《Sir (Man X Man) (Teacher x Student) ✔》Chapter 29: Marriage

It was officially the day of Mathew's wedding. Ryan wasn't even invited in person, the only invitation he got was from Sandra telling him that Mathew came when he was at work and asked her to give the invitation card.

At first he was hurt that he wouldn't even tell him in person, then he realized he must've been feeling guilty. Now, he didn't know if he should go or not. He was contemplating whether he should go or not till the last minute but, he couldn't ignore Sir on his big day.

That's how he is at the ceremony wearing a brand new suit which Luke insisted on wearing. Saying he won't attend a wedding with people who are looking like homeless.

A lot of people have attended and the hall was filled with rich people. He wasn't surprised as he already knew how rich he was. However that wasn't the case with Luke "Duude!" he exclaimed. "Mr. Collins is one rich asš." watching the huge hall way and the costly intrinsic decorations. "He doesn't look like that though. Hell, he doesn't even own a car."

Ryan laughed "Well, I guess not all the rich people want to show off."

Luke nodded his head vigorously "Do you think he has a sister? Do you think I have a chance with her?" watching the green lights that elevate every thing. The smell of freshly decorated flowers hitting their noses. The long aisle that'll no doubt be a problem for the bride to walk through.

"He has a brother and you have absolutely no chance with him." they have names on every seat "Where do you think our names are?"

Luke dragging him to front rows by his arm "We're VIPs. We better be in front row. Otherwise, I'm boycotting this whole wedding." They finally found Mathew's name in last row with his name in red, where as everyone else's name is in black. And Luke couldn't even find his name. "What the hell? I'm going to have a word with Mr. Collins."

"What the heck are you gonna do?" Ryan stopped Luke from walking away. "Look." he pointed to Mathew's arrival "Wedding has already started. Let's just don't make a scene and get out of here after wedding if you don't like it that much."

"Maybe you're okay with being treated like that. Not me." making Ryan let go of his hand he walked in the direction of bride groom. Ryan silently sat in his allotted chair, hoping and praying Luke wouldn't make a scene. But, luck wasn't on his side as he watched Luke talk to Mathew about something pointing in his direction and the bridegroom himself walked to him, in a fit green suit: his favorite color, Ryan couldn't help but think, hair neatly styled. Even if he's not in front of the whole crowd, standing at the podium everyone can tell who the bride groom is. He dominated the whole crowd with how handsome he is and the happy aura he was exuding.

"Shit." he cursed as everyone's eyes were on Mathew curious as to what was happening.

Ryan's heart beat faster not knowing what's going on. With every step Mathew took, his regret for coming here grew. One part of him wants to get out of here, not wanting to cause any trouble. Another part him wants to stay and talk to him. It has been almost a week they talked.

Mathew stood before Ryan at a feet distance and stared into those tired eyes. He can tell he hasn't been sleeping well. "Nightmares?" was the first word he said.

"You know it." Ryan watched as regret made a grand entrance in his face. Yet, he didn't say anything to simmer that down.

He suddenly took a step back when Mathew took something out from his pocket. It was Ryan turn to let his jaw drop along with a lot of audience as he saw a ring sitting perfectly in a fancy ring box.

"Mary marry me." Mathew said with a confident tone. That's what people thought. Everyone's head was in their direction watching intently some judging and some plain curious. No one knew how he felt inside.

Ryan blinked shocked, taking his time to process what was happening. But, Mathew pushed him by saying "Mary. Marry. Me." slowly as if he was talking to a child.

The only thing that mattered to Ryan was "Will you come home?"

"Of course, where will I stay if not at my husband's." he said pointing to ring he was holding.

A smile appeared on his face nearly splitting it into two. That's the answer he needed to hear even if some fancy words are used. He didn't think he could live without his Sir, without the talks they have every night before they sleep, the bickering they have for the smallest things. He is used to it, all of it, Mathew is the only person pulled him out after his mother. And he can't afford to loose him too.

Even though, Mathew didn't get an answer "Well, come on then. Everyone's waiting to watch a wedding." hooked his arm in Ryan's. The bride groom taking his husband-to-be by himself to the altar through long aisles in the midst of people's shocked expressions.

Ryan's foot faltered when he saw tears streaming down the bride's face beside the podium. It seems as though she came in as she heard about the ruckus. Seeing Ryan's hesitation Ava showed him her thumbs up smiling through tears, forgetting to cover up very noticeable glycerin bottle in her hands. "Oops." she bit her tongue hiding it and going back to continue her previous crying, wiping off a little mascara in the process. Nobody saw their interaction as everyone was too surprised to take their eyes off of the couple.

Mathew asked "Wait, you don't want me to get on one knee do you?" he asked referring to a hint of doubt in him.

Ryan suddenly looked at Luke who was smiling as if he knew this all along, Sandra wasn't any better either in fact she's is worse. Sporting a proud smile on her face beside a crying bride. This all led Ryan to speak next words "I do."

Mathew smiled getting in a position to ask him properly but, Ryan grabbed his collar and tie pulled him to his eye level making him stand on his tippy toes and kissed him fiercely on the lips not even caring that they were in the middle of a mass crowd, his parents probably watching from somewhere. Mathew didn't care either as he completely submitted himself to the younger man. "I'm really sorry." he said breathless when he was finally let go.

"You're forgiven Sir." Ryan smiled "Only if you keep your promise." he said his only condition.

