"Mary did you forget to tell me something?" Mathew asked when they were having dinner.
"Is there something that I should tell you?" Ryan asked back.
"What are your plans for weekend?"
"Nothing." he put fork on the table "Is it our anniversary? I don't remember shit. If there is something ask me." he looked at the man in front of him expectantly.
Mathew sighed "I heard there is a gathering for your batch in high school. Why didn't you tell me about it?" he should have said that before.
"Heard?" there's no way he could hear about it "That's not important." resumed eating.
"You should attend."
"I don't even remember half of their names, Sir. What would I get from attending?"
"You're wrong thinking like that." Mathew stood up taking his plate to sink. "Spend some time with friends. Have a good time. What more should you get?" he came with desserts "You shouldn't monetize everything, Mary."
Ryan frowned "I'm not monetizing. After a stressed week" pulled Mathew into his lap "I expect a relaxing time with my lovely husband." started kissing his exposed collarbone. Mathew has to hold the bowl in his hands tightly not to spill.
"You want to fuck me entire weekend?" he asked tilting his head and exposing his vulnerable area.
Ryan stopped Mathew from grinding "No." ran his hands through a mess that is hair "I want to make love" sucked his earlobe into his mouth "to my Sir."
"What a gentleman!" Mathew started to kiss Ryan's shoulder. "Amanda would be proud if she knew how you're romancing me."
"Don't worry." he talked around the smooth flesh of an ear "She wrote in her letter that she would be watching me from above." They both stopped what they were doing at the same time sporting a matching expression.
Eyebrows creased together.
"Do you think...." Mathew started.
"She is crazy enough to watch." Ryan said as he knew his mother well "At least till we lost all of our clothes as I am her son." Mathew instantly stood up not wanting to violate her son while she is watching. Straightened his crumpled shirt as if he's being really watched.
"Why don't we go and see her? We have to go to your hometown anyway." Mathew asked while cleaning dining table.
"We?" Ryan raised an eyebrow and caught a plate when it was about to fall and break into pieces.

"Sorry." Mathew mumbled. "Yes. We. Did you forget I taught your batch?"
"I didn't. I thought it was students gathering only."
"Nope." he waved his phone "I got an invitation too." he raised an eyebrow with a smirk knowing there's no way he could get out of this now "What do you say?"

Ryan and Mathew are standing in front of Amanda and her husband's graves.
"Hi! Mom." Ryan greeted "I know I don't visit you often. But, you probably know the reasons." he chuckled "Although I appreciate some privacy."
"Sometimes he doesn't get at least five hours of sleep because of work. I'm quite proud of his achievements, though." Mathew said looking proud of his husband. Ryan smiled remembering how his mother would have reacted to that.
"Hi! Dad. I'm sure mom would be doing her crazy stuff. I love you mom." he turned to her mother "But, you are too much sometimes."
"Stop talking bad things about her." Mathew interfered "If she was here you wouldn't stand a chance against us."
"That's right. You both have to gang up on me. Which isn't fair at all."
"We're tiny creatures." that's a lie they are not tiny at all "You're intimidating. What if you use your physical strength? We have to look for ourselves."
"If I had used it, you wouldn't be talking back to me." Ryan rolled his eyes.
"Are you saying you'll hit me?" Mathew asked puffing up his chest and getting in Ryan's face. Having no fear that he might do that. Or is it the confidence that he won't?
"Do you want me to?" Ryan raised an eyebrow. Their conversation taking a 360 degree turn.
A shiver ran through Mathew's spine at what his husband was suggesting. He looked into those black pools searching. It's not the time or place. "I'm not having this conversation right now." he backed off standing at a proper distance.
"Anyway." Ryan turned to his father "I hope you've enjoyed your few years alone. Love you both."
After a couple of breaths "Hi! Mr. Parker." Mathew started nervously. "Mary- Ryan didn't introduce me." he glared at him for not introducing them formally. "I apologize for not taking your permission before proposing to your son."
"Sir, it's not proposal. You TOLD me to marry you. Not asked me."
"I'm talking here Mary." Mathew gave a heated look. Ryan held up his hands in front of him indicating he won't interfere anymore.

