《Prison Mate》•3- Excitement For The Wrong Reasons•

Alpha William stood tall in front of the combined class, no sign of happiness could be seen. One thing I did notice is that he was a bit tired, the bags under his makeup covered eyes was obvious. Today I was going to be extra observant, I even brought a brand new notebook to note everything odd. The first one was right in front of me.

1- Odd Alpha behavior. Does not seem like ordinary self.

"Welcome children, your teacher have already told you the rules and such. So, there's nothing holding us back from going through these gates," he states, pointing to the extremely heavy 3 door entry.

2- All gates are wide open and we aren't even in yet. Newspapers never said all gates are opened at the same time for security reasons.

"Now follow me, and be orderly. We don't need any trouble makers," he says, motioning for us to follow him. We did, me and Darien in the middle. I didn't want them to get suspicious of me and my constant notes.

I looked around, awhile ago I read an article stating that there were only 200 guards stationed at this prison. Wrong.

3- Over 300 guards. Media lies.

As we entered the main prison building my heart started to beat faster. I was getting more excited than I had planned. I was also a bit scared, but also... I can't figure out this other feeling. I'll stick it to an unknown fear. But it doesn't feel bad.

"Okay kids, welcome to the Alpha High Security Prison," a deep, old voice speaks up. I try and jump up to see who it is, but Darien ended up giving me a piggy back ride. He was already tall enough to see above everybody else. I just stood out like a sore thumb while on his back.

"I hope you enjoy the tour. Now let's get going," the old warden says, taking the lead. Our Alpha standing tall next to him.

The halls were white and boring, everything looking exactly the same.

4- Maze-like prison. Everything looks same.

I was taking note of everything that stuck out to me and possibly not other people. I was planning to show Greta and Darien this later, to see if they also saw what I saw.

"As you may not know there is no prisoner mess hall here," the warden speaks up. "The prisoners always stay in their cells. No nothing, not even if they die. One of the prisoners had a dead body in his cell for his whole first year because of that rule," he snickered. I frowned, after a month a body is obviously dead. It's pretty sadistic to leave the body rot with the new prisoner, but I guess they deserve all the bad things in life.

5- Sadistic Warden.

Sweet and simple. That's what I'm trying to stick with so it doesn't look obvious.

We walked, well I rode, for another ten minutes before we reached an open area full of cell doors. "This is the lowest level of security in this prison." There was a guard by each door, even a couple grey wolves pacing around. Rumor has it that the darker your fur is, the stronger you are. White wolves aren't known for their strength, just beauty. Mine was in the middle somewhere.

"There are currently 12 prisoners in here. All there crimes include killing between five to ten werewolves," the warden says while glaring at all of the cells. Who wouldn't just want to give these worthless bodies of flesh a death glare? I wonder why they kept them alive? I wish I could write a note, but no, there was nothing that was too odd.

The warden talked for another ten minutes before we moved to the Middle Security section. Two guards by each door, holding a loaded gun with silver bullets. They killed ten plus werewolves, disgusting beyond words.

But I was still excited. My heart bested fast, and I was breathing heavy. I put my hand over my heart, begging it to slow down. Maybe I should walk. I get off Darian's back and he looks down at me with slightly worry. He hears my heartbeat. I smile lightly, showing him I'm okay, but I knew he didn't believe it.

The next level security was the highest, and only held one prisoner. The most feared man in the history of time, Ace. Nobody knew his backstory or last name, but rumor had it that he was hot, but that doesn't mean anything when you murder people.

My inner wolf began to wag her tail as we approached his window cell. It was a very large cells, but he had at least six silver chains on him. One on his neck, both arms, waist, and legs. They made sure he couldn't escape, which was good.

When we approached his cell he was looking down. I didn't pay anymore attention to the warden, he was spewing nonsense at this point. Everybody already knew everything he was talking about, or they should. We learned that shit in school.

I take a good look at him, inhaling an odd peppermint smell. I paused and looked closer, noticing something was missing from Ace's face that every other prisoner had- no wait, none of them had it on today. It was mandatory.

6- No prison muzzles. Odd.

I shoot my hand up into the air and people give me odd looks. The Warden looks at me then the Alpha, who nods, telling me to ask what I'm wanting to ask.

"Warden, its mandatory for every prisoner in this prison to have a muzzle. There's no doubt about it. So why did they come off on the day all the seniors came to this prison-" I pause. "Excuse me, never mind," I say a bit quieter.

"They get fresh air once in awhile," the warden says, staring at me, tapping his foot. Lies.

7- Warden lies about muzzles.

I nodded, taking his answer, knowing it was a lie. He announced a minute later that we were allowed to look for another ten minutes. He made sure everybody got up close.

I was the last row to get a close look and I looked at the man only four years older then me. He held no expression as he looked at the floor. I nose peeked up once I smelt the peppermint smell once more, I shut my eyes before opening them wide. I look back down and breath heavily, how did he have cologne? Unless...

My internal organs began to twist as I froze in fear. He couldn't be my mate, no, he didn't even look at me. No noise, no glance, no nothing.

"Staring isn't polite," a dark, deep voice says within the cell, laughing at the end. Gasps could be heard as he looked up, his eyes being mostly white, with only black pupils. They removed the colour from your eyes when you came here, so if you ever escaped, you could easily get caught. Contacts were banned objects so they couldn't turn to those either.

The warden stepped in front of me and Darian. "Look who woke up," he said, his voice not holding any fear. "How long has it been since you've spoken, about... a year."

Ace smiles crookedly, "Old bags aren't worth talking to," he smirks, his dimples showing. I overheard some girls fan-girling over him. They seem to forgot that he killed thousands of innocent werewolves. Looks mean absolutely nothing!

The Warden grits his teeth, "Okay freak show," he says.

8- Odd treatment of Ace.

Ace glances up and notices my notebook and my quick note, but he doesn't do anything, but turn back to the warden. "Let me guess, they don't know this is all to find the prisoner's mates, especially mine," he snickers and we gasp. There's been a lot of gasping today, but there's been a lot of gasp worthy moments happening.

That make sense, the muzzles stopped their smell sense, so they could now smell their mates. Actually, the school slut, Adrianna found her mate. You could see her eyes flash. I look behind me at the fourth students, not one being her.

9- No muzzles to find prison mates.

10- Missing Adrianna when found her mate here.

"What the hell is this?" my Alpha says, taking the notebook out of my hands. I freeze up, but luckily I am spoken up for by a softer voice.

"Class notes, for all she knows there's might be a surprise quiz later," Darian says, slipping the notebooks out of our Alpha's hands. He opened it and said stuff that wasn't there. "Three security levels. How many prisoners in each level and total. Top security only contains Ace," he finishes off by closing the book.

I let out a breathe as the book is handed back to me. I thought I was about to have a panic attack. "Fair enough, continue warden."

The warden nods, turning back to Ace, who held a bored look. "Ha, likewise, why would the moon goddess give you a mate?" he sneers.

Ace shrugs looks back at the ground. "Guess he went hostile again. He does that when he looses interest," the warden says, taking glances at Ace, who looked the same when we first got here. "Okay kiddos, time to go back to school," he smiles while the most of us groan.

Darian was about to be the first to leave, but I pulled him back till we were last. "What's wrong Lillian?" he asks, sounding a bit worried.

"Lillian," I heard a click off somebody's tongue.
