《A Second Chance At Romance》Five

Standing before me was none other than Liam.

Damn that man sure is sexy.

He looked really good in the light jeans he wore with the plain black t-shirt that complimented his abs and muscles.

Quit staring! He'll begin to think you're attracted to him or something.

Well, maybe I am?

"It seems as if I'm always running into you," I spoke trying to hide the smile that started to creep onto my face.

"Yeah, we'll I'm pretty sure you're following me now." He joked with an amused look on his face.

"No, I don't think so more like you are following me."

He simply laughed as my mom and Lexi approached walking over to me after she went to retrieve Lexi since I fell in front of a ton of people. I'm sure my moms going to have a field day with this and I was going to hear it when we got back to her house.

"Of course not but I li-"

Liam was in the middle of speaking when Lexi interrupted him.

"Mama, are you okay?" She looked up at me a little worried as I assured her I was.

"Yes, baby I'm fine see. Liam here helped me."

Lexi then looked over at Liam and smiled at him and he did the same.

"Thanks for helping my mama."

"You're welcome, sweetheart." He said giving her a wink, "I'd do anything for her."

As we stood there I was curiously wondering who he was here with until I noticed a gorgeous brunette approaching us with a little girl who looked to be about Lexi's age and I couldn't help but wonder if they were together.

I never noticed a wedding ring although I guess he just didn't wear it sometimes.

It was weird that he looked surprised when I mentioned I had a kid yet he also did and was married. When the lady finally reached us she looked between the both of us eyeing Liam and me suspiciously.

Uh oh.

"What's going on here?" The lady eventually spoke waiting for an answer from either one of us.

"Oh hey Lou, this is Savannah she accidentally ran into me and fell so I just helped her up moments ago."

So she has a name.

Lou.

Lou raised an eyebrow at him before saying, "You sure you didn't run into her? She's pretty so if I was a guy I'd use that as an excuse to get her number."

I didn't know what to think at that moment I was terrified about what might happen. I didn't want to get in between both of them so I spoke up and tried to resolve the issue.

"Excuse me Lou is it? I promise you that it was only an accident."

When I spoke she looked at me and then proceeded to say, "An accident? Are you sure about that?"

I then looked towards Liam and gave him a look wanting him to speak up so his wife didn't go off on me.

"Seriously Lou please stop."

She then threw her hands up in the air as she said, "Alright alright chill out little brother. I'm just messing with you."

Wait...hold up.

Did she just say, brother?

"Wait. Liam is your brother?" I looked between the both of them as I felt incredibly stupid.

"Yeah." She drags it out and then continued, "why?"

Now I feel like a complete idiot.

"Well at first I thought y'all were together or something by the way you both were acting but now I understand."

As soon as I said that they both looked horrified like that was the worst assumption in the world.

Liam was the first to speak out of the two after laughing for a few seconds.

"Definitely not. As much as I love my sister she's crazy. I'm not sure how her husband puts up with her."

He was clearly teasing her by the smile on his face as a result of that she slapped him on the arm playfully.

"Oh, hush. It's not like you're any better." she argued back, "you're just as crazy and I can give you a list of why you are annoying."

Lou was fixing to give everyone the list but Liam cut her off before she could.

"No that's okay we don't need to hear it besides I think Savannah and her family want to finish looking around the zoo. Isn't that right?"

All eyes were on me and I just said, "Of course. Lexi's been wanting to go see the elephants so we should probably go. I'm sure I'll see you around."

"I hope so." He finally smiled as we began to walk in the opposite direction of them.

We hadn't gotten that far before I heard my name being called so I whipped around and saw Lou speed walking towards me.

"Savannah, wait!"

What does she want?

I stopped in my tracks for her to catch up to me and when she did she handed me a slip of paper and just smiled at me before walking away leaving me standing there with a piece of paper in my hand wondering what it was.

"What did she give you?" My mom asked from behind me as I just shrugged my shoulders in response.

Opening the piece of paper I noticed there was a number on it, but not just any number it was someone's cell phone number.

"It's Liam's phone number."
