Writer's pov:
"Try to concentrate on your studies and break up with whoever you are in a relationship."
"Huh? What?" Vikram blinked, confused. 'What is his dad speaking about?'
"Oh, don't you know? Who's that wild cat you saved on your phone? and she is calling you 'baby' in every sentence." After hearing his father's words, Vikram's heart dropped.
On the other side, Radha gasped, palming her mouth so she could not laugh out loud. Wildcat? Harshitha is more like a gentle cat! Her son is so tasteless when it comes to a nickname like his father! Shaking her head, she waited for her son to reply.
"Moreover, it's lovely wallpaper, if only it is not a silhouette of you both together. I would have at least seen her face." Sivakumar mocked, taking Vikram's phone out of his pocket. While pressing the home icon, he observed his son's expression.
As the phone lit up, a silhouette of a couple appeared. The photo was dark, so Sivakumar wouldn't tell who that young lady was, but he would confirm it's his son from the hairstyle. The picture appeared to be taken in a cafe or something, as the couple embraced each other.
"Is this proof enough?"
'Oh shit! The picture was of them in a cafe, their first date after Harshitha joined his college.' Vikram cursed and breathed to calm down while Radha tried to hold her emerging giggle by the look of horror on her son's face. Her son wasn't what she thought he would be, and she expected him to be moody and not romantic!
'At least he's romantic, unlike his father.' Radha sighed, leaning against the pillar.
('Yeah yeah, aunty. That's how you got three kids?' Writer facepalms)

Leaning against the table and resting his chin on his palm, Vikram gazed at Harshitha, who was staring out the window.
"Are you sure no one will find us?" Harshitha pulled her eyes off the window and asked, breaking him out of his trance.
"Baby, relax. The cafe owner is the brother of one of my classmates. He will inform us if anyone we know comes here." Vikram spoke softly, squeezing her hands softly, to which she nodded and then shook her head when he signaled her to come over to sit beside him.
"At least give me your hand!"
"Behave, Vikram!" He stood up and sat next to her in the silent and dark cafe, arguing that sitting away from her was lonely. The sound of her laughter echoed throughout when he fell off the seat.
"Don't laugh, women!" Vikram frowned and sat beside her when she moved a little and gave him some space.
"Is it enough?" Laughing, she placed a soft kiss upon his warm palm as his eyes stared at her in utter adoration. Upon feeling his stare at her, she flushed, and her heart raced as his finger entwined around hers.
"Vikram, your order is ready!" Breaking eye contact, Vikram raised to get their order while Harshitha looked out to hide her flushed cheeks.
This is so new. During their school days, they never skipped class or spent time together in such a way. Except for their trip to the grandparents' home, it was just the late-night secret SMS and eye contact while crossing the path on the school corridor. But now as they sat next to each other, just enjoying each other's presence, this felt so intimate and special.

The rainy day made for a perfect day for coffee on an empty cafe patio as the couple enjoyed the rain. And unknown to them, the cafe owner took a candid portrait of them when he passed by.
On the same night, Vikram received the picture from his friend. He was angry at first for taking pictures without their knowledge, but it changed when he saw the picture.
The owner took the photo at an angle, that only the silhouettes of them huddled up in the love seat were visible, and that has been his wallpaper since then.

"Vikram! Who is she?" His father's booming voice brought him out of the daze. Vikram glanced up at his father, who stared at him hard, his eyes drilling a hole in his head as he waited for his answer.
"Your future daughter-in-law," Vikram confessed, observing his father's expression, whose face contorted from confusion to anger.
"What did you say?"
"My future wife." Vikram tensed when his father raised to his feet and marched towards him. His footstep was heavy and fast. Before he would even blink, his father was towering over him.
"Vikram, you are just twenty! Your wife? Do you hear what you're speaking?" Siva Kumar raised his voice, staring at his son furiously, who only stared back at him unfazed. His expression appeared to tell 'I don't care what you say.' that made his blood boil in anger.
'Did he think if he raised his voice, Vikram would break up Harshu? Silly guy!" Radha shook her head at her husband's outburst.
