As we walk past the bus station, I stare down at the love of my life, trying not to imagine living without her. "I'm gonna run ahead and let the guards and pack know you will be arriving" Peter says, sensing that me and Everly need alone time

Me and Everly both nod and tell him we will see him soon. "Are you okay?" I ask for the hundredth time as soon as Peter leaves

She nods slowly "I can't believe that all happened"

"I know...are you sure you just want to leave them there?" I ask still wanting to go back and punish them

"I'm sure...my father has punished them in the harshest way I know...I'm glad it's over." She says and I nod "I can't believe I met my dad" Everly says more-so to herself

"What was it like?" I ask still trying to unreal from what all happened

"Crazy....but amazing. I've never felt more powerful" she tells me "he told me he had been watching over me and knows the hardship I had gone through. He hoped when I learned what I was that I would be grateful and worshiped but he understood what my life would be like if he didn't make you my true mate....He knew how much I love you" she says and hugs me tightly

"I love you more than anything Everly, even before-" I pause "I love you, you believe me right? The moment I met you-" she cuts me off

"I know Maddox...." she trails off for a moment "I feel like I have to tell you, your true mate died a little while before you met me...that's why you were able to fall in love with me" she says and looks away, afraid of my reaction

I nod "no matter what it's only you now" I tell her. I suppose I should be sad that the mate I had died but I can't imagine being with anyone but Everly. She's everything I want and need...Everly is my true mate. I pause a moment "why didn't you tell me...that you were the black female wolf?" I ask stopping in the woods and looking at her turn down grey eyes

"I had been told my whole life to hid it from everyone and even if I wanted to tell people I was told it was a bad thing...that it made me the weak link. I was embarrassed at first but when I found out about the prophecy I thought you only loved me because of what I was" she tells me honestly

I hug her to my chest and her touch shoots electricity down my body "may I see?" I ask slowly, praying I can control myself.

She smiles and nods quickly. She backs out of my reach and I feel colder without her but I allow the distance. She smiles and hides behind a tree as she takes off her clothes, I smirk and fight the urge to peak. A moment later the most beautiful wolf I have ever seen walks out behind the bark.

I feel the overwhelming need to bow, I lower to my knees- unable to take my eyes off of her. Her fur is black as night, it reflects the light of the sun and flows down her body like silk. On her back is grey fur in the shape of a crescent moon. Her eyes glow as bright as stars as they look at me. "Everly" I say breathlessly. She walks towards me, her body is strong and large, each muscle contracts as she stands next to me. She rubs her large head against mine and I smile and run my fingers through her soft hair. I place my hands on her furry cheeks and peer into her eyes "you are beautiful" I tell her and a glint of happiness sparkles in them

"Shall we?" I hear her in my head and my eyes widened

"You linked with the pack?" I question out loud and her head nods

"And with you, the moon god made it so we are already mated, it was the best way to hid my scent and protect me from other alphas...you're the only one who will ever have me" her voice is so soft in my head it runs a shiver down my spine. I can't help but quietly thank her father again for giving me the greatest gift of all

"Let's get you home so we can make this mate thing official" I whisper huskily and she turns around giddily while I laugh and shift next to her, our bodies almost the same size. She winks at me and takes off, I chase after her being the happiest I have ever been. After going through this I know nothing will ever tear us apart...I'd follow her to the end of the world.

three months later

"Babe we are gonna be late!" I yell up the stairs

"Sorry! I'm coming" I hear her sweet voice call out and I smile tucking the dress shirt back in that keeps coming out of my pants

As I do so I hear heels clanking against the stair case. I look up to see Everly in a shimmering white dress coming down just above her knees. The white material is gemmed in lace and each thread shines under the light. A big smile is on her painted red lips as she fixes the dangling earring in her ear. Her grey hair is curled on her shoulders and I don't think I've ever seen her look more beautiful.

