《Prison Mate》•38- I Notice You•

Luke brings back a couple bags an hour later. I smash my head, wondering why he got so much. All I needed were the essentials.
He hands me one of the bags and urges me to open it like a kid on Christmas. I happily open it, find a cute reddish-brown dress that goes down to my mid thigh. It is great for the cold season, especially since the from doors are always opening. The next thing I pull out is light violet lingerie, I raise an eyebrow, trying not to laugh. Luke gives me a cheeky smile, trying to hide his flushed face.
I continue on, not wanting his to get too embarrassed. The next thing I pull out is pink high pumps, they didn't match the dress, but they were so pretty that I couldn't resist. "Thank you so much!" I say, giving Luke a hug.
He lets out a laugh, "Don't forget about the second bag," he says pointing to the other one. I jump over to the bag and curiously open it to find a backpack that looked almost identical to my old one that got washed away. I bring it up to my heart and hold it close, I can't believe he went the extra way and got me this.
For one last time, I stick my hand in the bag and pull out a cozy pink hoodie. The front of it read 'I'm a cat' and the hood has ears. "So me," I laugh, smiling as I put everything back into one bag. "Thank you so much Luke, I probably would had a mental breakdown if you didn't help," I say, picking up the bag to go changed.
Luke rolls his eyes, "O' course I had to, now get on with it," he says since the customers were starting come in quickly. I nod, rushing off to the bathroom to change into my new, amazing cloths.
After a couple minutes I exit the bathroom and get on wth my work, running around the establishment to bring everybody their drinks, taken their orders, and deal with their hissy fits.
I walk up to the customer before my dinner break begins. Yes, dinner break, Luke wanted to take me out as friends. We did this once in awhile, I felt bad because he always ended up paying. I think it's because he knew my situation and would feel bad if I paid, even though I want to.

This man was around his 30's and not bad looking. "Hello sir, what can I get for you?" I ask him, taking out my notepad to take his order.
He examines me from head to toe, smirking a bit. I was used to this, some people can just be so creepy. "A water along with a home style salad please," he says, smiling. I nod, writing down some scribbles the cook could apparently read.
I turn away, but I feel myself being pulled back. I turn around and frown at the guy, not liking the fact I was being touched without my permission. If anything, it's just plain rude and inconsiderate unless you know the person.
"May I talk to you outside missy?" he asks quietly. His grip on my arm tightened a bit. "I'll give you an extra tip," he bribes me.
I pull myself away from him, "Let me go give this to the cook sir," I say, rushing to toss the paper into the kitchen before returning.
We exit and stand beside the entrance, I refused to go any further. He said outside, this is outside. I've had my fair share of stupidness, this being one of them, but money is money.
"You're a young, pretty girl, you could be making lots of money," the man says, pulling out a pack of Usa Golds. He lights up a cigarette, "You want to know how?" he asks, taking in the wretched smoke. I knew Ace smoked, but never when I was around. Hell, when he smelt my scent in the prison I smelt like cigarettes to him because he likes them so much.
I shrug, "And how?" I ask, not really knowing what he was trying to get at. My eyes wandered down the quiet street, the road was filled with potholes and such.
He smirks, "Come work for me, you could make a thousand a week," he tells me, pulling out his wallet to show his wads of hundreds.
My eyes twinkle, so much money, I wonder how he makes it. "But what's the job?" I ask him, I didn't want to do some gang type of stuff. Even in the modern era werewolf gangs still exist, but they don't play as big as a part as they used to.
He finishes his cigarette quickly and tosses the butt onto the ground, not bothering to step on it. "All you gotta do is be a pretty lady and do a little dance," he vaguely says.

My mind tries to process what he was saying. Look pretty and dance? Like stripping? Oh hell no. I take a step away from him, "No thank you, I'm good sir," I smile, trying to get around him so I could take my break.
He grabs my arm quickly, "Don't be so hasty doll, you could make even double that by playing a little game," he smirks, his eyes holding mischief as he pulled out another cigarette.
I cringed, trying to pull my arm away from him, "No thank you," I say, clenching my teeth. I knew what he was getting at and I refuse to do such a horrid thing. Plus, I still had my mark from Ace, it just wasn't visible anymore since we have been apart for awhile. Doing prostitution would get me killed, that's why only mateless woman do it.
He holds onto the arm tightly and I stay still, not exactly knowing what to do. "Get the fuck outta here," Luke growls from the door. I didn't here the bell jingle when it opens usually. I look up at him, my eyes shining. Unlike me, Luke is actually strong.
The man grumbles and lets me go after a bit. "Just find me if you want the job," he says in a low voice before walking away. He didn't even bother paying or even eating his meal, not that I minded.
I rush up to Luke and give him a quick hug. "Thank you Luke!" I smile widely.
He looks down at me and shakes his head, "You're welcome, now lets go eat, my mate is waiting," he says, going back inside with me following close behind. I enjoyed eating out with Luke because his mate is very nice to me. The two of the are so in love, I almost want to cringe.

"See yah Charity!" Luke shouts as I walk out the door, "dinner was fun!"
I wave bye at him, "Yup," I agree, leaving to get home before too late. It was already dark, but I have a bedtime set so I can wake up okay. I also know I'm going to be sleeping in mud tonight because it rained again at dinner. The luck I'm having today is just great.
I walk down the silent street, staring at my feet as only a couple strangers walk past me. One being a kid who was probably sneaking out and the other a prostitute probably working for that creepy guy. I wish he would get hit by a car magically, or not magically, either works.
"P-please!" I hear somebody scream from a nearby alleyway. The voice struck me as very familiar, and no, it wasn't Olivia's. I didn't want to go investigate, but I at leas wanted to listen. "I didn't mean it! Swear on my-"
The man was cut off by a loud slap that ringed through the night sky. I flinched, knowing there might've been a broken jaw from the sound of it. I tip toe to the next building over, knowing I could overhear them from this distance.
"Oh sorry won't help you when I rip every piece of you from your body and gift it to those prostitutes of yours," Ace growls. I suddenly realize the other man was the creepy guy from earlier. I gasp, covering my mouth quickly so I couldn't be heard. I continue to listen, wondering why Ace was butchering the guy.
I hear a lot cry, "I didn't know show was your mate, for all I knew her name was Charity, not Lillian!" the guy shouts, probably trying to get somebody's attention. But nobody was nearby except me, and I wasn't going to help him. If he wants out, he's going to have to get it himself.
Ace snarls, "I don't give a fuck, you asked my mate to be a prostitute. Some other bitch had to come to the rescue just because she doesn't want to see me!" Ace says, throwing a punch at the guy. I could hear his face crack.
I turn away from the scene, leaving before Ace could smell me. I put the hood over my head and ran as fast as I could with these pumps on. I could hardly believe what I had just heard, Ace was obviously there when the guy asked me to be a prostitute, so is he stalking me?
My wolf howled in joy, happy that her mate was still around. That'd explain why I'm still alive, but barely. I wonder if he will ever decide to show himself, or just watch from the shadow for the rest of his life.
