《Billionaire's Baby ✓》Chapter Forty-Eight

It was Ayaansh's birthday and Srishti was already rushing here and there. She wanted her son's first birthday to be the best and so she would do everything in her power to make it best.
"Srishti," Sahil called her just when she was about to go to check on Ayaansh.
"Huh?" She looked at him, waiting for him to continue but it seemed like he was hesitating for some reason.
"I know you wanted Ayaansh's birthday to be private and with the four of us only present but I think it'll be more good for Ayaansh if we celebrate it at the orphanage." His words stunned her and she could only stare at him.
Of course she had thought about it but she just assumed that Sahil wouldn't like celebrating it anywhere else since it would increase the risk of exposing Ayaansh to the world.
"Are you sure? I mean what about the media?" She asked not sure but Sahil only nodded.
"I've got that covered, so if you're okay then I'll call Aditya." Sahil raised his eyebrows and Srishti sighed. She nodded and Sahil took out his phone dialing Aditya's number.
Until then Srishti decided to wake up Ayaansh and get him ready. When she walked inside the room, Ayaansh was already awake.
"Good morning, birthday boy." She cooed picking him up from the crib and Ayaansh gurgled seeing his mother.
"Happy birthday, my baby. You're already one year old. Why are you growing so fast?" She pouted and Ayaansh giggled making Srishti smile as well.
Just then she felt his presence behind her. He was too close, she could feel his chest pressed against her back and it made her heartbeat accelerate.
"Happy birthday, buddy." He wished Ayaansh as his hand came forward to hold the tiny hand.
Srishti felt trapped, she couldn't move nor could she speak anything. It was like her vocals had ditched her in that exact moment.
Ayaansh was speaking gibberish, happy to have his parents beside him on his birthday. He hugged his mother, his tiny fist wrapped around this father's finger.
"I'll.. uh.. I'll get him ready." Srishti mumbled and she could feel his eyes on her.
Why wasn't he moving away?
And so she started walking towards the bathroom but Sahil also followed making her frown. She turned back to ask him when she noticed Ayaansh holding his finger. She looked up at him and he shrugged in response making her chuckle.
"Ayaansh, leave Dadda's finger so Mumma can give you a bath." Srishti said softly but Ayaansh ignored her and kept holding his finger.
"It's okay, let me just stay beside him while you give him a bath." Sahil said and Srishti nodded helplessly.
Inside the bathroom, Ayaansh squealed, flapping his little hands in water and splashing it on his Mumma and Dadda in the process.

"Ayaansh, stop." Srishti laughed trying to stop him whereas Sahil only had a small smile on his face. He wasn't fazed at all as his clothes got wet, it just made his heart swell in happiness seeing his son happy.
His eyes then landed on Srishti, and her laugh made him smile further. Why was he missing this fun time till now, he didn't know.
"Sahil, you can go and change if you want. I'll be out with him in a few minutes." She said without looking at him and he nodded getting up and moving out.
Srishti stepped out of the bathroom after a few minutes with Ayaansh wrapped in his baby blue towel.
(alright, I had to post this. Why is this baby so cute? *cries*)
She looked up and found Sahil shirtless which made her eyes go wide. His back was facing her so he didn't realise that she was standing there and staring at him.
It was when Ayaansh babbled something, she came out of her staring session and looked away, feeling embarrassed. Thank god, he didn't catch her staring.
"Do you want me to dress him up?" She was startled when he spoke and could only stare at him being dumbfounded.
"Srishti?" He called her and she pursed her lips. Dammit why was he still shirtless?
"No, its fine. I'll do it." She mumbled staring at Ayaansh who pouted at her.
"Let me do it. Till then you can also get ready." He insisted and stepped ahead to take Ayaansh from her hold. She didn't protest and let him take Ayaansh away.
"Alright then. I'll change in another room but do not make a mess here." She warned him and he rolled his eyes. Ayaansh giggled as if teaming up with his Dadda and Srishti narrowed her eyes at the duo.
────────
When they reached the orphanage, Srishti was surprised to find the decorations done by them. She looked around and found Zevah and Aditya already present.
Zevah winked at her and she knew, this was all done by her.
"Sahil, did you plan all this?" She whispered and he only smirked in response.
Ayaansh was staring at everyone with his big, innocent eyes. He had never seen so many people before and it made him curious.
"Srishti, who is he?" A boy named Ansh came forward, looking at Ayaansh curiously. Ayaansh who seemed to notice him, immediately hid in his father's arms making Srishti chuckle at his shyness.
She bent down to Ansh's level and held his hand.
"His name is Ayaansh and he is my son. Its his birthday today, won't you wish him?" She raised her eyebrows and Ansh grinned at her.
"Happy birthday, Ayaansh." He yelled happily and so did others behind him. Ayaansh slowly peeked at them on hearing his name before he quickly hid his face again.

