《Maverick and Her Ways (GirlxGirl)》Spin the Bottle of Jealousy

"Okay. Everyone knows what spin the bottle is, and it's pretty simple." Dennis said. He was standing in the middle of the circle with an empty beer bottle, and he laid the bottle down on his feet. "But I'm going to explain the rules, so everyone will know what's up."
"This sounds like a bad idea." I blurted out, and everyone turned their heads to look at me. Sighing, I played with my fuzzy socks and raised a hand. "What if I don't want to play?" I asked.
"That's not fair, you have to play." Said Margo who was grinning at me like she knows something that I don't.
"How is that not fair?" I asked, and frowning at her.
"Because this is a party, and the whole reason for parties is to get to know each other." Margo answered. "And to have a great time, of course."
Everyone nodded their head in agreement.
"There is no discussion for debate." Dennis said, and held up an index finger and wagged it at me and Margo. "That is why there are rules. I will explain them after you're done voicing out your anxiety."
"It's going to be okay, Mave." Dani whispered only for me to hear, but something tells me that it's not going to be okay.
"Let's start." Dennis said, and made his way beside Natasha who made room for him o sit down. "I'll spin the bottle first, and I have to kiss the person on the lips for at least three second, to whoever the bottle pointed to."
"What if it's both girls and both boys?" Asked Marco, who looked curious. "I don't want to sound crude, but it's a fair question, right?"
"Scared to kiss a boy, Marco?" Asked Margo.
"Not at all." Marco said, chuckling. He stared right at Natasha and smiled. "I wanted to know what my chances are on kissing a particular someone."
Everyone oohed. Natasha looked at me with her face flustered and all I did was laugh.
"There are no exceptions." Dennis clarified. "But if you're not comfortable kissing the other person, then you have to pick truth or dare. Does that sound fair?"
Again, everyone muttered their agreement.
"But if someone picked dare, you can't dare the person to kiss the other person behind the bottle." I said. "Or you can't dare someone to kiss another person, period." Gina laughed beside me, and said,
"Of course Maverick would find the loophole." Gina smirked.
"Alright fine." Dennis nodded. "That sounds fair. Are you okay, Mave?" Asked Dennis who looked amused at my expression.
"I'm fine. I'm totally fine." I said, and waved a hand. I caught Dani's eyes and she was giving me a tight smile. She and I both know that this was something I'm not comfortable with. But I can't ruin the fun for everyone. Maybe I'll just pick truth all the time.
"And what happens if it's your turn to spin, and the bottle pointed at yourself? Do you spin the bottle again?" Gina asked.

"Nope. You get to pick truth or dare." Dennis answered.
"Fun." Gina said with a grin.
"Okay, here I go." Dennis announced and spun the bottle.
The bottle moved around the circle, but slowly it stopped spinning, and the bottle pointed to me.
"Fuck." I said with a sigh.
Everyone seemed to find this so amusing and funny. Dennis was laughing as he crawled his way towards me.
"Do you wanna kiss me, or pick truth or dare?" He asked, wiggling his eyebrows. Thomas coughed on his drink, and I stared at him.
Thomas was fidgeting on his spot in between Margo and Gina, and I could tell he was getting a little jealous. I raised an eyebrow at his reaction, and actually let out a small chuckle. He was definitely jealous.
I'm such a horrible person to find his uncomfortableness amusing, so I nodded my head at Dennis and leaned over to kiss him full on the lips.
Everyone gasped in surprise because they all know me enough that I'm the type of person who would pick truth. But I guess I proved them wrong.
Besides, Dennis is one of my best friends, and he and I both know that this kiss meant nothing. I can feel him smiling through the kiss, which made me smile too and everyone counted to three before we pulled apart.
Everyone was going crazy loud, like this was some live comedy show. Dani looked at me like she didn't even know me, but she was laughing along with everyone else.
"Natasha you're next." Dennis said and handed her the bottle.
"Oh my god, I'm sweating." She said, which made everyone laugh. She held the bottle, and took a deep breath.
I looked around everyone and saw that Margo was pursuing her lips while glancing at Marco. There was something going on there because it was unusual for Margo to look nervous. Marco on the other hand was hiding an arm behind him.
And I bet he was crossing his fingers.
Natasha finally spun the bottle, and she spun it hard. The bottle moved sharply towards the opposite direction to where Marco is, and hit his foot. It bounced, towards the middle, and the bottle yet again landed on me.
"You've got to be kidding me!" I exclaimed, while everyone went nuts.
"Kiss?" Natasha asked me, and I rolled my eyes when the boys obviously found this entertaining.
I honestly don't know what to do. A part of me felt flustered that I was going to kiss my girl best friend in front of everyone, and it bothers me that I feel affected by this because I had no issues kissing Dennis earlier.
But before I could even answer Nat, she pulled the strings of my hoodie and leaned in for a kiss. I was so shocked that my eyes narrowed. She was kissing me, and she was kissing me with tongue.
I closed my eyes and let Nat take the lead because I was too scared to watch everyone's reaction while we kissed. I was okay with this, surprisingly. Besides, her lips felt soft and I was definitely okay with that.