"What do you think I'm trying to do?" he linked his fingers with Ryan's having a permanent smile painted on his face.

Mathew read his vows while placing a ring on his finger. Only when it was Ryan's turn did he remember that he doesn't have a ring with him. Like the good friend he is Luke presented a ring in front of him "You're welcome." saying a little too sarcastic.

They both left in newly Wed's car as soon as they can, somehow avoiding his parents, of course Max helped them, he is the main reason everything went smoothly.

"Wow, they're so extra." Mathew said looking at their bed which has white fluffy sheets, extra pillows that won't be needed and the white flowers with their leaves connecting four bed poles. Their room has been redecorated with all white paint, curtains in green. Even the bed has been changed to a king sized feather bed just like the one in Mathew's room. Seeing that "Max" he mumbled. Only he knew out of all of them about his preferences, their bedroom screamed Mathew, he knew Ryan won't have any problem with the colour change as he doesn't have any particular favorite.

"Okay. I need answers." Ryan said seeing all of it.

"Then start asking questions."

"What exactly happened?"

"We got married." he said as if Ryan was the dumbest person in the world.

Rolling his eyes "I'm asking about how did this happen." he raised a hand to stop him "Before you give a smart comeback, Ava seemed completely fine with it, then why is she crying? Whom did she put the act up for? It seems Sandra and Luke already knew about your plan. Why am I the only one who doesn't know? Most of all, who gave you the idea of marriage and me?" he asked in one breath.

"First off breath." he waited till he did "About Ava, you already knew about us. We don't like each other that way yet our parents wants us together for business. Who listens to parents any way? Not me." he sat on the comfy bed and patted it beside him for Ryan to sit "So, that's what I did, when the called me and said about this bull shit I didn't even give any answer to them. Unlike me, Ava have to listen to her parents for whatever fucced up reason she has. I don't even care at this point."

"Then why all this drama?" he was confused "If you don't like the wedding? Why did you agree?"

"I'm coming to that point Mary. Let me take a breathe. Will ya?" he continued "I honestly forgot the fact that I have a wedding coming up as I was caught up with something else." he gave Ryan a once over "The day you made a scene about hating cheaters, she came to remind me that. Fortunately, Sandra got involved, she wouldn't let Ava's previous plan of getting married and taking a divorce let happen and formed a new plan of making her a victim and me a villain saying Ava's parents will have to listen to her after her heart broke because of them."

"Wow." Ryan felt like he is watching a crazy drama "Does that work though?"

"Everyone played their part pretty well, now all we have to do is wait for the result."

"Where did I come in all of this?" he waved his at the imaginary display of the story.

"Because you love me." he said shrugging simply.

"What?" he raised an eyebrow.

"That's what Sandra said and everyone thinks."

"Really?"

"Yeah."

"So you decided to marry me?"

"Tell me why did you marry me?"

"Because you promised me you'd live with me if I did." And yes he made sure of it. "What if I had said no?"

"But did you?"

"Forget it. We're too smart for each other." Ryan sighed.

"No. In fact, we're too dumb." and he started to tell, about him confronting Sandra for what she did.

"Then please do explain me what's your relationship with Ryan." she asked folding her arms against her chest.

"That's" he searched for the right words to describe "That's complicated."

"What's there to be complicated? Either he is a friend or boyfriend."

"It's really complicated Sandra. He is- was my student. Then we got closer, after his mother's death, I promised I won't leave him alone."

"That's well and good but it doesn't exactly mean you staying in his home, now does it?"

Mathew's eyebrows creased together "No. I've been living here" he thought about it "even before that."

"Even so, you don't have to sleep in same bed. Right?"

"If you're implying that I'm having sex with him. Forget it I'm not even having this conversation with you."

"That's the main problem with you guys here. Everything happened so quickly and so naturally, you don't even think twice about anything."

"What are you saying? What do I have to think about?"

"That you love Ryan." she said.

"You finally lost your mind Sandra. What are you even talking about. Listen, I know what love feels like -"

"Feels like what?" she cut him off "Racing heart, sweaty hands, shivering body etc etc? That's called anxiety not love." she started to talk slowly "It's different for everyone, some people might experience all these things you're talking about but some might feel complete opposite like being peaceful in their presence, having normal conversations with out feeling insecure." Yes Mathew feels all these in the presence of his Mary and much more. He never had second thoughts about telling him his whole story about his parents, never once felt like he was being judged even when he did some stupid shit.

She stopped for a second letting him process "Can't you see that you are used to each other? And you care about each other more than normal people do? Hell, who even wants to take pain on themselves just so you don't feel pain?" That's true Ryan was in so much pain. He saw it in the first hand. Yet, he didn't complain once, all he cared about was his safety.

"So, you're saying he loves me too?" Mathew asked unsure.

Sandra smiled a heart warming smile "Yes. I haven't spend much time with him but he doesn't look like a person who goes to extremes just for anyone. You should know him better than me."

She is not wrong about it. He doesn't even think twice about others. "Then why didn't he tell me about it?"

"Seriously? You're asking me about it" she pointed to herself "I don't want to offend you or anything but he's not the brightest when it comes to these kind of things."

"I'm gonna need some time to process all this." he slumped down on the bed.

Sandra looked like the biggest fan girl meeting her favorite actor as she sat beside him "I can help you with that." she batted her eyelashes putting chin in her hands.
