Harshitha's Pov:
Vikram opened the passenger door and offered me his hand like always.
Getting down from the car, I tiptoed and gave a peck on his cheeks. "Thank you, Mr. Vikram."
"My pleasure, Ms. Harshitha." He chuckled, throwing his arms around my shoulder.
The twigs crunched under our feet as we walked through the field with the soft breeze caressing our skin. In the dark, the soft glow of the moon guided us. The night was so calm and serene that the only sounds heard were the bumbling of bees and the light echo of our footsteps.
I gasped as the scene before me was so glorious that I stopped at my steps. This place still astonishes me with its beauty. I remember the first time Vikram brought me to this place. I was at loss for words that I didn't believe a place like this existed in our native place. From then, it became our place. A place that witnessed and will witness all our happy memories.
Under the midnight blue canvas with a splatter of stars, A lake, calm and transparent, laid in the middle of the meadow field, with the moon shining on its glassy surface. The trees stood tall around the lake, and the leaves appeared to come alive twisting, turning, and dancing to the summer breeze.
I walked towards the lake, removing my footwear at the lakeside. I scrunched my face as the crisp grass pricked my bare feet. As soon as I immersed my feet in the lake, the small fishes nibbled my bare feet, causing me to giggle. The water was so clean that I saw the pebbles and fish in there.
"Are you going to stand there till we leave?" Vikram's chuckle broke me from my trace. I looked back to see him already seated on the meadow.
"2 minutes," I replied, folding my pants above my calf, moving a little forward so that the water was till my calf. I happily wiggled my toes, causing the fish to swim away from me.
"Oi! inga vaa di," Vikram whined, patting his lap. (Oi! Come here)
"Coming, will not let a girl enjoy! will you?" I laughed, shaking my head.
Taking a handful of the lake water, I splashed it on my face. Feeling refreshed, I walked out of the lake, wiping my face in my dupatta.
As soon as I neared him, I plopped down on his lap heavily, earning a groan from him.
"Ouch!! Women, Be gentle! you will damage our future children." He grumbled but mumbled the last sentence under his breath.
"What?" I laughed out loud but shrieked as he started tickling my waist.
"Vi stop! Sorry, I should not have plopped on you like that." I squealed, trying to get away from him, but I can't even move an inch in his tight grip.

After a few minutes of laughing and bickering, we sat on the grass, admiring the glorious luster of the water, with me sitting between his legs and my back against his hard chest.
"This night can't be any more beautiful. you in my arms under the starry night sky." Vikram sighed, pulling me on his lap.
"Is sir in a romantic mood?" I chuckled, putting my arms on top of his arms that were around my waist.
"Who will not be romantic mood if they have a girl like you in their lap." He teased, nuzzling his nose on my neck.
I giggled, leaning on his shoulder.
"Give me your hand!" I asked, opening my wallet, taking out the present I got for him with my hard-earned money. Though I have my saving that our family gave over the years at every festival, I want to gift him with the money I earned. So, I got them by writing records for my seniors. I know it's wrong to do, but the pay was good.
"Happy anniversary Vikram." I grinned, wrapping the watch around his wrist. The silver titan watch wrapped around his wrist snuggly contrasted against his tan skin.
The body of the watch was in metallic silver except for the dial which was in half white. It was a couple-watch but someone the shop owner knew bought the female watch so I bought the men's one alone.
"Do you like it?" I asked, looking at him eagerly to see whether he liked it or not. Instead of answering, he kept starting the watch, suddenly he hugged me and laughed, kissing my cheeks continuously.
"Baby, I love it, and A very happy anniversary." He whispered against my cheek, still laughing.
"Then why are you laughing.?" I pouted, sitting down on the meadow with a huff.
"Oh baby, close your eyes and don't kill me."
"What did you do?" I narrowed my eyes at him but closed my eyes as he said.
I heard some shuffling sound and felt him wrapping something cold around my wrist.
"Open your eyes." I gasped looking at the watch identical to his but in a small size wrapped around my wrist.
"World of titan, Rs Puram road." We both said at the same time, sighing out loud.
There is nothing wrong with wearing a couple-watch, but we both can't wear it at the same time. We can only wear this when we were alone, and that happens only once in a million years. Many thinks dating a cousin is easy, it is damn tough. Surely, we will get time to spend all our holidays together but not alone, with a bunch of cousins surrounding us all day.
"What to do now?" I asked, looking at our hands.
"You wear it. It's so beautiful on your hand," Vikram asked, laying his head on my lap, kissing my wrist softly.