"Dad, You asked me who she is, and I answered you. Now, what's the problem with me being twenty?" Vikram rebuked, standing up, now matching his father's height as they stared at each other.
"You're not old enough for this. Get your studies done first, and then we can see about this, but you should break up with her." His father ordered and turned to walk away, but Vikram's words made him halt, speechless.
"I'm twenty and an adult. I'll surely concentrate on my studies. I'll wait for you to accept our relationship, but I'll never break up with her," Vikram stated, his hands clenched in a fist as he saw his father pause on his steps.
'That's my boy!' Radha cheered, clapping at her son's brave reply, still hiding behind the pillar.
"Oh, you are twenty and an adult now? Okay, from tomorrow come to the office and work. Pay for Everything you use in this home." Sivakumar declared, emphasizing some words and picking up Vikram's phone and pocketing it in his shirt. Radha facepalmed at their childish fight. She expected them to be in their throats, but these men!
"Pa, that's my phone."
"I paid for it," Sivakumar smirked when Vikram frowned.
"Don't play dirty, dad, and you know I have college tomorrow."
"Everything is fair in love and war, son! Good night. Wake up early and walk to your college." Siva Kumar whistled, climbing two steps at a time happily while Vikram stared at him in disbelief.
"Krishnan maama gifted me the bike, so put down the key," Vikram exclaimed, following his father, who threw the key at him and shut the door in his face.
'What the heck!'
.
.
The next day, 7;30am.
"Good morning, Athai!"
Vihana's heart nearly stopped when she entered the kitchen to witness the scene she never wished to see in the early morning.
There stood their father's friend's daughter 'Pooja' alas 'The daddy's princess.' in a pure white salwar that contrasts her dark heart, her hair braided, and her head full of jasmine. A literal Jagan Mohini.

"What the heck? Who let this psycho inside the early morning?" Vihaan whispered, stopping on his track behind his twin as they stared at the devil, who was trying to put a coffee.
The keyword being 'trying' as she poured all the milk out of the vessel. The black kitchen marble turned white as the milk slipped down the counter to the ground while the burnt vessel smell spread across the entire kitchen.
Ew, they are never drinking that poison. The twins slipped away before she could see while Radha gasped, turning off the stove and putting the mat under the counter. She only turned away for a second, and this girl burned her milk vessel!
"Sorry, Athai! I saw another packet inside the fridge. I'll go bring that." Before she could refuse, Pooja threw open the fridge and took the milk pack, and gave it to her.
Radha's anger flared when she saw the fridge's open door, while the girl, who was the reason for this, tried to pour the milk into another vessel.
'Her favorite vessel! No, no chance! She will not let this burn too!' Radha rushed forward before she could place it on the stove.
"Pooja, give me that ma. I'll put that. Vikram doesn't like burned coffee." Radha cringed when the girl pouted and stomped her way out of the kitchen.
Pooja's face broke into a huge grin when she found the twins sitting at the dining table. The steps of her walk grew faster as she walked behind Vihana and hugged her tightly, causing Vihana to gasp in pain, tapping the table as they do in WWE, 'I give up.' Vihana struggled to get her off when the girl refused to leave her.
"Pooja, leave her, you weirdo!" Vihaan exclaimed, peeling her off his twin, whose breathing came out as pants as she tried to catch her breath.
"Don't bully me, you evil twi-- Vihana Vihaan, I missed you so much!~"
The twins blinked, confused why the devil's attitude took a 180 turn suddenly. Vihaan signaled his sister to look towards the stairs. Vihana smirked when she found the reason. Their brother.
Dressed in a fitted black shirt and faded grey denim, Vikram descended the stairs as he dried his hair with a towel while humming a happy tune as he walked towards the kitchen.
He stopped on the dead on his track when his eye met the starry eyes of the girl, whose body language screamed, she is going to hug him next. Vikram dodged when she sped towards him, her arms wide open. Her smile dropped when she saw Vikram moving away.
"Ma, I'm going! Have to pick up Harshu!" Vikram exclaimed, throwing his wet towel at Vihaan, who scrunched it and threw it on his twin's face, who threw it again, but it landed on their father's face, who just stood at the entrance startled.
