《Girls Talk [Girl x Girl]》Chapter Thirty- Swan's not so bad?

I was on my way to get some more art supplies when I ended up bumping into the only Margo Rodriguez.

"Hey Greeny," she greeted, with a pearly white smile. I noticed she had a latte in her hands, and my first question was: spiced or pumpkin? Over the past few weeks, and the increasing amount of empty latte containers I was finding in her and Fox's room I was beginning to realise that Margo was quite the caffeine addict.

"I'm tired," she said.

"That;s what happens with coffee,"

She sighed.

"Not what I meant,"

"Oh?"

Margo wasn't being her usual perky self, and with the note I had seen that fox had left in her hands, I realised why.

"What's up?" I enquired.

"Fox went out," Margo replied.

"Oh she did?"

"Mm, she...well, we got drunk the other night and I said some stuff I shouldn't have,"

I thought for a moment, and then asked how she hadn't mentioned it before.

"I don't like to think about it. I'm tired of Fox and I fighting, you know? Well, it's hardly fighting but...I hate her ignoring me like this,"

"But there's a good reason why she left that note,"

"Ha, yeah. She reminded me to get my prescription later," she stated.

"There's Fox," I replied.

"The responsible one," Margo finished, taking a sip from her latte and then looking at it in disappointment when she had realised she had finished it.

"They need to make these things larger,"

"Isn't that a large?"

"My point exactly," Margo replied, to which I nodded.

Margo sighed, and I sighed.

We were both having girl problems, it seemed, and not just standard girl problems either. I still needed to confront Victoria about her sudden personality change from her party a few nights back, and the whole liking me thing...if she still liked me, that is.

"I like Fox, but...it's just the girl thinks I don't,"

"Why don't you tell her?" I asked, as she handed me the cup of her latte and I put it into the bin.

Margo shook her head slightly.

"I would if I could," she replied, and I waited for her to continue.

Margo looked down towards the chipped black nail polish on her nails with a frown, and then met eyes with me.

"She's everything I could ask for, but..."

"But?"

"This isn't the easiest thing to mention but my ex-girlfriend was a total nightmare, she left a lot of scars I'm still getting over and in all honesty, you know I act carefree, but I feel like I need to get over what I went through with her before I get into another relationship,"

"Total nightmare?"

Margo nodded. "I think the relationship would have gone more swiftly if I wasn't accused of cheating ever few days," she stated.

"Sorry, Margo," I frowned.

"Yeah, so am I," she replied, and then forced a smile.

"Anyways, what's going on with you and Vicky?" she questioned.

"Currently, null," I replied.

Margo rose an eyebrow.

"That bad?"

"I just haven't had the time to talk to her as of late, she keeps going to the library to study history of art,"

"Trust me, that's bull," Margo replied.

"You think so?"

"She probably wants to discuss this as much as you do; she just doesn't know how to go about it," Margo replied.

Maybe.

Margo and I spoke for a short while longer before she told me she was going to go and get her prescription, which gave me some time to go and find the missing Victoria Lace.

She ended up being stood outside the dorm room, exchanging words with Swan, it didn't end in a fight, it seemed, which was a result.

When she saw me, she gave me a slight smile.

"Hey Kate," she said.

I blurted the question that was on my mind.

"Why don't you talk about it?"

"About?" she feigned obliviousness.

At least, figured she was feigning it and hadn't legitimately forgotten what had passed between us.

Victoria sighed.

"What's there to discuss?"

"A lot," I replied.

Victoria gave a small nod, and headed back into the dorm room, I followed after her.

"I just don't think I should feel the way I do," she said at once, sitting down on her bed.

"Which is?"

"You know I like you but there's more to it," she said.

More to it?

Well, at least she acknowledged what she had said before.

"What?"

"I can't explain...wait a second," she said, as there was a knock on the door of the room which she went to answer.

"Swan?"

"Yeah, I'm moving soon,"

"I figured," Victoria said.

"So, I wanted to come and resolve some stuff with the two of you. I know I caused a lot of issues, Victoria and I'm sorry. I shouldn't hold onto what happened that evening nor should I keep blaming my own struggles on you because I don't know how else to resolve them, you deserve more than that," Swan stated, and then her eyes trailed to me.

Victoria stood there, and I guessed, didn't exactly know how to respond to swan's confession.

"Kate, sorry for getting in between the two of you. I've just made a mess,"

"It's all good," Victoria replied.

Swan looked at her with a surprised expression on her face.

"Yeah..." she began.

"But it's not, I was being a brat," she replied.

"And you're forgiven."

Swan gave a nod, and then began to head out of the dorm.

"Swan," Victoria paused her.

"Yes?"

"Thanks,"

Swan looked slightly confused, but then headed out of the room.

Victoria headed over to sit back down on her bed and picked up the magazine she had all so frequently looked through when she didn't want to speak about something.

"I uhm..." I began, and then stopped.

I would try to talk to her at another point in time. I stood up from my own bed and walked out of the dorm.

Victoria only said a quiet, "Bye," when I left.

Swan turned around to me when she heard the door close.

"What's going on between you two?" she asked immediately.

"All this hiding you like each other bull, it's you she likes, right?" Swan asked, to which I nodded.

"I figured," she stated.

"I'm not too sure what's going on," I said.

Swan thought for a moment before replying.

"Then figure it out," she said, and then headed off.

The slight issue was that Victoria wasn't easy to figure out...at all.
