《Billionaire's Baby ✓》Chapter Twenty-Eight

His lips twitched and a small smile adorned his face feeling his baby in his arms and seeing him up so close. It was difficult for Srishti to stifle the gasp that escaped her mouth because she saw him smile for the very first time and the monster truly had a beautiful smile.
"He's tiny, just like you." He whispered and she should've taken offence at being called tiny but in that moment she didn't even register his words.
The door opened and Srishti looked at Aditya and Zevah stepping in. When her eyes landed back on the father-son duo, she frowned because the smile had vanished. What did she expect? For him to keep smiling the whole day?
Zevah came beside her and hugged her dearly before looking at the baby in Sahil's arm while Aditya stood beside him from the moment he entered.
"I want to hold him." He declared and Zevah frowned at him.
"I will hold him first. I'm his aunt." She argued and he made a bad face at her.
"So what am I? A stranger?" He scoffed and she wanted to hit someone. Srishti looked at the them with a smile and shook her head whereas Sahil cared less and kept staring at their baby in his arms.
"No one is going to get to hold him. He's mine, so both of you shutup." Sahil declared and Srishti pursed her lips to stop the laugh. Zevah and Aditya glared at Sahil who didn't even notice about it.
The door opened and the nurse walked in grabbing all their attention. She stood before Sahil and smiled at him.
"Can I please take the baby for some regular tests?" She asked politely and Sahil nodded handing over the baby to her. After she left the four of them looked here and there making the atmosphere awkward.
"Okay until he comes back, anyone thought of a name?" Aditya asked breaking the tension in the air. Zevah sat beside Srishti's bed and asked her through her eyes to which Srishti just blinked.
"I have." Srishti whispered and Sahil looked at her, so did Aditya and Zevah.
"Ayaansh. Ayaansh Malhotra." She announced with a smile and Sahil could feel a smile forming on his lips yet again. He couldn't stop it even if he tried or maybe he couldn't stop the emotions that attacked him all of a sudden.

"And why Ayaansh?" Aditya asked with a grin and Srishti smiled at him.
"Because Ayaansh means a ray of light ; a part of parents and he is my ray of light. From here marks the new beginning of our lives and I can't be more thankful to have him by my side." She looked away immediately as Sahil stared at her. Her teary eyes didn't go unnoticed by anyone but no one commented on it.
The nurse walked in with their baby and looked at the four faces which were staring at her.
"Well everything's alright. The baby is healthy and fine so don't worry." She informed and all of them sighed in relief. Amused she shook her head before looking at Srishti.
"The baby needs breastfeeding so ─" She trailed off and Aditya and Zevah immediately nodded moving out of the room while as Sahil got up to leave, the nurse stopped him.
"The father of the child can stay." She said but when Sahil looked at Srishti, she looked away feeling uncomfortable and so he chose to stay out.
"It's fine. I have some formalities to complete." He walked out after that making Srishti sigh in relief.
The nurse walked over to her and placed the baby in her arms, adjusting her position.
"Your husband seemed flustered but he loves you both." She chuckled and Srishti could only gape at her. If only she knew...
────────
Eight hours later, they went back to the penthouse because according to Sahil, he did not want any nuisance from anybody for his son.
He decided to stay there for a few weeks until it was safe to go back to the mansion. Aditya and Zevah had wanted to accompany them the whole time they were in the hospital and after that but Sahil asked them to go back saying it wasn't needed.
And just then Aditya had received a call from his office and so they had to leave.
"Mr. Malhotra." Srishti called Sahil holding Ayaansh in her arms. The next moment he was beside her looking at Ayaansh.
"Can you hold him please?" She requested and he nodded taking Ayaansh in his arms. Just then he opened his eyes and stared at Sahil, while Srishti glanced at Sahil's expressions.
A little yawn escaped Ayaansh's lips before he started crying. A panic look passed Sahil's face but he immediately sobered turning towards Srishti who chuckled.

