In the southern kingdom, the Marquis house of Monchy received a special guest from the dukedom of Astrid.

"Marquis, Sir Alfred of the highest knight's order of the Astrid dukedom is asking for your presence. He said that he will deliver an important royal invitation".

The whole family is having breakfast and was distracted by a special visitor from the north. The couple's face suddenly became worried of the possible bad news about their exiled daughter Rachel.

According to the last letter they received four weeks ago, she's in a better position. Her business was successful, and she made influential friends and she was treated well in the north.

Although her noble status was removed, she is allowed to keep her title as a lady. After her exile, she changed for the better and no scandals were heard among the nobilities from the north.

Rachel is known for being a troublemaker. Isn't it true that a life changing event can change a person's perspective in life? She became polite and respectful to her peers. Her personal maid Corine wrote them a letter about the big change that happened to their daughter.

If she's alive and happy, they couldn't ask for more. The Goddess Light Dragon gave them a blessing that she's well and that's all that matters.

According to the law of the southern kingdom, a noble family member who had committed a crime against the royal family was not permitted to visit their family after being found guilty. This prevents conspiracy to harm the royal family.

They have not seen Rachel for the past year, and they continue to appeal her case for pardon, but the Carlyle Royalty brushed off their plea. Marquis Henry and Luther Monchy filed ten appeals, but it was all thrown to the garbage by the presiding judge of Carlyle Parliament.

"Yes, my lord. Sir Alfred is waiting in the salon. He wanted to personally give it to all of you and discuss a confidential matter".

Three of them hurriedly go to the salon to greet the knight of Astrid.

"My apologies for the late request of attendance but I have urgent news for the Marquis".

Sir Alfred took the invitation from his attaché and handed it over to the Marquis. A beautiful handcraft invitation made for weddings.

While receiving the invitation, all of them are confused why they received one from the duke of Astrid.

Marquis Henry opened his eyes in awe and dropped the invitation on the floor. Luther collected the invitation, and his reaction is worse than his father. He spaced out and seemed not to move at all. Lily Monchy took the invitation and she collapsed on the floor.

'Thud'. They heard a sound and helped his mother to stand from the shocking news.

"Is this not a prank?".

Luther exclaimed and he almost wanted to throw a fist punch to Sir Alfred, but his father stopped him from his reckless reaction.

"Sir Alfred, please explain how and why our Rachel is to become the duchess of Astrid".

Marquis Henry can't believe this unbelievable news. He knew that the duke of Astrid never laid an eye to Rachel when they were in the academy. In fact, he abhors Rachel.

'Isn't he fancied Ara, the crown princess?'.

Henry is so confused by the new developments that his head is spinning from this new conspiracy.

"Marquis, I have no time to explain here but if all of you can't hurry and pack a little bit of your belongings, I will have his majesty explain the full details in person".

Sir Alfred explained calmly and respectfully bowed to the Marquis to let them know the seriousness of the situation.

"The portal terminal will close in three hours. I will send a carriage to pick you up in two hours".

Their faces are in disbelief again. The portal terminal is only used by the royal families and important delegates from their neighboring kingdom.
