Writer's pov:

The lights slowly turned brighter as the professor switched off the projector and dismissed the class to their lunch. One by one, the students slowly walked out, some in groups and couples and a few individually.

Vihana and her new friend Madhu stayed back to ask about the student club. After clearing the doubts, the new friends parted ways to meet their respective partners.

Collecting her things off the table, Vihana walked out of the class to see her boyfriend of four months standing beside her classroom door.

He looked super fine and classy in his formal wear, his white shirt tucked into his neatly pressed black trousers that ended at his ankle. My, why did she not notice this fine man in her school days? But it is okay! She got him now.

His face glowed in the midday sun, the rays casting a shadow on a side that made his high cheekbones appear to be even sharper from her angle, and his wavy hair slicked back with a strand of hair kissing his clear forehead, that waved slightly when the wind blew.

He had his car keys in one hand and a few documents that seemed important in the other as he skimmed them, unaware that she had arrived.

Without a second thought, she wrapped her arms around his bicep in an attempt to startle him, causing him to drop his keys. Turning around to look at the intruder, Hari looked at her accusingly, but the smile on his lips betrayed him.

Knocking her forehead playfully, Hari picked up the keys and took a look at his grinning girlfriend, who looked so happy as she rocked back and forth on her heel, her arms hiding behind her back and her midnight black hair swinging with her each movement.

"Well, hello to you too!" He teased, forwarding his hands to hold her hands, his lips lifting in a smile when her warm one intertwined their fingers together.

"Hey, boyfriend!" Vihana chippered, raising her head to see a smile dancing on his lips as he led them through the crowd, his hands holding her tightly.

"Someone is happy today! Pray, tell me why?" Looking down at the smiling little lady, Hari questioned, his arms going around her to avoid her dashing into anyone. The canteen looked crowded more than usual due to the fresher day as hostel students' parents lingered around, speaking with their children before returning home.

"You, you are the reason," Vihana confessed, her eyes shining in love as she looked at him through her lashes, causing his heart to skip a beat.

His steps halted, his cheeks heating up as he looked at the reason for his sudden shyness, who winked at him and walked forward without a word. Thanks to his brown skin, the blush that crept onto his skin didn't show.

Taking a deep breath to calm himself, he jogged through the crowd to catch up with his girlfriend, who stopped around the corner, a teasing smile on her face as she waited for him.

"Such sweet-talked you siblings are!"

"Um, what?"

"You and Vikram! You guys have a honey mouth that could make anyone melt!"

"Vikram anna?"

"Wait here. I'll submit this and come soon?" Hari said, more like questioned her, pointing to the paper he held. It doesn't feel right to leave her alone in the mechanical block, where the boys desperately crave female company.

It's known that the mechanical department is void of girls. Sometimes, one or two girls join this course but, they also tend to change the stream once they find no girls in the class.

So, it is like a universal curse that no girls join the mechanical dep, and due to that, boys get super hyped when a new girl enters their block.

"Yeah, go."

"Are you sure?" He smiled when she nodded her head, signaling him to go already. Patting her head gently, he entered Hod's room after knocking.

Leaning against the beige wall, Vihana blinked, biting her lips, thinking hard what would have her brother had said that made Hari say this.

Unconsciously, she gained the attention of the group of boys who stood on the floor above. The leader, who stood in the middle of the group, smiled and closed his eyes with a sigh when she tilted her head and frowned cutely.

"Oye!" The boy called, leaning against the railing, trying to gain her attention, who took his breath away with her confused face. His friend teased and booed when she did not answer.

Feeling his ego bruised by their hooting, he tore a paper from a note, crushing it in and aiming it at her. His smirk fell when he missed but, he cheered when it hit her arm the next.

Startled, Vihana looked up to see a group of boys staring at her. From the look of their ID tag, they seemed like they were 3rd year.

Their stare made her want to hurl the paper across their stupid face but remembering Hari's words, 'Don't reply to this dep boys, especially who looked rowdy.' She threw the crushed paper into a nearby bin and ignored them.

