming to see me, I knew that miracles do happen."
That voice. It hadn't changed in the slightest bit.
Jayden observed the woman as she spoke. He listened as she spoke. Listened to her choice of words and tonation.
The white girl with the tattoos and orange hair sitting beside them also eavesdropped. No way on earth was she missing this.
Florence took the time to observe the man Jayden had grown into. The last time she saw him, he was merely 12. Now, according to the years apart, he was 21, heading to 22.
His dark hair was disheveled because of her hand-raking, but he didn't move an inch to try to make it look less messy. His dark perfect brows slightly pushed together with his dark blue eyes resting on her face, and his light stubble was perfectly kept.
His hands were crossed over his soft wine shirt that concealed all the muscles rippling beneath.
"What. a. god." Florence emphasised on each word, her eyes roaming his body, wishing the table didn't have to block more of the good stuff.

Fuck you. Jayden wanted to say, but remained silent.
It wasn't the right time, or the right words.
Before Florence continued, she turned to the white girl, enabling Jayden to catch a side view of her face which had a little scar in front of her small ear.
"I hope you didn't trouble my visitor." She told the girl who whipped her head to see Florence's hazel eyes on her, "This one's special."
The girl's mouth curved into a nervous smile, "Of course not!"
"Good. I know your cell, Parker."
"Of course!" Parker nervously laughed and turned to her lawyer, mouthing, 'Get me out of here'.
Florence leaned forward, placing her darkened elbows on the mettalic table while resting her head on her fists, her voice taking on a refreshed and louder tone, "So what brings you here? Boy missing his momma?"
Jayden remained calm. Well, he tried to, with at least EVERY fibre of muscle in his body. This woman was unapologetic. She wasn't remorseful in the least bit, and she had a mocking grin on her face.
He opened his mouth to speak.
"Why did you do it, Aunt Florence?"
The minute he asked, the woman bursted out in what sounded like ducks quacking. She couldn't control her laughter, and it made Jayden's heart race with fury.
"BOY! 'Aunt Florence'? Are we in the 1860s?" She laughed again, throwing her head back as Jayden sat there and watched her mock him. She loved to do that.
She wiped a tear from her left eye and smirked at him, "But damn, Jayden, boy, which girl do you talk sweet nothings to? That voice could get a girl wetting herself through a phone sex only. So manly, I dig this new you-"
"WHY DID YOU DO IT," he repeated, not ready to tolerate anyvmore of her bullshit.
He had done so for several years already.
"Jayden, you came all the way here just to ask me that stupid question? Why did I do it? I wanted to. What are you fucking going to do about that?"
Jayden's chest wrenched in pain. She just did. not. care.
"I was only 7... Do you have any idea of what you did to me?"
"I know that I saved you from the boring ass sex education your teacher would have given you. I let you experience it."
Jayden wanted to punch the soul out of this woman. He wanted to cause her so much pain so she would understand what he went through.
Parker and her lawyer were dumbfounded. Parker's eyes never left Jayden. It all made sense now.

He was the rich kid Burner had fucked up. The rich kid the entire jail had heard of. Damn. This was going to be messy.
"You destroyed me." Jayden's voice sounded angry and sad at the same time, "Murdered my childhood. My innocence. I had to see so many doctors, psychiatrists, sex therapists. What kind of child goes through that?!"
Florence scowled, and crossed her arms beneath her heavy looking boobs. "Sucks to be you, I guess."
Jayden was this close to getting physical. He wouldn't care that they were surrounded by other prisoners, other visitors, and prison guards. The woman clearly, had not learnt her lesson.
"I need to know why you did it." He had to be calm and control his anger. Kira wouldn't want him ruining his chances of getting closure.
And speaking of the devil, Kira walked up to their table with a prison guard in front of her, and another beside her.
She held Jayden's arm, and he looked up at her.
Florence's eyes hit Kira as well and they widened. "Now isn't this the bitch that brought my ass to jail?!"
"You're right." Kira said, "That was too nice of me. Next time I'll be sure to put you 6 feet under."
"Why you-" Florence began, but Kira didn't give her a chance to speak,
"Jay, I was able to get you a private room for this conversation. It will be fully protected. These two guards will be at the door till you're finished, and there will be a red button on the table. You need to press it if you don't feel safe."
Parker and her lawyer eavesdropped on the whole show, as well as other people. The attention had shifted to Florence and Jayden.
Kira observed Jayden. She was worried. What if everything went wrong? What if this only made things worse? It would be her fault.
Parker was quite sad Jayden had to go. For the few minutes she had spent talking to him, he seemed like an interesting fella, and she didn't even get the opportunity to say sorry about his past.
That was probably their first, and going to be their last encounter.
Jayden walked into the four-walled small room and took a seat in the chair that would enable him to see the door, with Florence sitting in the chair opposite his, a large rectangular table with a red button on it separating them.
Kira closed the door and left them alone.
"Are you screwing that bitch?" Was the first thing that rolled off of Florence's tongue.
The nerve.
She continued, "I'm pretty sure you jumped on her ass the minute she came into the picture."
"Why did you do it, Aunt Florence?" Third time asking, and counting.
"Did you fuck her?"
"Why did you do it, Aunt Florence?"
"Looking at things and the way she's kept herself by you I'm pretty sure you-"
"Oh, you really want to know what happened with her, don't you!" He cut her in frustration,
"You want to know how I made her life a living hell by throwing my unstable self on her pour soul all because of what you did to me. She had to put up with my stupid shit because she was the one after you. After you, you pedophile. She put up with my shit."
"My boy cusses! How nice!" She began to applaud very loudly.
"You're evil, do you hear me? How can you be so excited about ruining people's lives? Where the hell are you from?"
"As far as I'm concerned, that bitch ruined MY life. So back the f up, son." She frowned, "If anyone was happy that day, it was her, Kira. She was given the job with three times the pay they gave me, and that pay was good. She wanted to fill in my spot, but she was on the highest tier in that house."
"She was never happy. Never."
Florence inquired, "Who wouldn't be happy with all that money for a simple job? It's like paying someone to do something they would love to do for free. Of course, she was happy."
"My 14 year old self made her unhappy. I behaved inappropriately with her. All because I couldn't control myself. Everything you did to me. You have no idea. Aunt Florence," His eyes fixed on hers, "I took her wrongly on my 16th birthday."
Florence wanted to mask her shock, but she couldn't. Her medium-sized eyes almost fell out of their sockets.
But she managed to switch emotions with a smirk, "Oh, she experienced the D-"
"Are you mad!" Jayden demanded, his blue eyes darkening.
"Well I'm pretty sure she lowkey wanted it." Florence winked, crossing her leg over the other.
"You're disgusting. I did that to her. Looking at her clean my room in that uniform really turned me on when it shouldn't have. YOU messed me up."
