《Prison Mate》•1- School Trip•

I woke up with a small yawn as I stretched my arms wide. My alarm was going off at six in the morning. Normally I would wake up at seven, but I ditched some homework last night that needed to be done. I wasn't a bad kid and I wasn't planning on letting my grades slip anytime soon.
I take out my heavy blue and black binder and begin to do my AP class's homework. Ten pages in an hour is pretty good, considering most of them consist of sloppy cursive. If the teachers couldn't read it, then that's there problem they didn't learn to read cursive. But just my opinion. I didn't always think like that, I'm usually positive in my own way.
Past that, I get up and look at my in my full body mirror. I didn't look too bad, nothing some makeup and cloths wouldn't fix up in a minute. A few small, red bugs bites were visible, which did bug me since they inched like hell.
I got out my large makeup bag and put on the normal concealer, powder, eyeliner and mascara. The simple of the simplest for me, anything below that I wouldn't accept. I've been doing makeup for a couple years, so I was pretty good for what I knew how to do.
I changed into a pale teal shirt, light jeans, pink converse, and let's not forget the lace underwear and bra. Even though nobody (except my friends) would see it, it made me feel sexier. It's one of those just because things.
Amy phone rang just as I took a step out the door, the ringtone was the one I had set for one of my best friends, Darian. My other best friend was Greta.
I answer the phone and plop onto my bed, not caring about breakfast anymore. Darian always called me, and I answered every time. He is a bit suicidal, and everyday I searched his body for cuts- just to make sure. Sometimes he thinks I'm over protective, but I just don't want him to hurt himself. It's not worth it!

"Hello?" I answer, tapping my phone case with my index finger.
It was quiet for a second before he spoke up, "Can I come over and walk with you to school today?" he asks shyly. I may have forgotten to mention he was the cute and adorable guy at school that hung out with the two looser chicks, just because we have known him forever. Some things in life just work out the good way.
I smile, "Of course," I reply.
I could practically hear him smile at my response. If Greta couldn't walk with him to school he called me. "Oh thank you, thank you! I'll be over soon, cya," he says, hanging up the call.
I roll my eyes, he never let me say goodbye most of the time because he got hyped up about something.
It'd take him a few minutes to get to my house, so I decided to go snack on something while I waited for him. I grabbed my backpack and went to the kitchen, which was okay, kind of outdated. Still works, and that's all that matters.
I bite my lip as I get myself a peanut butter and syrup sandwich. My family thought it was the most disgusting thing ever, but they are so wrong. It's like my baby. I hate jelly, it's just so... mushy.
The doorbell rings as I'm taking my last bite of 'breakfast'. I run into the living room open the door to see Darian in his everyday oversized hoodie and jeans. I don't know how he found hoodies that big, he was already six foot at 18.
"Welcome my good sir," I say, smiling at him.
He looks down at me and shakes his head, "Shall we go Milady?" he mocks back, holding my bag out.
I nod, "We shall," I say as we took a step outside, locking the door behind us.
The sky was a clouded over heavily, indicating it might rain later. I love rain, but carrying my school books on the rain can cost me almost one hundred bucks. My school is such a rip-off that if there is one page ripped in the book you have to pay for a new one. They need an accident budget because high schoolers have no money, and are dumb.

The wall to school was quick and void of rain, thankfully. Me and Darian split up at the front of the school, as I have to go to the North Wing, and he had to go to the South. It sucked, but at least we had the same lunch period.
I headed directly to class, not bothering g to put my backpack in my locker. They finally let us walk around with them after kids were ten minutes late to class last year. Though I doubt backpacks were the cause of that.
I sat down in the back of the classroom, where I was assigned. It sucked since I had to wear my glasses to see. I swear I looked like such a nerd, and not the cute type with them on.
Only two other kids were in the class, and I knew it'd be another fifteen minutes before all the others arrived, including the late kids.
Fifteen minutes passed by and most kids were in class by then. Another five and the teacher showed up, I don't even know I bothered to come early, he is always late. Teachers are suppose to be examples, but he told some kid the other day to just get Welfare and he will be good. I honestly hate this place, but what kid doesn't?
"Okay kids, there's no lesson today, because the Alpha has an announcement for all of you," he says, heading over to his computer to turn on the projector. Probably to show us a pre-recorded video our Alpha sent us.
I belonged to the Autumn Pack, our alpha is Alpha William Fiery, and soon his son, Derek Fiery. Everybody in the pack had tan, brown and sometimes a mix of black fur from interbreeding between packs. Except mine, my wolf was a pure coco colour and everybody seemed to love it. Just one straight colour with no mix to it due to the fact that all of my ancestors only had mates in the pack, aka, no interbreeding to mix my fur colour.
Anyways, back to class. My teacher clicked around, mumbling a few curse words as the video didn't play the first time. Finally, he was able to fingers it out and the lights turned off as Alpha William appeared in the screen.
"Hello packs members of the high school. Today, I have an important message for you all," he had a serious look on his face, which was odd. Usually he was a relaxed Alpha that let things fly by. "You're all going on a field trip to the Alpha Security Prison. The strongest prison in the werewolf world, holding the infamous Ace."
People around the room gasped, as I just focused on my Alpha, my eyes glazing over. Why was he going this? No sane Alpha would. The prison wasn't even in our territory.
"But that is only if your parents agree to sign a ten page permission slip for. This is for educational reasons only, not to scare you into submission. Thank you, can't wait to see you there," he said as the screen faded.
Kids began to imminently whisper, talking about how cool or scary it was going to be. I personally wanted to go, but I wasn't so sure if my parents would agree to it. After all, a lot of their siblings were killed by Ace, and a few others being held there. But don't knock it till you try it, or in this case, ask it.

God complex
A hero is summoned to another world, vanquishes evil, yadda yadda, saves the kingdom and lives happily ever after. There is no such hero in this story. Just a desperate youth with great ambition and very little to lose. A zero to hero style story set in a country clearly inspired by modern USA with just as many issues and the minority of mages often pulling strings from the shadows. I am also hoping the whole thing won't turn out edgy enough to cut me. I want to rely on actual good writing rather than cheap powertrip gimmicks. edit: Please don't mind Zetari's salty review. He is quite literally making up any use of the torture and human experimentation trope and says MC is blank after 4 chapters where he conveniently stops reading just at the start of his first character development. For extra entertainment, I will be uploading chapters two at a time and compose a relevant poem through the chapter names. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Scenario 66
Silven isn’t too happy when he stops to consider his miraculous prison escape, a guiding voice on the air and the herd of terrifying black knights hunting him down and realises he may be important. Equally, he’s not going to be too happy when he learns he’s nothing more than a character in a video game in chapter 3.8. There’s just no pleasing some people. But by the time of this realisation, Silven is all-powerful and all-arrogant, with a couple of game-breaking businesses under his belt. And when he finally understands he has been meddling with the very fabric of his own reality, the damage may already have been done. This fiction contains: * Approx. 4,342,213 video game tropes, mechanics and cliches * Very light levelling and business development (but no tables. Other than the one on the cover). * A rather acquired taste in dry, sarcastic humour. * 0 dragons. Why no dragons, man? Chapters will be released EVERY DAY, in order to sufficiently punish you for all the bad things you've done in life.