The leader began staring at her angrily after hearing the insult. How dare she ignore him!? Despite his friends' warning, he tried again. "Hey, beauty!"

"What? Are you some retard or what, throwing paper like a four-year-old? If you want to talk, come down, coward!" Vihana echoed, picking up the paper that he threw at her.

"Woah! Feisty? I like tha--" The boy stopped abruptly, staring behind her. Confused why he stopped, Vihana turned behind to see Hari staring at her, looking highly amused.

"Coward? Really Viha?" Hari smiled, throwing his arms around her shoulder, who blushed at his sudden PDA. The boys gaped openly at them, and before the leader could comprehend, his friends ran, leaving him as prey.

Without taking his eyes off his blushing girlfriend, Hari spoke, his eyes still holding the warmth for her, but his voice turned stern. "What were you saying, Gowtham?"

"Captain, unga aala? Sorry anna, enaku terla." Gowtham stammered, a bit flustered when Hari glared at him.

(Captain, is she your girl? Sorry, I don't know)

"Captain? From when?" Vihana's eyes widened as she looked at her boyfriend who nodded and mouthed, 'from today.'

The new cricket captain's girlfriend squealed, shaking his arm excitedly while the mech boy stood still as he observed their interaction while murmuring, 'Teasing his captain's girlfriend? Everything is over!

'Butter up!' Giving himself a pep talk, the boy shouted, "Captain, pair super! Anni ku ena help naalum solla sollunga, panirlaam!"

(Captain, super pair! Tell Sister-in-law to ask for help whenever she wants, we'll do!)

"Unga anni ku okay nah okay!" Hari laughed when Vihana hid her face from his eye at the boy's words. 'Stop!' She mouthed when his eyes didn't leave her face.

(If your sister-in-law wants, then okay)

"Okay, now go to class. Don't be late for practice tomorrow." Giving the instructions, Hari dismissed the boy who ran to save his position on the team before the Captain changed his decision.

.

.

"Ahem," Vihana cleared her throat, looking at Hari, who drove through the rain-puddled streets of RS Puram to reach his home. Surprisingly, it poured suddenly, so the classes got canceled. They are going to get changed and go on their first movie date now.

Or they are going to cuddle on the sofa with a cup of coffee!

But before that, Vihana had to know what made Hari say, 'she and Vikram have a honey mouth, and if she didn't know by now, her head would explode!

"Why did you say that Vikram anna and I have a honey mouth?"

Hari's eyes flickered from the road to her for a moment, his expert hands swirling the steering smoothly as he made the final U-turn to his home.

"Umm, Vikram confessed that he and Harshu were together. I got angry at first, but the way he spoke melted me." He began, his eyes meeting Vihaana's, her eyes wide as she tried to comprehend the information.

"Oh my God! Did he really say that?"

"By your reaction, did you already know about them?" He frowned, eyes narrowing at his girlfriend, who shook her head rapidly.

"No! How would I know? I'm truly shocked! Anna and Harshi? No way." Vihana blabbered, freaking out internally as she tried to stop herself from squealing.

'Oh my God! Hell yes! By Hari's calm expression, it looked like he accepted them.'

"I guessed that Vikram might be in love with Harshu, but he said it's mutual. I don't know why they hid this from me." Hari sighed, rolling down the window to see the side as he parked the car in the shed.

'Well, just us alone!' He thought when he noticed his mom's car missing in the garage.

(Writer: How wrong you are! *smh*)

"Don't get upset, Hari! Maybe they started dating just a few weeks ago." or for four years? Whispering the last part, she nervously laughed when he switched off the engine and looked at her suspiciously. His left arm rested behind her seat and the other on the steering wheel leisurely.

"Yeah, you are right. If we had a reason to hide our relationship from our family, they would also have the same reason." He smiled, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear slowly, his fingers playing with her jhumkaas.