"But-." I looked at his hand longingly, but he shushed me, placing his finger on my lips.
"I will wear it after we get married." He promised, drawing patterns on my hand.
"Adu epo?" I signed sadly, placing a kiss between his brows.
(When is that?)
"After your birthday, is that okay with you?" He asked, raising his brows.
"Huh?" I looked at him confused.
"Apo venama? seri vaa apo ipaveh kalyanam pannikalm." He said with a serious face, getting up from my lap. (Not okay? then come we will get married now)
"Vikram, what the hell are you speaking.?" I laughed, looking at him amusingly.
"I'm just kidding. I will wear it for college, okay and I think Hari is suspicious about us, so I'm planning on telling him about us before he finds out. what do you say?" He asked, getting up from the grass.
"Yeah, I feel so guilty hiding about us for 4 years," I stated, looking at the watch to see it's almost 9:30.
"Should we have to go?" I mumbled, pouting at him.
"Come on darling, your brother will kill me if we don't go home before 10." Chuckling, he offered me his hand.
I feasted my eyes one last time on the lake's stunning beauty and made my way to the car.

.
"Yes ma, yeah it was there...hmm"
...............
"No need for that"
........
"Near the temple entrance"
............
"We are on the way"
...
"Okay bye!" I breathed, hanging up my Amma's call.
"What she said?" Vikram asked as we neared our car.
"She said If we want, she shall send either father or uncle for help, I refused, saying we found the chain and we are on our way home." I conveyed, leaning against his shoulder.
My phone vibrated in my hands indicating an incoming call, it's from Arjun. I declined it but he kept on calling. Cursing him under my breath, I blocked his number and put it inside my wallet.
"What happened?" Vikram asked, opening the passenger door for me.
"That Arjun keeps on calling me." I looked up at him, leaning against the car.
"Give me the phone, He won't learn in a good way." He asked, looking pissed.
"Just ignore him Vikram 'Dushtanai Kandal Thoora Vilagu' Didn't you learn it in your Tamil class? what were you doing at that time?" I asked playfully, circling my arms around his neck.
(Keep yourself away from the evil) (here evil also refer to a person who think of causing a problem to you or who have evil intentions towards you)
"You could say I was busy at that time." He replied, lifting me off the ground as if I weigh nothing, now we are eye to eye level.
"Ahaan, can you tell me what was 'that important work' that made you busy." I giggled, emphasizing the word important, causing him to chuckle.
"Well, I was busy wooing the most beautiful girl in my world."
"Ahaan, do I know her?" I asked, playing along with him.
"Mmhmm, you would know her, her big sparkly eyes that speak a million words, the cute nose that urges me to rub it every time I see, and those pink lips--." He answered, rubbing my nose with his nose.
"Ok enough, it's so cliche." I stopped him, hiding my blushing face in his neck.
"Hey, is describing my girlfriend seems cliche to you?" He protested, tightening his arms around me.
"Did you succeed?" Instead of answering his question, I asked, raising my eyebrows.
"Hmm." He nodded, cupping my face gently with his right hand. He leaned in, brushing his warm lip against my cheeks ever so lightly, the light touch sending a shiver down my spine, Shivers that made my whole body tingle.
"How do you know that?" I breathed, caressing his neck with my fingertips that I knew he loves when I do this.
"Well! if not, she will not be in my arms now." He whispered, looking directly into my eyes. There was the raw emotion in the way his eyes looked into mine, the same look he had when he first confessed his love to me.
My heart skipped a beat as he leaned down, his hot breath mingling with mine. I felt breathless as his eyes looked deep into mine, I inhaled, but all I smelt was him.
I closed my eyes as his lips met mine, waves of warmth engulfed me making my toes curl. His arms tightened around me as I moved my lips against his warm one, pulling him closer by his collar.
We kissed softly taking our time smiling in-between and teasing each other. Like a bird sucking the nectar from the flower, he sucked my lower lips softly, making my knees buckle. We broke apart breathing hard with a bright smile on our faces.
"1460 days and 16 hours." He breathed, nuzzling my neck.
"And 20 mins," I whispered, looking at my watch.
"Together forever," We both said at the same time, hugging each other tightly.
As we stood tightly wrapped in each other arms, our heartbeats syncing, his forehead on mine with a smile on our lips.
"I love you, maama." I confessed, pecking his lips.
"I love you di pondatti." He confessed, kissing my top of the head. (I love you wifey)