"Holy shit that's so hot." I heard Margo said over the cheers.
Then the kiss was over.
I heard Nat giggle and she nudge me. I felt so flustered, and my ears are popping hot. I stared at her incredulously and pushed her face away playfully.
"That was more that three seconds!" Marco stated.
"And Nat didn't give Mave a chance to decide whether she wanted to kiss or not!" Dani added.
"What a controversy this is." Margo said, while she looked at Dani and I. "But it's all fun and games people!" She reminded everyone. "Now let's continue- Maverick, it's your turn."
The look that Dani gave me surprised me. She was definitely pissed off. With a heavy sigh, she run her hand through her blond hair and took a big gulp from her drink.
This is not fun anymore.
"Mave, spin the bottle." Gina said.
I did, and it landed on me again.
"What the hell, man!" I complained. "Is this bottle rigged? Why is it always pointing at me."
"Maybe because you're adorable and everyone secretly wants to kiss you." Gina said jokingly, and giving me a flying kiss playfully. She guffawed when I threw Tostitos chips at her.
"Truth or dare?" Asked Dennis.
"Truth."
Everyone groaned.
"I said truth!" I said again, and frowning at everyone. "Don't judge me. That's my decision."
"Alright, then. Pick someone who you want to give you the question." Dennis said, and shaking his head at me in disappointment.
"Dani." I immediately said without missing a beat. She's probably the smartest choice, and I knew that she's not going to ask me questions that'll make me feel uncomfortable.
Dani took another big gulp of her drink and stared directly at me. Everyone waited in silence, then she glanced at me and Natasha in an odd way that's not familiar to me.
"Be honest. Did you like kissing Natasha?" She asked.
Everyone annoyingly oohed, like the question was scandalous. I rolled my eyes and thought the question was stupid. I stared at Natasha, and she was blushing. She and Dani had eye contact as if having a silent conversation and I frowned in confusion because Dani seemed to be making a big deal out of this.
"She's a great kisser." I admitted. "So yeah, I liked kissing her."
"Yeah, I bet you did." Dani muttered under her breath.
I held her arm and made her face me. But she only took another sip of her drink and brushed my hand away. Nobody noticed the exchange that Dani and I had, except Natasha.
But to my relief, Natasha didn't say anything about it.
A girl from our basketball team went next, and it landed on Thomas. They mutually decided to share a kiss, and I saw Dennis scratch his eyebrow. I knew then that Dennis and Thomas are making each other jealous, and I rolled my eyes at the obvious drama.
And to be honest, the way Dani was acting right now made me feel upset because she's exaggerating. She's definitely ignoring me now, and I guess she's jealous. But she has to understand that it's silly to feel jealous of Natasha.
Then it was Gina's turn. It landed on Margo, and as always, everyone cheered because two girls kissing is "hot".
"Kiss, kiss, kiss, kiss!" Everyone chanted.
Gina was eating her bag of pretzels, and staring at Margo. She was thinking, and the way she squinted her eyes was like she's daring Margo to kiss her. Margo on the other hand wasn't moving at all.
While the crowd chanted, the two just stared at each other, and waiting for the other to make a move.
"Kiss already!" Thomas called out.
With that, Margo leaned and took a bite on the pretzel that was in between Gina's lips. They were so close, but they didn't share a kiss. Instead they stared at each other again with similar smirks as they chewed on the pretzel.
Everyone was finding all this amusing, and I can't help but laugh.
"I pick Dare." Gina finally said.
"Scared to kiss me?" Margo asked.
"No." Gina answered. "I'm just concerned that you wouldn't be able to handle yourself."
"Is that so?"
"Yep." Giggled Gina. "I pick Natasha to give me the dare."
"I dare you give Margo a lap dance." Natasha said, clapping her hands.
"Oh god, you guys are so bad." Gina said sarcastically as she confidently straddled Margo's lap, and started to seductively dance slowly.
I gaped at them, and shook my head in disbelief.
Gina had her arms resting on Margo's shoulders, when she swayed her hips down, then up again.
"Oh, you're good." Margo commented as she bit her lower lip, in attempt to hide her smirk.
"Thanks." Gina winked while S he continued. She turned around, and literally twerked on Margo.
Margo was reaching her hand towards Gina's bum, but Gina stopped and moved away to go back to her spot. Margo sighed and chuckled.
Everyone was clapping their hands to Gina's performance and I joined them. Then it was Dani's turn to spin the bottle.
Without hesitating, she spun it and it landed on Natasha.
Then, with a quick flip on her blond hair over her shoulder, Dani pulled Natasha in for a kiss.
And as I stare at their lips colliding, I now understood what Dani felt.
I knew then that I'm involved in some deep drama that's going to be unleashed soon.