"Let's cut the cake." Aditya yelled excitedly and the kids yelled in happiness.
Soon, Sahil and Srishti were kneeling before the cake with Ayaansh in between them. Srishti made Ayaansh hold the knife before holding it with him and Sahil held her hand.
Everyone sang the song as they cut the cake while Aditya clicked their pictures. Srishti made Ayaansh taste the cake who scrunched up his face and Srishti's mouth hung open.
"He didn't like the cake?" She loved cakes and chocolates and here, her son hated it. What even?
"Well, I hate it as well." Sahil shrugged and she huffed. Like father, like son.
The rest of the day passed with lots and lots of fun. Ayaansh was slowly getting comfortable with the kids around and he loved to play with them. Aditya was officially the photographer, capturing the moments, whereas Zevah and Srishti stood by each other watching over the kids.
Sahil was on the phone getting details from Rohit about the deal that they had offered to Mr. Qureshi. He knew they were going to succeed and they did when the offer was accepted. Waseem Qureshi was now under his control.
He looked around for Aditya to tell him about it but found him just clicking pictures. Srishti and Zevah were engrossed too, so he let it be and decided to tell them later.
────────
Ayaansh was already asleep in his mother's arms when they returned home. Srishti also felt her eyes drooping but she kept herself awake somehow.
Sahil looked at the duo and sighed. He took Ayaansh from Srishti's arms and was about to place him in the crib when Srishti stopped him.
"Sahil wait, let me change his clothes or else he won't be able to sleep comfortably." She hurriedly took out his night suit as Sahil put him on the bed.
Ayaansh cried when his sleep was disturbed but Srishti kept talking to him in her baby voice trying to distract him. Once done, Sahil picked him up and walked in the room, slowly patting Ayaansh's back to get him to sleep before he placed him in the crib.
Srishti changed her clothes until then and gestured Sahil to do the same.
When he got out, he found Srishti waiting for him which surprised him.
"Do you want to say something?" He asked and she bit her lower lip and his eyes followed the action.
"Thank you." She whispered and he raised his eyebrows asking her to continue.
"For everything you did today." She continued and smiled nervously as Sahil came and sat on the other side of the bed.
"Well, Ayaansh is my son as well." He teased and Srishti glared at him making him chuckle.
"Alright jokes apart, Mr. Qureshi accepted the deal offered by us today. So now he's basically under my authority." He informed her and she looked at him with wide eyes.
"What? Really?" She was suddenly excited and he wondered why.
"What's so exciting about it?" She shrugged at his question.
"I don't like that man. He's always using his power in wrong ways and to threaten Zevah. So I'm happy that he won't be able to do that anymore." She explained and he nodded.
"When are you telling Aditya and Zevah about it?"
"Tomorrow. I would've today but everyone was enjoying so I let it be." Srishti smiled to herself biting her lower lip and Sahil found it suspicious.
"What's so funny?" He asked and she looked at him startled.
"N-Nothing. Goodnight." She said hurriedly and lied down, pulling the duvet over her head.
"Srishti," His voice was low and warning her but she still didn't move. Few moments passed and when she didn't feel any movements, it made her curious.
Before she could peek out, the blanket was pulled and she gasped when she found him beside her under the blanket.
"Did you forget that we share the same blanket, Srishti?" He whispered and she gulped at his proximity. He was way too close.
They stared at each other for a few moments, before his eyes moved down and rested on her lips. She found herself doing the same and before she knew it, he had already closed the distance and placed his lips on hers.
She made a weird sound at the back of her throat as he kissed her. Her left hand found its way to his hair while his, caressed her waist.
She moaned lowly when he deepened the kiss and Sahil felt his control slipping hearing her moans.
His lips then trailed down to kiss her neck, her collarbone, her chest and Srishti could only breathe heavily as he performed the ministrations on her body.
"Sahil." She hissed when she felt his lips on her breast and even though he kissed her through the fabric, it made her fist his hair more tightly.
"I want you, Srishti." She heard him whisper and it made her open her eyes. She could clearly see the need in his eyes even through the darkness and the way his eyes asked for her permission made her heart swell.
So she gave him her answer. She pulled him up and kissed him.
Let's just say, they didn't make love in the same room where their son was sleeping.

The Ordinary Life of Tom Nobody
[participant in the 2018 NaNoWriMo Royal Road challenge] The Ordinary Life of Tom Nobody is a LitRPG system story where each person transitions into the system, or SCHEMA as this system is known, innocent and unaware of his former life. Following the tutorial, memories return, but by this point, each person has a better chance of accepting their new world. It also gives them an opportunity to start from scratch, fresh without all the baggage of their former lives dictating their decisions in the early stages of the process. I don’t expect this will necessarily turn into an action-packed heroic tale, my intent is to create a character who wants to have just an ordinary, but reasonably comfortable life. I don’t know myself how well he will succeed, there may be twists and Tom may discover some heroism hidden deep inside. I guess we’ll find out together. This is my first writing attempt. I’ve wanted to write all my life, but I’ve never been able to develop the proper discipline to put in the work. I hope I complete the challenge and work my way past this hump. I am writing this as part of the NaNoWriMo Royal Road Challenge. While I will try to self-edit as I go, the challenge requires close to 2,000 words a day, so parts of the story may be rough, and things like plot lines may not make as much sense as any of us would like. If all goes well, and I complete the challenge, I plan on going back through everything and trying to polish it up. In the meanwhile, thank you for reading and I hope I don’t disappoint.
