"Ling Ai! Wake up! You're going to be late for your class!" Mr. Bai who is downstairs preparing breakfast scream on top of his lung.
"Coming!" She replied groggily. She let out a yawn and lazily get up from her bed then went for bath.
Bai Ling Ai is a very stubborn girl who loves idol and actors so much that she spend most of her times attending concerts and fanmeetings. Everyone in the town knows well how much Mr. Bai loves his daughter that he spends fortune for her.
However, that was all before an accident happened to Bai Ling Ai due to her coming home late after attending a fanmeeting. Now her father has becoming more stern and protective.
After the accident, she did not wake up for nearly a month. Her dad was worried sick. And it has been three weeks since she first open her eyes.
And she is back to her normal life. A normal college girl and a fangirl. Everyone in the small town celebrating when she first woke up because her father has been visiting the temple without missing a day.
"Bai Ling.." Mr. Bai was about to shout again when a sound of footsteps coming down cut him off.
"I'm awake!" Bai Ling Ai went down with a bag of laptop and some books.
Mr. Bai serves on the table a bowl of noodles some youtiao and a cup of tea for breakfast. He wanted to make sure his daughter is full.
"Gonna come home a bit late. I need to finish an assignment by today." Bai Ling Ai mumble while munching her food.

Hearing him nag, leave her only to nod. Quickly finishing her food, she went to wash her dish and pick her bag to leave.
"Love you dad." She hug him and leave while waving her hand.
Staring at his daughter, he could only sigh. She might look like usual but Mr. Bai knew something is wrong.
Mr. Bai had seen her crying silently in her room. She never tells him anything. She loves to keep it to herself. So he took the initiative to cheer her up.
Sometimes they went to cinemas together. And sometimes, she wanted to go out alone and he allowed her. He do not wish to stop her from being a fangirl.
And whenever he asked his daughter if she had a boyfriend, she became very gloomy. That's why he never asked again. Mr. Bai thought that Bai Ling Ai probably just broke up with her boyfriend.
"Morning uncle." Bai Ling Ai greets the bus's driver as soon as she hop on the bus.
The driver greets her back and she proceed to take a seat at the back. Her favourite spot is near the window. Her mind wandering around.
Looking outside the window, she observe everything that is happening in front of her. A group of people wearing hanfu which chinese traditional clothing attract her.
She took out her earphone and put it inside her both of her ears. Turning on her favourite ballad songs.
Arrived in front of her college, she was approach by her classmates.
"Bai Ling Ai, you want to grab a drink later?" One of her guy friend invite to go along with them.
"Thanks but I have things to settle." She politely refuse with a sincere smile. Bai Ling Ai became someone who is a bit distant.

The truth is she is trying to adapt the reality. No one knows how much pain she had to endure. To pretend that everything that she went through in the ancient world never happen. A dream. A lie.
The smile that she has been putting on was just for show Her soul is hurting. She couldn't put behind what has happen. She refuse to believe that it was all a dream.
She try to forget all of it. But the happy memories held onto her. She couldn't forget about him. Him. She wish that the god should have let her forget rather than tormenting her.
Attending Xiao Zhan's fanmeeting wasn't as happy as she is before. Watching Xiao Zhan made her remember Li Zhi Ming. And her mind will automatically thought of Him.
"Why is everything so heavy?" Bai Ling Ai couldn't help but let out a sigh.
After class, she headed out of the university to wait for her father. Ten minutes of waiting she couldn't see a glimpse of her father's car. Suddenly, her phone ringing loudly.
"Dad, where are you?" She asked. Bai Ling Ai could hear the car sound.
"Darling, I'm so sorry. I got something going on at my office. Is it okay if you go home by bus?" Her dad sounded very worried but he really couldn't pick her up.
"Sure. See you at home then." She replied. Actually she don't mind taking a bus. Because she loves watching the scenery. Somehow it ease her mind.
Bai Ling Ai then walk by herself along the street. She even stop by the street to get some snacks. Looking at a group of cats meowing, she smiles. It has been a while since she feel so much freedom.
While walking, she pay no heed at the people that she accidentally bumped into them. She fell down with her things scattered on the ground.
"Miss watch where you're going!" The random stranger scold her. Bai Ling Ai said sorry at the stranger then proceed to collect her things.
Unfortunately, the weather is not to her luck that it started to rain. Everyone around her started to run everywhere trying to take shelter not to get wet by the rain.
Only her. Stuck on the ground. The rain fall on her body mercilessly. Her things was totally soak. Her head down.
Unknown to others, that eyes which always carry a bright smile is watering. A sob escaped her trembling lips and she covered her face with shaking hands.
"W-where are you? You told me you will find me!" Bai Ling Ai cried out. She let out the anger that she has been bottling up.
The rain fall on her face doesn't stop the tears which came out uncontrollably. Her vision was blurry; it was difficult for her to see clearly.
But she saw a glimpse of a man from afar walking towards her direction with an umbrella. She try to wipe her tears not wanting for a stranger to asked her what happen.
Her red swollen eyes were visible. Her ashen cheeks turn scarlet red. But when the man with an umbrella walks to her direction closer, she couldn't help but cry harder. Her whole body wracked with an onslaught of sobs and tears.
"I finally found you." That one sentences came out from the man's mouth brought another overwhelming feeling in her.
Her watery eyes stare up at him. She couldn't believe her own eyes. Wasting no time, she crush him with a hug.
