《The War Luna》Kidnap

There was no luck in the jeep. Alex attempted several topics of conversation with Kit. She asked him questions about his family, his career, music preferences, hobbies, likes, dislikes, favourite and most hated foods. She received the least amount of detail that could possibly be given and he sighed heavily between each answer, openly displaying his hostility towards her.

'I'm not sure why you're the one acting like a haughty teenager Kit,' Alex was starting to lose her temper with the man now. 'You lied to your Alpha. That's why you're on desk duty. You made your own bed.'

He stared ahead in stony silence.

'I'm happy for you to try and take a swing at me again Kit,' she offered sweetly, 'but we both know how that ended for you the last time.'

Kit's jaw tightened and he took a moment to answer her.

'I was having an off day. You just happened to catch me at my worst Luna. A lucky strike at best'.

'Ha', she snorted, 'You can't even admit that it was a fair fight that I won outright. Pathetic'.

Kit ignored her which only encouraged Alex further.

She turned towards him, ready with more insults, just in time to scream 'Watch out', as a huge black SUV crashed into the driver side of the jeep.

The air bags exploded around them with a noise like a gunshot, as the jeep swerved and then rolled over onto it's roof. Alex's ears were ringing and and she felt a huge amount of pain throughout her entire body. She could feel warm blood on her face and the seatbelt was digging painfully into her shoulder and ribs. She tried to look over to Kit, to assess how injured he was but his body hung limply, held in place by his own seatbelt. He too was bleeding from his head. Alex started to become aware of voices. Many voices. Shouting and ordering. Feet pounded the ground outside the car and she felt a hand grab at her face, turning it outwards.

'She's alive', a middle aged, bearded man shouted.

'What about the driver?' Another voice, gruffer this time, entered the conversation.

'He's a fucking mess but he's breathing', said a third man.

'Alright, get them out and into the van', the gruff voice commanded.

The seatbelt slackened and Alex felt brief relief as she was no longer painfully constricted by it. Rough hands now reached and pulled her from the car. She groaned in pain as she was dragged out of her seat, pulled into a standing position, before being hoisted over someone's shoulder. She tried to protest or to ask who was carrying her but her head was pounding so loudly in her ears that she was finding it hard to stay conscious.

When she was thrown forcefully into the back of a van, she started to get a very bad feeling that these were not people looking to help her and Kit. She tried to focus now and take in more details on what was happening. She slowed her breathing and calmed her mind as best she could. Injuries wise, the blood on her face seemed to be coming from below her eye. There was blood on her ear also, possibly from the impact of the airbag. Otherwise, she felt bruised and sore but she was sure nothing was broken. That, at least was, a relief. If she wasn't too badly injured, she might be able to fight her way out of whatever this situation was. Kit was loaded in almost on top of her. He neither moved nor made a sound but she could hear his heartbeat. Alex took a moment to control her scent, to make sure they thought she was of little threat to them. It took all of her resolve as the concentration required gave her the feeling that her pounding head was on the brink of exploding.

Suddenly there were car doors closing all around her and the van she was lying down in roared into life and started to speed away from the crash site. There were two men in the front of the van. She tried not to move too much or give any sign that she was anything more than a semi-unconscious woman. They drove for at least two hours, as far as she could tell but she could feel herself drifting in and out of consciousness from time to time so it was hard to be sure. From what she could see from her position in the back, they were always surrounded by trees. There were no buildings or unusual noises to give her any indication of where they might be going. The two men remained silent all the time, occasionally humming along to the softly playing radio or pointing out a turn. Alex thought they might be heading southwest of the crash but couldn't be certain. Her head continued to bang relentlessly and it was difficult to keep her eyes open, let alone maintain a clear train of thought as the pain was so excruciating.

Finally, they were slowing and the driver said, 'Here we are Princess'.

Alex sat up, immediately becoming dizzy and disorientated. The door was opened behind her and she felt hands under her arms, dragging her out of the car.

She tried to stand, to take in her surroundings but she fell to her knees.

Someone put a hand under her chin and lifted her head.

'You are a pretty one aren't you Princess? And a new Luna I heard. I'm on the look out for a few Luna's you know. You were very kind to get caught in my trap. But I don't see a mark,' the man turned her head roughly to look at her neck. 'I hope your Alpha takes my call, even though he doesn't seem to have wanted to mark you yet. A pretty thing like you might not last long here with my crew'.

Alex felt her stomach drop and a cold chill run through her body as she heard multiple men laugh sadistically around her. It was the last sound she heard before she felt herself pass into darkness.