"You're going to make us late to your own party" I smirk and wink at her

"I'm kinda nervous" she tells me truthfully and blushes

"Don't be, you'll be great" my finger move to her chin to tilt her eyes to me

"This is the same pack that hated me and thought I was weak a a few months ago" she reminds me

My eyebrows furrow and I frown "you know I have made sure no one thinks that anymore" I growl at the thought of anyone thinking Everly is anything less than amazing

She kisses my cheek and then wipes the lipstick off my skin "can't believe I'm going from weak link to Luna" she says and a hint of a proud smile tugs at her lips

I instantly smile at that word "yes my Luna" I hug her to me "now let's go" I hold her hand as we walk out the door

I spot Lena and Peter stepping out of their home beside us, both dressed in their best. Lena waves at us and Everly walks ahead to go say hello. I hear Lena gushing at how beautiful Everly looks and she does the same.

"You ready alpha?" Peter asks me

I look over at my glowing beauty of a mate and smile "More than ready" I nod

Hours go by, speeches were made, congrats were granted, and smiles were held on everyone's face. I talk to one of the council members but my focus is broken when I realize I haven't seen Everly in a minute.

"Sorry excuse me" I tell him and he bows his head

"Of course alpha" he steps away and my eyes scan the room of chattering people, never landing on her. I get a glimpse of the balcony and her grey hair catches my eye.

I let out a sigh of relief that I haven't realize I was holding in. Out here the talking from inside has lessened to a whisper and the music is a soft song quieted by the outside noises. I place my hand on the small of her back and she jumps a little and smiles when she meets my eye. "Hey" she blushes and looks out across the forest, the cool moonlight shadows across the tall pine trees and a breeze causes her to shiver.

"You ok?" I ask

"Yes...I'm great actually" her smiles lets me know she is telling the true. She turns to me "I've never been so happy...everyone is so-"

I cut her off "I told you they would love you" I kiss her forehead

"I'm just not used to it" she blushes and I smirk

She looks back into the party and soon her smile falls and a nervous frown replaces it. I follow her gaze to land on her family, although I refuse to call them that. They haven't spoken since she has been back. We were honest with the pack about the whole story, the thing they had tried to keep from everyone for the past 18 years. Victoria has been around a little, she has been the only one to try to rekindle the relationship.

"I'll tell them to leave" I say and start to walk away from her but she grips my wrist and pulls me back

"Let me talk to them...just for a moment" she pleas and I sigh but nod

We walk over to them, my face remains straight. Victoria hugs her and they talk small talk for a moment while I stare down her father and mother. Victoria walks off promising to be back "Hi" her mother is the first to speak out in the awkward silence

"Hello" Everly says leaning closer to me

"You don't have to do this today"

"I want to, it's time" she says and again I follow along

"How have you been?" Her mother asks

"Fine, thank you" Everly says shifting on her feet

"We are so proud of you honey, a Luna...it's such an honor...no one deserves it more" she tells her and I literally have to forcefully keep my jaw clenched so I don't bash them for the years they held her back. Everly squeezes my hand and I slowly relax.

"Yes...um congratulations to the both of you" her mothers husband says extremely awkwardly and I fight the urge to roll my eyes

More awkward small talks exchange between them. I know Everly wants to leave this all behind her and forgive everyone and move on but I'm having more trouble doing so.

The night goes on with more congratulations and by the end of the party I just want to be in bed with Everly.

We watch the last of the pack walk out of the beautiful venue and Everly lays her head on my chest with heavy eyelids. "You ready?" I ask and she nods.

We walk hand in hand through the pack to our home. "I love you....I'm so happy you came here to be our New Alpha" she says staring up at me, the moon light cascades a grey light over her and I can't help but smile "you saved me" she means this more ways than one

I laugh "no Everly , you saved me...it was a long journey to get here. But without all of that we wouldn't be together...I wish some things-"

"No... things had to happened the way they did."

She hugs my waist tight and I lay my head on hers. The moon light shines brighter and every star twinkles. Everlys skin glows for a moment and she closes her eyes, a small smile on her heart shaped lips. "My father agrees" she finally says and I laugh

"Let's go home my little black wolf, my new Luna" I kiss her head

"Yes Alpha" she giggle and I stare at the one thing I could never lose

That's it! The end. I hope the people who made it to the finish enjoyed! I know a lot of people were upset about no smut but then a lot of people were upset she was 17 throughout most of the book. Sooo that's why I didn't add any because I know if I did I would have gotten even more hate. I really loved writing this book and I'm glad I got to share it with you all!
