Along the road was full of their Duke Chen and Xu Jia Wen's marriage messages. Han's people were playing firecrackers to celebrate it.

Drum can be heard as the bride and groom had arrived. The wedding were literally grand and huge. All the minister attend on time.

Starting from the huge door, red theme was everywhere. Their wedding hall was even extravagant.

"So beautiful." Xu Ling Ai exclaimed once she get into the palace. It was the real wedding banquet she saw on television.

All the guard stands on guard and all the guests showing their invitation card before getting inside the palace.

It was so merry that she could hear everyone talking to each other, laughing and teasing each other about getting married.

She could also see some familiar face which is Mo Li Huai who she first met once she step inside the capital.

She gaze around until her gaze fell onto a lady. It was her. The girl who nagged at her for punching a man. Mu Xuan Er, the royal physician's daughter.

Xu Ling Ai quickly turn to look upfront to avoid everyone's gaze. Don't want them to bring the old matters.

At first, all of them did not even bother about her. But once the guard announced Li Zhao's arrival, they started to look at their direction.

They look at his face, the same old stone face with icy eyes covered by a half masks. Not surprising yet still fearing him.

"Who is she?" Whispers can be heard.

They are curious about the girl standing beside Duke Su's sides. The man would gave Xu Ling Ai a flirty smile while girls glaring at her for walking with a prince.

Li Zhao rarely attend any banquet or celebrate any happy occasion so they've never seen him enjoying this kind of thing.

The fact that he is too quiet and cold made everyone be wary whenever they are around him. They never regard Li Zhao as friend who are around their age.

Xu Ling Ai could feel Li Zhao do not like this kind of attention. She only attend the wedding for food obviously.

"Duke Su ignore her. She deserves it." A lady suddenly said evilly.

It was He Xi Er. The second most beautiful in the country after Xu Jia Wen. She is Minister He's one and only daughter.

She had been chasing Li Zhao since they are a teenager but he never cast an eye on her. When she heard him getting married, it was shocking.

It was because of a royal decree. He Xi Er had voicing out her opinion on marrying Li Zhao since ages ago but never once did the emperor allow it.

He Xi Er knew it because of her own father. Her father never once agreed to it. So she had no choice but to stay away from him.

"A slut flirting with a prince." One of He Xi Er's minion said and they all laugh.

However, it didn't escape Xu Ling Ai's ear. Her ears were literally burning. If it was outside she wouldn't have swallow it nicely but she is currently inside the palace.

Xu Ling Ai stopped her steps and grab Li Zhao's sleeves halting him from moving forward. He Xi Er were standing on their right side.

"Are you jealous?" Xu Ling Ai turned to face He Xi Er and her minions. They are quite shock by her sudden confrontation.

The crowd starting to turn their attention to Xu Ling Ai and He Xi Er. While Li Zhao just stand there waiting for Xu Ling Ai. He is not sure what she is going to do but he is sure it is not going to be good.

He is not the type to get involved in ladies things so he is just going to let Xu Ling Ai handle it. Li Zhao were quite confident about his consort ability to take someone's down.

"W-what? O-of course no!" He Xi Er stammered not knowing how to respond.

Xu Ling Ai look at the girl in front of her who is around her age. She had to admit He Xi Er is pretty but lack of manner.

"Stop gossiping, men will not like it."

Since they keep mocking about Xu Ling Ai being slut so she might as well mock them back about man.

"We are not you! We don't flirt with man shamelessly. That also a prince." He Xi Er defending her group.

Xu Ling Ai smirk feeling happy about her reaction. This is the moment she has been waiting for. Since all of them seems to not know her so she might as well get herself well known.

Before this, she might hate to reveal herself as Duke Su's consort but this time she wanted to do it. She wanted to let everyone know about herself being his wife.

She don't know why she is being so daring now. But bad side of her is coming out as she hate looking at the girls casting a lust eyes on her husband.

She even trail off his shoulder with her finger as if claiming him as hers. But no one know her heart was pounding so hard due to the nervousness.

Putting the consequences aside, she decided to make use of Li Zhao for a moment. Li Zhao stood there froze. Surprise was an understatement but he remain his posture.

