The Monchy family found the events at the banquet ball to be hilarious. Because of how his daughter was treated by the Carlyle royal family, Marquis Henry is more than motivated to support the opposition faction. Henry thought that as a parent he should do his duty to support her daughter's position, even though she is highly desired and protected by Duke Sebastian.

"Hahaha! Have you seen how she put the wench in her place? My little sister is more capable than I expected. Rachel made her look like a fool!".

Luther laughs so hard that a tear came out in his eyes.

"Your sister indeed knows how to brilliantly counterattack the Crown Princess. I am very impressed with her regal behavior".

Henry can't suppress his excitement because he is so proud of her daughter. Lily simply smiled in appreciation of the harmony between the father and son. The two men are laughing in delight as they notice how vibrant their home has become.

The head maid Carole interrupted the Monchy family as they were enjoying a good laugh and asked Lily to have a private talk. As they entered the private salon, Carole used her magic to cast a soundproof shield.

"Marchioness, I have something very important to tell you, but I must ask you to keep it a secret since it concerns the Duchess Astrid's safety." Carole let out a loud sigh while displaying extreme distress on her face.

"Carole is it about the soul of my daughter?". Lily pressed her fingers to her heart as her lips tremble.

The head maid nod while holding the trembling hands of her Mistress, "Yes. She came back Marchioness. Although it's impossible to believe but the real lady is back. I understand you endured it for 15 years, but you still love that child despite the fact that soul was never your daughter."

"Oh Carole. You always knew but never told me because you only wanted to make me feel better. My sweet Rachel was taken away from us. I can't imagine what she went through living in the other world." Lily sobbed so hard that her heart was aching with agony.

"Worry not, Marchioness. She was well taken care in that world. Her soul is intact, but I believe her core might have been damaged".

"What does it mean, Carole?"

"Her Solar Plexus is severely broken due to a physical and spiritual trauma. The Dark Wizard must have destroyed her core to transport her soul in the lower dimension".

Carole trembled in sorrow and anger as she imagined how much pain little Rachel must have suffered.

Lily tried to stop herself from screaming by covering her mouth, but a wrenching sob could be heard.

"Sob," "Sob," "Sob"

"What have they done to Rachel! Oh Carole! How can we restore her core?"

"Once her memory comes back, her core will be restored. I think it will slowly unveil in time but that's not the issue, our problem right now is her safety against the Master Dark Sorcerer".

Carole's concerned expression can be seen. "He might have already recognized that her original soul is back. The Duchess mana is shining so brightly and beings with powers are drawn to her light. We must act before he can capture her again".

"But she is protected by his Majesty, I don't think the Dark Master is foolish enough to fight with the Guardian".

"Marchioness, I don't think she is safe in the Astrid duchy. Do you remember that the late Duchess was a powerful mage and that the dark sorcerers were her servants? They could have used a powerful form of skin camouflage magic to remain within the Astrid dukedom".

Lily gasp in horror and covered her mouth to control herself from screaming.

"No way! Do you believe the late Duchess was involved in Rachel's abduction?"

Although Carole is hesitant, she must voice her suspicion.

"I have always had my doubts about the late Duchess because she is the only one capable of doing such wicked things".

Lily understood the motive behind the late Duchess's evil deed. Rachel was blessed by the Light Goddess, which is why she was born with an abundance of light mana. As a devoted follower of the Goddess, Lily has prayed to the Goddess for a child who will be as beautiful as the Dragon Goddess in the heavenly realm.

When she was pregnant with Rachel, she had a dream that the Light Goddess sent her granddaughter to the human realm to purify the darkness in this world. In that dream, Princess Goddess Dragon Isis was so furious at her mother, the Light Goddess Dragon, that she sobbed in anguish at the thought that her cherished daughter would be sent to the human realm to fix her parents' mistakes in creating the Guardians.

Isis told Lily in her dream to take good care of her beloved daughter because one day, after the darkness in their realm has been purified, she would return to claim her once more. Lily woke up with a cold sweat and touch her stomach as if afraid that the Goddess Isis would change her mind and take away her baby. If the dream was true, then the late Duchess Astrid might have known about Rachel's light and took it away to preserve their survival.

"Carole, do you remember the dream I told you when I was pregnant with Rachel? If Rachel was the reincarnated daughter of Goddess Isis, then the late Duchess could have known it and destroyed her core".

A middle dimension known as the Faery realm was home to underground light beings. Any dark entity cannot breach the magnetic light shield that surrounds it. Since Rachel's physical reincarnation vessel prevents her from ascending to the heavenly realm, the Faery realm is her best option for hiding and restoring her core quickly.

But the question is, how can she enter that realm if she is bounded by a powerful Guardian Duke Sebastian Astrid.