"Why is he crying?" He asked as she took Ayaansh from his arms. The next moment he settled in her arms and stopped crying getting familiar with his mother's warmth.
"Because he will take some time to get familiarised with his father. He recognises his mother's warmth and seeks comfort from it." She explained while he seemed to not like the information.
"How much time?" He asked almost impatiently and she gave him a questioning look.
"How much time will he take to recognise me?" Srishti's eyes shined with laughter because he seemed desperate and at the same time it was cute.
"I don't know. Ask your son." She shrugged and walked towards the bed. Adjusting herself with Ayaansh in her arms she then looked up to see Sahil still staring at Ayaansh.
"Mr. Malhotra, he'll know, trust me." She blinked her eyes and his eyes then landed on her. She looked tired but yet there was this warmth in her eyes when she looked at their son.
"Alright you both rest, I'll just finish some work and come." He informed and she nodded before he left the room.
────────
"Are we done for today?" Aditya asked probably for the nth time and Zevah rolled her eyes. He was so impatient to go to the penthouse but so was she.
"No sir, we still have some pending work." She replied sweetly and he groaned falling back in his seat.
"You're so slow." He complained and her mouth hung open. She was slow? She was practically doing all the work running here and there and at the end, she was slow. Wow!
She didn't realise she had been glaring at him, clenching the paper in her hand until he narrowed his eyes back at her.
"That might be an important document." He pointed at the now crumbled paper in her hand and her eyes widened and she gasped leaving the paper.
She picked it up then and checked it only to sigh in relief because it was empty. He chuckled at her state and smirked.
"You're so gullible." This time she didn't feel any anger infact she was glad he was behaving like his usual self infront of her.
Smiling to herself like a fool, she looked at the paper in her hand and Aditya gave her a weird look before banging the desk causing her to jump.
"Back to reality!" She scowled and left his cabin and he just chuckled to himself. Damn when was she going to acknowledge his feelings?
────────
"Ayaansh's uncle is here!" Aditya grinned as he stepped inside the room only to find both of them sleeping. He pouted and gave Sahil a sad look who entered behind him.
Zevah suppressed her laugh and ignored Aditya's glare. Just as they turned to leave Aditya noticed Ayaansh moving in his sleep. He was ofcourse wrapped in a blue cloth but still looked the cutest.
He slowly opened his eyes and looked around while Aditya was close to squealing like a girl.
"He's awake." Aditya whispered, excitedly and watched Ayaansh from afar as he looked at his mother. As if sensing his eyes on her, Srishti woke up and scooted closer to Ayaansh unaware of the audience.
"Is my baby hungry? It's feedy feedy time." She cooed and the next second Aditya was dragged out by Zevah. Sahil stood there watching them and although he could see only Srishti's back, it was still enough.
What had changed in his life after Srishti and Ayaansh's arrival? Everything. The hidden emotions weren't so hidden anymore how much ever he tried to hide them.
For Ayaansh they definitely poured out.
With a sigh he closed the door and left the room. The living room was like a telecast of a cartoon drama. Aditya glaring at Zevah while she laughed at his state.
"Aww Ayaansh's uncle was so jumpy to meet him but seems like he's so not interested in this meet." She mocked him and giggled again whereas Aditya huffed and looked away.
"You won't be meeting my son until I say so." Sahil declared walking towards them and once again Zevah started laughing to which Sahil turned to her and added, "You too."
She stopped laughing at once and looked at him in disbelief. And then it was Aditya's turn to laugh at her but he sobered up soon.
"But why? Why can't we meet him?" He demanded narrowing his eyes and Zevah joined him.
"Because he will take time to recognise me. So until he does familiarise with me, you two are not allowed here." He declared and Aditya whined stomping his feet.
"This is so unfair!" He cried and sat on the floor while Zevah and Sahil just stared at the big baby.

Beyond the Veil
Martin's life would never be the same. He somehow survived a massacre by shady men in black, only to discover they were conspiring with the police. What was he going to do now? But where one life ends, another life begins. One that will learn of magic, and the world beyond the veil. This is a complete rewrite of my first story, The World Beyond the Veil. This is not the same story. Not even a single sentence has been copy-pasted from the original fiction. Readers of the original will recognize a lot of elements, but there are more and more differences as the story progresses. The fiction is planned as a trilogy. The first volume is published. Regarding one of the tags:Sexual Content: There are no explicit sex scenes in the story. On the other hand, it is definitely a story meant for an adult audience, with plenty of references to sex and genitalia. If you're not comfortable with that, maybe steer away from this story. I am very interested in feedback. Let me know if you spot a plot hole or something else that seem off to you.

Mark of the Lash
Born from a precarious relationship between a Drow and his prize, Serena Lash struggles to find her place, and herself, as she fights to persevere through the hardships life throws her way. A story born from a D&D game I am currently a part of. The narrative will follow the events of the campaign as closely as possible, with some events having been tweaked to better fit into a written story. A slow burn, the narrative does skip around a bit due to the nature of the campaign, considering that not everything in the game needs to be written about. This will begin to peter out the further the story progresses, but for the first parts, expect a bit of skipping!