"Husband? Y-you're Duke Su's Princess Consort?!" He Xi Er gasps to the new facts.

"Yes I am darling. Now excuse us. We need to go." Xu Ling Ai said then giving a sign to Li Zhao that she is done.

However, Li Zhao suddenly clasp his hand with her hand. Once again they gasps include Xu Ling Ai. She could feel tingling all over her body.

Just like that, they left the guests and head the official wedding room where all the royal family gather for the important marriage custom.

"Bow to each other." Li Jun Yi and Xu Jia Wen finally finished the nuptials ceremony.

They pay greeting to His Majesty and Her Majesty then proceeded to pay greet to Xu Family.

Xu Jia Wen were smiling from ear to ear. Finally her dream finally being fulfilled and she is now in the same place as Xu Ling Ai.

While Li Jun Yi's face remain stoic. It was never his attention to get marry to Xu Jia Wen. He never had any feelings to Xu Jia Wen.

Li Zhao told her he need to go somewhere else for a moment. So she decided to greet the couple alone.

Li Jun Yi instantly look at the lady he had yearn. He wish to marry Xu Ling Ai not Xu Jia Wen. To him, Xu Jia Wen's intelligence was nowhere near Xu Ling Ai's.

"Thank you sister." Xu Jia Wen act as if they are close. She was about to say more but Li Zhi Ming interrupted her.

"Xu Ling Ai. It has been awhile." Li Zhi Ming stare at the face that he missed.

After the incident, they never met again until today. He wanted to visit Duke Su Manor but he knew his second brother will not be happy.

"Your Highness. It has been awhile." Xu Ling Ai smile looking at the handsome face.

"Me and His Highness will take our leave first to change our clothes and greet the guests." Xu Jia Wen interrupted them intentionally seeing that the conversation had no end.

Xu Jia Wen urge Li Jun Yi but he did not budge. She saw the way he stare at Xu Ling Ai. She was no stupid to notice he likes her. Xu Jia Wen then dragged Li Jun Yi away from there.

Xu Ling Ai has been pacing all around the palace but she still couldn't find Li Zhao. She wonder where did he go.

"Why hasn't he come back?" She anxiously fiddling her finger.

She was all alone as all the guests is in the other hall. Having no intention to go back, she lean on a nearby pillar. Her petition body was cover by the huge pillar so no one could see her.

She was all alone. That's what she thought. Only birds sounds were there. Suddenly, another presence's shoes sounds coming to her direction.

Xu Ling Ai swiftly hide her body to avoid any useless conversation with anyone. She thought it was the guests. But she was wrong.

"What are you doing here Poison Master Hu?" A familiar woman voice seems cautious. She was totally panicking considering her voice were shaking.

"I need more of Gold Silkworm." The man who Xu Ling Ai assume as Poison Master Hu said.

'Gold Silkworm! That's the last ingredient I am looking for!' Xu Ling Ai jaw drop and she covered her own mouth from gasping.

"I already gave you a lot. I cannot produce it anymore, His Majesty is watching." The woman responds angrily.

That moment Xu Ling Ai could guess it was Empress Yi. The way she formally addressed herself and her voice were too familiar for someone like Xu Ling Ai who had a quarrel with Empress Yi before.

'What are they going to do with the Gold Silkworm?' She mentally asked herself.

"If you couldn't produce it, I can't make the Human Vampire Poison again! Our plan will be failed." Poison Master Hu also raise his tone.

This time Xu Ling Ai really couldn't stop herself from being shocked. Her heart bounce as she is afraid they might saw her. Her and Li Zhao plan will not succeed if they saw her.

"I will try to produce it again later when His Majesty take his eyes off of me. Also don't you dare meet me like this again! We might get caught." Empress Yi gave him a warning before walking away from the scene.

Xu Ling Ai peek from behind the pillar. When she saw Poison Master Hu also went away, she went out of there. She did not even notice that she was sweating.

"I need to tell Li Zhao as soon as possible." She determinedly muttered then running to find him in every nook and crany of the palace.
