Writers Pov:

"Vihaan! keep the bowl on the table!" Lakshmi ordered her grandson, who looked at the bowl of homemade Gulab Jamun like he starved for days without food.

"Patti, Ivlo kasta pattu senju eduku nama avangaluku kudukanum." Vihaan whined, looking at her with a puppy eyes.

(Grandma, why do we have to give them these?)

"Kanna, our guests both have sugar. Only their daughter will have it, so you can have them after they leave." Lakshmi consoled him, who still looked down but, his face lit up as he heard her words.

The whole house is bursting with excitement, As Lakshmi Patti's only sister's daughter's family will be arriving that afternoon to give the marriage invitation. After 20 years, this is the first marriage in their family. Everyone is so happy hearing Prathyuksha is getting married.

Prathyuksha is a journalist in the India Times. She is sweet yet very bold. The cousins enjoyed her company whenever they meet them at any family function or festival.

Everyone is busy preparing for their arrival.

The men went to get chicken and fish for lunch, and the ladies busy making sweets with the boys helping them.

And the girls are sleeping.

"Kanna Vikram, Go wake the girls up. they didn't even eat breakfast." Radha requested, frying the pakodas in a medium flame. Vikram nodded, washing his hands.

He climbed the stairs taking two steps at a time with a smile on his lips. Gently knocking on the door, he waited for them to open the door.

"Vihana, Harshitha! are you both up?" Getting no response. he raised his hands to knock again, but Harshitha opened the door with a smile.

"Good mor-" She opened her mouth to greet but got interpreted by Vikram's lips. Her hands clutched his shirt as he kissed her gently. His finger playing with the wet strand that stuck to her neck. Placing one last kiss on her forehead, Vikram moved back with a grin.

"A good morning indeed," Vikram smirked, looking at her dumbfounded expression. Vikram looked at her adoringly. She looked cute, her face fresh from the shower with her wet hair tied up in a towel.

"Vikram!" Harshitha glared at him playfully, allowing him inside the room. Vihana was asleep, hugging a pillow tightly as she snored softly.

Ignoring him, Harshitha stood in front of the mirror, applying moisturizer.

He leaned against the wall beside her trying to get her attention but failed as she kept ignoring him.

He smirked as he caught her staring at him through the mirror. He observed her as she removed the towel from her head and started drying it gently.

His body froze a second as he smelt her shampoo as she walked past him to get her shawl. He shook his head to get his mind out of the gutter. 'If only they were alone.' he thought, looking at Vihana's snoring figure with narrowed eyes.

"You know staring is rude. right?" She teased him, braiding her hair skillfully, enjoying his undivided attention.

They only get some alone time like this or going out lying to their parents, but they love those sneaky hugs and stolen kisses in the corners.

There are sometimes, they get frustrated not getting time for each other, but they are here. Four years and still strong.

"So why are you here?" Harshitha kept a Bindi in between her brows and turned around to find Vikram looking at her unblinking.

"Vikram!!" She rolled her eyes as she saw Vikram falling on the ground dramatically with a hand on his heart, muttering 'so beautiful'.

"Baby please accept my heart." He kneeled in front of her forwarding his palm as if presenting his heart to her

"Mama please indri." Harshitha giggled, closing her mouth to control her sound.

(Mama, please get up)

"Awww." They are startled by the sudden voice. They turned around to see Vihana recording them on her phone. She had a smirk on her face that screamed trouble.

"Why are you siblings always so cute?" Vihana asked, climbing down the bed.

"Ena?" Vikram questioned, confused with his sister's word, but Harshitha looked at her surprised as her words registered in her mind.

(What?)

"Ohhhhhhh, kadha apdi pogutha." Now it's Harshitha's turn to smirk as she gave Vihana a knowing look.

(Ohhh, so the story is like that)

Vikram looked between the girls confused trying to guess what they were speaking about.

"What is happening here and Vikram! why are you kneeling?" They heard Hari's voice as he entered the room. He looked at Vikram weirdly as the latter was still kneeling on the ground before his sister. His sister had a knowing look on her face, and vihana looking at him guiltily.

"Ahem ahem, onu illa macha. Harshi edo killa potutanu sonna adaan teditu iruken." Vikram blabbered, standing up, smiling awkwardly at Hariharan.

(Ahem ahem, nothing dude, Harshi said she has lost something so helping her find it.)

"Then I will also help, what did she lose?" Hariharan asked him as he got on his knees to search.

"Ask her itself, Mom is calling me." Vikram walked out fast with his ears red in embarrassment. Hari looked at Harshitha, who had a smirk on her face.

"Anna, why are we siblings are always so cute?" Harshitha imitated Vihana's tone, patting her brother on his head.

"Huh?" Hari looked at his sister weirdly, standing up.

Before Harshitha would reply, Vihana interrupted her.

"Anna onum illa, niga killa ponga, naaga ready aganum." Vihana replied, earning a glare from Hari and an amused look from harshitha.

(Nothing brother, you go down, we have to freshen up.)

"Ama 'ANNA' naaga ready aganum, you go down we will come soon," Harshitha replied, mainly stressing the word anna. Her brother's reaction was worth watching as he still glared at vihana for her choice of words and left the room angrily.

(Yes 'Brother' We have to get ready, you go down we will come soon.)

After locking the door, Harshitha turned around to find Vihana nowhere in sight.

The girls ate their brunch at twelve as Patti lectured them how one should wake up before six and have breakfast at eight, and she started telling them the same story about how she and her friends at their age was.

"Kannama, I'm not asking both of you to help with the house chores or something. I'm just telling you to have your food on time. We have the boys to help us with these works, huh?" Lakshmi said, standing behind them and rubbing their head gently with a smile on her face.

(Kannamma - endearment for girls)

Harshitha and Vihana are so precious to them. They both are like the precious gems of the family. They don't know how they will endure their absence after they get married and go to their in-law's home.

'If only they know.' the writer thought, smiling mysteriously.

Vihana washed her plates and turned around, almost getting a heart attack seeing Hari standing behind her with his arms crossed across his chest.

"Omg! for a second I got scared Broth-" She stopped midway, almost telling that word. She smiled nervously, rubbing her nape with an apologetic face.

"Sollu, solli tha paren." Hari walked forward, vihana quickly backed away, her heart pounding at the intensity of his eyes.

(Tell, I dare you to tell)

Soon she realized that only two of them were there in the backyard with her back against the pillar.

Hari looked down at her as she hid her blushing face from him, His hand raised her chin gently, her face is red from blushing, her teeth biting her bottom lip and her beautiful brown eyes looking at him nervously.

"Oii, ipa sollu naa yaru unaku?" He asked softly, trying not to kiss her cheeks that were so bright pink from all the blushing.

"Ahem, Viha irukiya?" They moved away as Harshitha walked towards them with a knowing look on her face.

(Ahem, are you there Viha?)

"Oh, ANNA you are here, dad is calling you." She exclaimed, stressing the word anna again making vihana blush another shade of pink.

"Oh, then I will be going," Hari replied, hurrying out of the backyard.

"Why are you siblings are always so cute?" Harshitha teased, bumping her shoulder with Vihana. Vihana ran inside red-faced but with a huge smile on her face.

'Oh lord! she will have fun teasing these two from now on.' Harshitha thought, rubbing her palms with an evil smile.