"Wait—did you tell him about ours?" She panicked.

That is not how she wanted her brother to find it out. She planned to inform him directly!

"Hey, don't panic. No, I haven't yet informed him. I didn't even get the chance to confront him after his confession. He was panicking that day, blabbering something about our grandparents finding out about them." Hari explained, remembering Prathy's wedding day when Vikram confessed it to him on the way to the hall from their home.

He was shocked when Vikram told him that they were dating. Rather than being angry, he was upset because they didn't even think of telling him.

"You are telling me that Vikram anna confessed, and you haven't confronted him yet. And you will when you get the chance."

"Exactly!" He nodded.

"So, you- hm--" Vihana gasped when Hari's lips touched hers, and her words were muffled by the kiss as he angled her head for the kiss.

"Why did you do that?" She pulled back, her breath coming out in a gasp as she palmed her reddening cheeks while Hari leaned against his seat, grinning. His finger played with her curls as she avoided eye contact, the first reason being embarrassed, and the second, if she looked at him again, she might jump on him.

He looked rugged! His earlier neatly combed was now messy, resting on his forehead, and the four top buttons were left open, revealing his toned chest.

"I'm cold." He chuckled, caressing her flushed cheeks while she looked out of the window. Deciding to let her calm down, he began, "I'll go switch on the geyser. You come in once you have calmed down, okay?" Placing one last kiss on her knuckles, Hari got out of the car.

.

.

Have you ever felt 'Oh shit! They might be so disappointed with us.' Because that's how Vikram felt at this moment as he stood shirtless with his arms around his darling as they stood before her fuming brother.

If looks could kill, he would be under six feet, buried. Probably dead.

"Vikram, would you mind explaining why you are 'shirtless' and 'hugging my sister intimately'? Hari hissed, throwing down his jack. Vikram's heart dropped when Harshitha's eyes started watering as she tried to explain. Hari shook his head, not hearing their explanation as he walked towards them, his eyes holding a look.

It's the look your mom gives when you forget to turn off the stove and milk spills from the vessel she wanted you to look at for a moment and when you choose a black dress instead of the bright yellow dress she chose while shopping.

The look your father gives when you don't close the door when AC is on and leave the heater switch on after your bath.

The look your grandma gives when you forget the chapati on Tawa and chapati turns into cola chapati.

The look your sibling gives when you eat the last spoon of their favorite dish.

The look your favorite teacher gives when she catches you red-handed for bringing electronic gadgets to school. The look your school principal gives when you come in a ponytail instead of the double braid to school.

The look your friends give you when you text your toxic EX even after their warning and cancel the plan at the last moment just because you don't have a mood.

The look your cousins give when you turn up in sweat pants for the family outing and refuse to be in any filming or photo sessions.

The look your younger cousins give you when you don't have the game that they want.

The look a bus conductor gives when you forward a 100 rupee note for a 5 rupee ticket in the early morning.

But the whole feeling took a major 360 when he heard his sister's voice.

"Hari idiot! You bruised my lip! If it's cold, drink coffee, don't kiss m-" Vihana gasped, palming her mouth as she took a look at the living room.

"Viha?" Vikram whispered, staring at his sister, whose face was flushed even in this cold weather, her lips so red it almost looked painful.

"Hehe, h-- Hi Anna, Harshi, fancy seeing guys here!" Vihana squeaked, wiping her already red lips.

"Hari, do you mind explaining why my sister's face is flushed and her lips are bruised?" Taking a deep breath, Vikram looked at Hari, who now flushed red as he turned his back toward everyone and leaned his forehead against the wall embarrassingly.

"Vikram, do you mind explaining why you are half-naked with my sister?" Hari countered back, his earlier embarrassment all gone as he stood face to face with Vikram, who buttoned his shirt hastily and glared back.

"First, you answer my question," Vikram commanded, his finger pocking Hari's chest while the girls took a seat to watch who would answer first. "Are you in a relationship with my sister?"