"I didn't propose properly I guess." he rubbed back of his neck "And I'm having a proper talk with you after two years of our marriage. Don't get me wrong I wanted to meet you, but you know.... it's common to be nervous while meeting father-in-law. I'm not just saying this to support what I did." rubbed his sweaty palms together "It sounded exactly like it." he cursed under breath "Is it stealing if I take your family name without doing things in traditional way." he chuckled nervously "I guess I stole your son's virginity too. I-"
"Sir!" Ryan hugged him from behind "You're rambling. Calm down." held him tightly. It's a first for him to watch his Sir nervous and rambling. 'I guess he wasn't kidding when he said he was nervous.'
"Mom approved you. Remember?" placed his neck in the crook of his husband's neck "She would raise hell in heaven if he didn't like you. No need to be overthinking." his chin hitting Mathew's shoulder while he was talking.
"Besides I don't know how he would react to me being gay." rubbed his hand over the nervous man's arm. "I guess I should talk to him first."
"You're not gay. You're demisexual." he then remembered something and turned to his mother-in-law "Don't worry Amanda, your son isn't unromantic. He's just demisexual."
"Sir, I'm married to a man. I am gay." he insisted.
"Then tell me, were you ever turned on because of another man?"
"No." Ryan was quick and honest.
"See. You didn't have sexual feelings for me till we've developed a bond. Which shows you're demisexual."
"I'm not."
"You are."
"Nope."
"Yup."
"Nope."
"Yup."
"Have you calmed down now?" he asked after a few more minutes of their bickering. "I don't care about labels." he turned to his father hugging his man tightly.
"Dad, whether I am gay or not I'm married to this man in my arms." his fingers linking together on his Sir's belly. "I love him and I'm very happy with him. That's all that matters. I know you won't have a problem with who I am as long as I am happy. So, you should accept my husband into our family."
Mathew was frozen hearing that confession. They've been married for years now. But, no one told that they love the other man. Somehow, he didn't think that would make any difference. Now that he felt the difference, he wants to hear it again this time saying it to him directly.
After their little visit, they went to Ryan's old house. Of course it is theirs now.
"I didn't know I'd have to clean your house or should I say houses my entire life, when I asked for your help with moving things." he coughed dusting their kitchen. "Karma is a bitch they say." he tried to sigh while coughing.
Ryan came with vegetables and some food "Don't make it look like you are the one who does all the chores. I clean every room of our house and do laundry. All you do is dishes."
"Having to deal with you in the morning is equal to all of that and more." Mathew stacked fridge with all the food items.
"Don't lie you enjoy it as much as I do." Ryan closed fridge door leaning on it.
His husband slapped him on the back of his head. "Out of gutter Mary. Gosh! I've created a monster." he mumbled the last part. "I'm talking about your shoutings. Sir! Shoes. Sir! Socks. Sir! This. Sir! that." he imitated his Mary in a deep voice.
Ryan scrunched his nose up. "I don't sound like that. And it's all because of you. You won't put things where they belong."
"Really?" copied his husband's posture "Then enlighten me what would I be doing with your ironed shirt?"
"How would I know what secret fetishes you have?" he said and walked away.
After cleaning every corner of house Mathew slumped on the couch.
"If people live here, this house won't look like a horror set."
"I'm not renting this house if that's you meant." Ryan slumped beside him.
"I know Mary." he pulled him close and went for a kiss.
"I'm dirty." Ryan leaned back.
"So am I." Mathew got his kiss anyway. His system needs some recharge.
"If we clean monthly once. Then it won't get out of hands like this." he said when he was satisfied with the kiss.
"Are you implying that we come here every month?"
"No. I am saying we should come here every month. We have Amanda and your Dad here. It's peaceful here." he smiled. Even though he is been working continuously after he got here, his body show certain calmness.
"If that's what you want." Ryan smiled. His eyes showing his love for his husband.
