《Girls Talk [Girl x Girl]》Chapter Forty-Two- What Are We?

I spent a brief few moments wondering if I had just heard what I thought Victoria had said.
She loved me?
Zachary just shook his head slightly before walking away, Victoria's eyes fluttered close in frustration, she hadn't noticed me which I was thankful for...I don't think she would want me to know until she was the one to tell me herself.
Victoria stood for a moment, as if in thought about what she had just said to Zachary.
I mean, that may have been a time to walk out and be like "Surprise!" but I wasn't holding the outcome of doing that in high regard...
Victoria had just admitted that she loved me.
I wasn't too sure what to do now, as I couldn't tell her that I overheard her saying that...or maybe I could.
Either way, I wasn't going to do anything of the sort at the moment.
I think I was turning into a human shaped tomato, but I may be exaggerating.
Then again...I don't think I had ever felt myself going that red ever before in my life than that very moment.
Before I could head over to try to talk to Victoria, Zachary showed up again.
I had to internalize a groan...he hadn't caught on to Victoria wanting him to leave her alone, at all.
"So...you're a what now? A lesbian or some crap?" He said, his voice harsh.
I didn't see why it really mattered to this dude...
"It's none of your business. Maybe I am...you have that effect on girls," Victoria joked.
"Shut up."
"Well, there was Stacey, Gwen...can't forget Leah,"
Zachary just rolled his eyes and walked away, Victoria smirked for a moment, but it was soon replaced with an annoyed look.

Before I could even speak with her, Victoria pushed past Zachary and seemed to be on route to head back to our dorm.
Zachary's eyes met mine and in a moment of panic I tried to turn away but Zachary just had a fake smile on his face, as he headed over to me.
"Well, I hope you two are very happy together," he stated.
"We will be," I said in return.
He shook his head in slight disbelief, and turned away, briefly turning back to me as if to say something else but seemed to decide that it wasn't worth the effort, thankfully. I didn't want to have to deal with him, in all honesty, I had other Victoria-related things to deal with.
I decided to pluck up whatever courage I had and go to speak to Victoria, so I headed back to our dorm room.
Well, I was on my way there, until Fox and Margo bumped into me.
"She's being annoying..." Fox told me, but couldn't help but smile when Margo nudged her gently.
"Oh? What has she done this time?" I asked, playfully raising an eyebrow at Margo who just shrugged.
"You tell her, Fox," she said, her eyes looking towards the ground for a moment as her cheeks went slightly pink.
"She can't decide whether she wants to have pizza or pasta, so we've been driving up and down the road for the past ten minutes before I said screw it and we ended up back here,"
"We should just go and have dinner another time," Margo stated this time.
"Yes...a double date?" Fox offered, an eyebrow raised in a mischievous way.
"Oh uh...Victoria and I aren't a thing," I stated.

Well, at least not yet.
We still had to overcome some minor difficulties for anything to happen in regards to relationshipping... never used that word in a sentence before.
"You're not?" Margo asked.
"I thought you two would be by now Greeny, what's even happening with that?"
"Her dad,"
"Her dad? What does that mean?" Margo's eyebrows wrinkled together slightly in confusion. Well, it meant that my more recent wishes of dating Victoria Lace had been somewhat extinguished.
I sighed.
"He doesn't want us together,"
"Oh...well that's bull-"
"Margo...Kate, you two will find a way around it, he needs to get over himself," Fox stated.
She was right.
I needed to get around it, we both did.
"We'll see you at Swan's party later," Fox said.
"Yeah and if Kictoria isn't a thing by that point then I'm going to just have to interfere,"
I rolled my eyes but smiled, Margo could be amusing sometimes.
I began to head back to our dorm room and paused once I got to the door, I could hear Victoria speaking, but entered after a few seconds.
"I can't believe I just did that...oh, hey Kate," Victoria spoke, once I headed into the room.
"We're speaking now?"
She nodded.
I was glad there wasn't anymore of the whole awkward silence that had been going on the past few days...
"Yeah my aunt's going to be looking after me...as my parents say they need 'time', I think things will be okay,"
I was glad that someone in Victoria's family was accepting of the situation, she deserved that.
Kate.
I could hear the echo of her voice saying my name in my head...it was difficult to not just blurt out that I knew she had admitted her feelings to Zachary, and that I loved her, too.
Then again, I had already done that... silly drunkenness.
So what would come next?
"Victoria,"
"Kate...random question but...what are we, really?"
"What are we? I-"
"I mean, we kiss more than twice and you don't even ask me out on a date, what's going on here, Greene?" Victoria laughed gently, and I did the same, once I realised she was just kidding.
Sometimes, I still wasn't one hundred percent sure.
"Victoria I need to tell you something,"
Victoria looked curious now, but then checked her watch.
"We need to head off soon," she stated, and then continued after noticing my slightly confused look.
"The princess of ice's party," she smirked.
Oh...how could I forget?
My thoughts had been preoccupied, that was how.
I nodded, maybe then I could tell Victoria what I needed to.
"Want to go together?" she asked me.
"Do you even need to ask?" I said.
"Well, I don't know...you might have decided you hate me or something," she added.
I frowned slightly at that comment.
"Your face, I'm kidding, Kate. You want to go?"
"Of course," I stated.
The corners of Victoria's mouth turned up slightly in a smile.
"Good," she said, and then headed into the bathroom to start getting ready.