"Why are you half-naked and alone with my sister?" Hari questioned without answering the question directed towards him.

"Why are my sister's lip--"

"Why are you na--"

"Oh, suck it up, both of you! Why are both being childish?" Harshitha yelled, getting fed up with their shitty questions. "Isn't it pretty obvious Vikram and I are dating, anna? Clearly, you and Viha are also dating!

"Ha--"

"And to answer your question, he got drenched when he came to visit me. That's why he is shirtless, and we are just relaxing until you both come." Harshitha exclaimed, cutting him off as she closed her face with her palm while Vihana continued,

"Vikram anna, yes we were kissing, that's why my lips are red! Do you have any problems with that? Don't act like you and Harshi don't kiss at all!"

"Vi--"

"So, both of you, please shut up and park your angry butt on the sofa!"

Harshitha groaned when both the men fought to sit in the middle of her and Vihana. Vikram pushed Hari off and took a seat in the middle while Hari glared at him and sat on the opposite couch.

"Viha, sit with me." Hari requested, signaling his girlfriend to come and sit beside him.

"Why my sister has to sit with you? You are 21 right? You can't sit alone?" Vikram smirked, holding back his sister when she tried to stand up.

"You are 19 right? You can't sit alone? Harshu come--"

"Shut up!" Both the girls exclaimed and marched out of the room while the boys sat still, throwing daggers at each other.

.

.

The next day, at Sri Krishna.

"Why did she call both of us?" Dhanya exclaimed, shaking her best friend's arms fearfully while Harshitha shook her head, shit scared not knowing the reason why Vikram's computer professor called them.

"It's because of you! Why did you exclaim that I was 'pregnant' yesterday? Now she's thinking I'm pregnant! You know that they are our family friends, right? What if she informs my parents?" Harshitha fretted, pacing outside Mrs. Sudha's room. She can't even imagine her parents' reaction.

No, no! Even if it's fake, they will surely get disappointed!

"Harshitha, Dhanya? Come in." A voice broke her train of thoughts.

Do or die, together! The best friends took a deep breath, nodded at each other, and entered the room.

Silence prevailed in the room as the girl took a seat opposite the pregnant professor.

"So, Harshitha, would you mind explaining what your dear friend said yesterday? Are you pregnant?" Sudha inquired, leaning forward and observing the girls as they blinked at her fearfully.

"Mam, she is actually no- Dhanya started, but before she would explain further, they heard a thud and followed by someone groaning.

"Who's there?" Sudha questioned, looking behind her. A tall silhouette emerged from the corner of the room.

"Hi ma--mam, and hi girls!" Gokul, Vikram's best friend, stammered, dusting his pants as he eyed the Harshitha doubtfully.

"What are you doing here?"

"I'm just submitting the record mam, nothing else. If you excuse me, thank you, mam!" He ran off, leaving the girl bewildered while Sudha shook her head at her students' silliness.

"Is he okay?" Dhanya asked.

"Absolutely! Now back to the topic. Explain Harshitha."

"I'm not pregnant mam." Harshitha asserted, her eyes begging the professor to believe to which Dhanya added. "Yet~"

"Dhanya, shut up!"

.

.

"Dei Gokul! Where are you going?" Someone shouted when he spotted his classmate running.

"I'm searching for Vikram! Have you seen him anywhere?"

"Yeah! He's on the 1st floor-" The person replied but Gokul ran off before he could complete, "-with his father."

.

.

Breathing hard, Gokul leaned against the railing and searched for his friend from the second floor. His eyes lit up when Vikram emerged from the class, speaking to somebody behind him.

"Dei macha!" Vikram looked up to see his friend who was grinning ear to ear as he waved at him excitedly.

"Macha! Nee Appa aga porra da!"

(dude! You are going to be a father!)

"What the hell!" Gokul stumbled back, his arms hitting the person behind him when Vikram's father appeared from behind his friend, whose jaws dropped hearing his words.

"Vikram!"

'Oh shit!'