Well, this is not what he expected to be greeted in this early morning. Siva Kumar shook his head, putting away the wet towel in a hamper, and took a seat beside his daughter, who apologized for throwing the towel at his face.
"Vikram, have breakfast and go! College starts at ten only! Why are you both going there this early?" Radha asked, taking a seat at the table.
"Outing!" Vihana coughed, raising her brow at her brother, who glared at her to shut up while Vihaan observed the secret signs.
'His twin knows? Traitor!' Vihaan cursed, swallowing down his breakfast angrily.
"Ahem, no Ma. I have this special class today morning. That's why." Vikram cleared his throat, taking out his helmet.
"Okay, but have at least this coffee." Radha forced, passing the coffee cup to him.
Placing a kiss on his mom's forehead and wishing his sibling all the best for their first day, Vikram grabbed his keys off the shelf and made his way to the door but stopped when he heard his father call him.
"Vikram. Wait."
"Pa?"
"Hereafter, Pooja will be coming with you to college." Pooja grinned, skipping towards him happily, while the others frowned.
"Siva, then how will Harshitha go to college?" Radha interrupted, patting her son's shoulder to calm him down, who looked like he would fight any minute.
"I spoke with Sakthi. Hari will drop her off in the morning and Dhanya in the evening." He asserted, raising from the chair. Everyone gasped when her brother threw the helmet down. "Pa, this is not for you to decide. It's between us." Vikram exclaimed, shrugging off pooja's hand when she tried to touch his arm.
"Vikram, it's just Harshi, and I said Hari would drop her off. You just do what I said." Having said that, Sivakumar excited their home, carrying his offie bag while everyone in the living room stood silently.
"Vikram, just today. Please dear, after that I'll speak with him. okay? Radha consoled her son, who unclenched his fist at her soothing tone.
"Just 2 minutes. If you are not out in by then, I'm going!" Vikram scowled, walking out while Pooja scooped down and took blessing from Radha.
With an awkward smile, Radha blessed the girl who ran out when they heard the endless horn.
'Idu enga poi mudiya poguto!' Radha stared at her son, who warned the girl to keep her hands to herself as he drove out their compound.
(where is this going to end?)
.
.
Harshitha sighed, leaning against the gate as she waited for Vikram to pick her up. He said he would be here at eight, but it's already half-past eight.
She yelped, dropping her phone when she felt a hand on her shoulder. She relaxed once she saw it was Hari only.
"It seems I'll be dropping you hereafter. Amma said Siva maama informed just now." Hari said, taking her bag out of her hand.
Harshitha frowned, 'why didn't he inform me? and he didn't attend any of my calls.'
"Well, she could just speak to him once she reaches the college!"
.
.
Hari hummed, tapping against the steering as they got stuck in the morning traffic. "Is that Vikram?" Hari asked, pointing to the petrol bank to Harshitha, who sat in the passenger seat.
"Looks like him," Harshitha whispered as she stared at the couple. He took off once a girl in a white salwar sat behind him.
'Black and white', yin and yang?
.
.
"Karthik, Hi! Did you see Vikram anywhere?" Harshitha asked, stopping the tall boy who was Vikram's classmate.
"He's in the parking l-" Before he would complete the sentence, she ran away while Karthik stared at her departing figure and said, "-ot with a girl."
.
.
"Pooja! stop following me!" Vikram raised his voice when he found her following him everywhere.
"Vikram, wait!"
"What the hell?!" Vikram gasped when her figure raced toward him, and before he could comprehend it, he was taken into a ferocious hug, and Pooja wrapped her arms around him so tight that he felt breathless.
"Let go!" Before he could push the girl away, someone cleared their throat, causing him to still as he stared at the person who was leaning against his bike, amused.
"Oh, you have company? I'll come the other time."
"Bab-
"Vikky, who is she?"
"Vikky? I thought you hated that nickname?!" Harshitha tilted her head and asked as she stared at them.
"Vikky! Who is she?"
"Sorry to disturb you guys! And Brother, you don't have to drop me home hereafter."
"Oh and to answer your question, I'm his sister."
.
.
My college reopens on Sep 1, and I'm not ready to go. Are you guys like that too?
