Writer's Pov:

"Vihaan!!!!" Harshitha shouted, looking at Vihaan, who looked at her alarmed. She stood before his bed, holding her mobile that displayed a screenshot of a conversation.

Vihaan gulped, sitting up nervously, his knuckles turned white from his hold on the blanket.

"What is this?" She questioned angrily, trying to keep her voice low. The elders went to buy a gift for rPathyuksha's marriage, leaving the youngsters home. Vihana, Hari, and Vikram are in the living room, watching tv.

"Harshi.. please don't be mad." Vihaan pleaded, quickly closing the door. Turning around, he looked at her angry figure, thinking of a way to calm this angry bird.

"Don't Harshi me." Harshitha snapped, slapping away his hands that came to hold her hand. She already warned him about this despite that he kept on repeating it again and again.

"I can explain. please hear me." He pleaded, sitting beside her, her face softened at his pleading tone.

"Vihaan, I heard your explanation at least ten times, and it's still the same." She stated softly.

"Loving a girl older than you is not a crime Harshi. Why can't you understand me?" Vihaan remarked in a vexed toned.

"If it is two- or three-month difference is okay Vihaan, a year older than you? Can you imagine how our family would react to it?" Harshitha exclaimed, closing her eyes, feeling already drained.

"What is wrong with that?" He snapped, getting tired of hearing the same thing again and again.

"What is wrong with what?" Vihana entered the room, looking at them suspiciously while Vihaan glared at her for interrupting them.

"Nothing, why are you here?" Harshitha stood up, glancing at Vihaan to keep quiet.

"Oh, Hari and Vikram anna is going to cook. They asked what we want for lunch." Vihana replied, sensing something is wrong with her twin by looking at his face.

"They are cooking? Then it is going to be a disaster. Come on, we will help them before they set the kitchen into the fire." Harshitha dragged Vihana out, looking back at Vihaan apologetically while he just shook his head and closed the door sadly.

In the kitchen

"Heard that the great chefs of our family are going to cook us lunch," Harshitha said sarcastically and strolled inside the kitchen with Vihana. Vikram narrowed his eyes and turned around to glare at them while Hari chuckled, washing the vegetables.

"What to do? The princesses of the family are very busy relaxing. So, that these slaves should cook for them." Vikram countered, dicing the carrots clumsily.

Vihana frowned as Hari washed the vegetables slowly and wiped them with a cloth.

"Paathu paathu, anda takalli ku valika poguthu." Vihana commented, snatching the tomatoes off his hands, he washed those as if it was the most fragile thing in the world. Hari moved back, giving her the space to stand, looking at her adoringly.

(Careful, it might pain for them)

Her bangles made a soothing sound as she washed the vegetables swiftly yet gently.

On the other side, Harshitha hopped on the counter beside Vikram, controlling her laughter as he diced the carrot into cubes or we can say tried dicing it into cubes.

"Instead of laughing, you can help me, you know," Vikram murmured, slapping her hands away when she tried to take a piece to eat.

"You know, I will only marry a man, who knows to cook," Harshitha whispered, winking at him when he looked at her with a blank expression.

"Apo ena kalyanam pannika mata?" Vikram pinched her cheeks and chuckled when she pouted, rubbing her cheeks.

(Then you won't marry me?)

Harshitha looked at the other couple, who were very busy in their own world, to even look at them.

"The rice jar is empty. I will fill this up and come." Vihana took the empty jar and walked towards the storeroom.

"Ahem ahem, The rice bag is on the top shelf. Can anyone come and help me?" Vihana returned empty-handed, looking at Hari expectingly for help, winking at harshitha on her way.

Harshitha scooted closer to Vikram and tugged his shirt to get his attention. Vikram looked up, raising his eyebrow, asking what.

"What? I need to practice. My future wife said she won't marry me if I don't know to cook." Vikram complained, still looking at her sadly.

She hooked her finger up in a come here gesture with a smirk on her face. Vikram looked around to ensure no one was coming and stood between her legs and wrapped his arms around her waist while she circled her left arm around his neck and cupped his cheeks with her right hand.

"Smile!" Harshitha rolled her eyes looking, at his still sulking face.

"No" He turned his head away.

"Even If you don't know to cook, I will marry you. Don't sulk! It doesn't suit you." Harshitha whispered near his ears and kissed behind his ear, making him gasp, knowing that is his sensitive spot.

He leaned in to kiss her, but she pushed him back as vihana entered the kitchen with a knowing smirk on her face, followed by Hari who carried the heavy rice jar carefully.

Finally, they prepared the vegetable fried rice with the girls reciting the recipe and steps.

"Who will wash those?" Vihana exclaimed, pointing at the sink full of dirty vessels they used while cooking.

"We all prepared this lunch, it's only fair if Vihaan washed them as he didn't help us in cooking," Hari stated, placing the plates on the dining table.

"Call him downstairs, I don't know what's his problem. From morning he is copped up inside that dark room." Vihana exclaimed, throwing her arms in the air dramatically while Vikram called his brother downstairs for lunch.

A few minutes later, Vihaan entered the dining room and sat beside Vihana silently. Everyone exchanged glances, not knowing the reason for his weird behavior today, while Harshitha looked at Vihaan worriedly.

He is always the goofy one in their gang, seeing him like this made her sad. She only hoped Vihaan would come to accept the rejection.

"Vihaan, can you go call the girls downstairs," Lakshmi asked her grandson, sitting on the sofa with a sign, shopping all day drained out their energy.

"Okay, Patti." Vihaan nodded, taking out his phone to call, then decided against it. He climbed the stairs and walked towards their room.

"What?" Vihana asked from inside when she heard the knocks.

"It's me. Everyone is back, and they are calling you both down." He informed, tapping his feet impatiently.

"Harshi is combing her hair. we will come." Vihana opened the door for him and sat on the bed.

"What happened? All, okay?" She asked worriedly, looking at her twin's-tired face. She has never seen him this low, He looked sad and gloomy.

"I'm good. Thanks for asking." He replied, sitting beside her on the bed. But his reply only made her restless as he laid back on the bed tiredly.

"You are not okay, tell me." She pulled him up, touching his forehead to check if he has a fever.

"God, you are so annoying! I'm fine, you go down, I will come with Harshi." Vihaan pushed his twin out, chuckling at her annoying yet cute behavior.

"Viha polam." Harshi came out from the balcony to see Vihaan sitting waiting there instead of vihana.

"Harshi."

In the Livingroom

"Vihana, come look at this! Do you like it?" Ganesh exclaimed, showing the new gold jewel they bought for the girls. The newly purchased items were spread across the floor, the ladies sat there inspected if they got everything they needed.

"Aww, it's so beautiful." She squealed, smiling at him widely.

"Put it on and show us," Lakshmi asked, smiling at her granddaughter's happy face.

Vihana nodded excitedly, removing the gold chain that she wore on her neck.

She frowned as she kept missing the hook, seeing that Laksmi asked Hari to help, who sat beside her.

Vihana's breath hitched as hari removed her hands and slowly moved her hair aside. She knew that his touch was not intentional, but she blushed as his hands gently brushed against her skin as he put on the hook of the new gold chain.

In girls' room

"Harshi."

"Vihaan, why can't you accept the rejection and move on, there are so many girls." Harshitha breathed, thinking of words to console him. She doesn't know what to do hereafter.

"Okay, I will not disturb her but, I'm not giving up," Vihaan spoke, trying to control his emotion, he badly wants to scream, but he knows this is no one once fault, it's all his fault.

"Vihaan, Dhanya is committed, and she is older than you. Try to understand that. That's all I would say. I don't want to take a side between my best friend and cousin.
