"Fill in these forms right here." said Mr Grat as he handed the forms to Kasiyah.
She woke up at 7am leaving a clingy Sincere at home. Mr Grat called her after the incident at the shop telling her to come by his office to start off the process. He explained to Kasiyah that there were a few crucial steps she would have to take. One was to fill in all the forms. Then it was to inform their parents that she wanted to do this, and she knew that wouldn't go well.
Ion really know the process for adoption but I researched and this is what I found.
"Here are the court dates, because I'm your lawyer for this case I'll contact you when key dates approach us. Till then, have a good day and tell the parents now before they receive a letter from us." he smiled.
Kasiyah returned a tight lip smile. She didn't want drama between all the parents but her lawyer was right. She had to do it now or it would just pile up to be a load of rubbish beef.
As she walked out of his office and into her car she received a call from Sincere.
"Wasssup lil ma?", he said with his phone on his lap as he looked into the road.
"Hello Sincere." she said getting ready to start her car.
"What you doing?", he asked.
"I'm about to go see Pablo with Tamari because he told me to bring him in order for him to speak."
"I swear that man thinks he's the family founder, always wants to be somebodies uncle." he laughed.
"Can't blame him, the kids are cute."
"You spoken to him about all that went down in the store?"
"Aniyah was going to i think, i bet she probably has but it all is just a big blur, we will never know till we see it unfold." Kasiyah shrugged.
"Alright big homie, I'll hit you up later- wait that boy from jail still staying over at your place?" he asked.
Kasiyah told Sincere about Murda. She knew she would get the best advice from him, Murda still wouldn't accept her offer because he claimed his mom would give him a room but Kasiyah did her readearch and found out his mom moved out of the city and he needed to stay in the city. So she told his CO that the house he would be staying at is hers.
Kasiyah was prepared, she had her sofa bed in the living room with a few blankets. She got him a few items from the store like tops and jeans and they were sitting in her living room waiting to be worn.

Tamari asked her why on earth she would buy clothes for a man she hardly knows, but he just said that to piss her off. Kasiyah didn't care though because she felt sorry for Murda, it is hard to leave a comfortable environment where you fit in to now try fit into a new world.
Murda was excited to leave but he didn't appreciate the way Kasiyah got into his business, he was a grown man and knew how to get around. As it was his first night in the prison, Herb had been at his leg all over him with no intention of leaving him.
Herb didn't want to see his bestfriend go, and Quez didn't want to have his second portion of food gone. Murda had been trying to get them away from him all day but Herb didn't back off, he even took the time to neatly place himself onto Murda's bed while he was in it.
Murda was tired of them but knew he would miss them in due time. He laughed off Herb's actions because he knew he was weird in general. All day he was receiving good lucks and be safe from all the prisoners while Officer Banner stared him up and down.
Murda knew what he had to do the moment he got out the prison and that was to find TK and sort the issue. He didn't want to kill him, he didn't have time to catch another case or act immature. He just wanted to speak to him, maybe pass him onto family to deal with him if all goes wrong, but definitely speak to him.
"Hey Pablo!" said Kasiyah walking into his new room with his new family. He was playing with a young child who Kasiyah presumed was the parents child.
"Hi." he said smiling running over to her giving her a big hug.
"Hi, I'm George." said the young boy also running to give Kasiyah a hug, he was very polite and sweet.
"Hi George."
"Wheres Tamari?" asked Pablo.
"He was right behind me." Tamari was down stairs introducing himself to Pablos's foster parents. He was so full of himself and wanted everybody to know who he was.
"I'm here." he said walking into the room.
"What were you doing?"
"Nobody told me I'd be walking into an interrogation." he said giving Pablo a hug.
"Pablo are you read for me and you to talk." said Kasiyah and he nodded.
"I'm going to go make you all milk and cookies while you talk. Bye Pablo, bye Kasiyah, and goodbye to you." said George walking out making Kasiyah smile, he was so cute.

"May I ask why I'm here?" said Tamari taking a seat, making Kasiyah mug him.
"May I remind you that you were practically jumping up and down when I told you Pablo wanted you to come." she said smiling.
"You don't need to remind me about shi- poo, because my brain is capable of remembering. Thank you Kasiyah."
This all was a comedy show to Pablo, he was loving it and that was exactly why he asked for Tamari, he knew he would make it more funny for him.
"So Kasiyah what did you want to tell me?" asked Pablo curiously.
"So Pablo,-
Just as she was about to speak George walked in with the cookies and milk and carefully placed it at the table in the centre of their room, he knew they were still talking so he waltzed out of the room. "Hey guys, Pablo's sister is down stairs, she's coming up in a minute." he said smiling.
Kasiyah's smile turned into a frown. Why was she here? She would find out soon but for now she had to get the message across to Pablo.
"Kasiyah hurry up, we want to play." said Tamari.
"We?" asked Kasiyah.
"Me and Pablo." he said in a duh tone.
"Ok Pablo, as you know you have been in care for quite some time and we have seen each other a lot."
He nodded.
"This home isn't temporary, so that means you won't be here forever, because you need to go somewhere where you can stay forever."
He nodded.
"Wait a minute Kasiyah I thought we were here to discuss-
"Shut up." said Pablo.
"Right. I want my home to be the place where you can stay forever, well at least the new home i'm moving into." she said.
Kasiyah was getting ready to move out of her apartment into a new house with 4 bedrooms. She had enough money for it because she had been working extra hours and shifts so she got bonuses from the agency.
"So I get my own room?" he asked.
"Yes you get your own room."
"Your going to be my mom?"
"Pablo, your mom's still here but when we are together you can call me whatever you like, there's no rush to call me mom."
"Thank you Kasiyah." he smiled jumping off of his seat and hugging her tight making Kasiyah's heart warm.
"I'm a father." fake cried Tamari burying his head in his hands. "Yall don't know how long Ive been waiting for this day."
Kasiyah slapped his back and he jumped up wincing in pain.
"I can't wait Kasiyah, thank you, thank you." he smiled.
Celebrations came to an end when the door swung open and in walked Asia. An out of breathe George followed after her saying, "I tried to tell her to stop, she didn't listen, I told her yall were talking." he said struggling to speak.
"Don't worry it's ok, you just go down to your mom."
"Is everything ok?" asked George's mom as she peeped through the door and they all nodded.
Asia stood at the door frame, arms crossed with a nasty glare on her face. "And you are here because?"
"Kasiyah's going to adopt me." smiled Pablo. He was too happy that he didn't even realise how mad his sister would be.
"She's going to what?."
"You heard him. ADOPT. A D O P T. ADOPT. A TO THE D O P T.", said Tamari.
"So you get closer to my family just to take the one thing we love."
"Thing?" said Kasiyah furrowing her brows.
"First of all female dog, ever heard the saying keep your friends close but keep your enemies close yeah, get to know." hollered Tamari.
"Asia please shut up, you refer to your brother as a thing there's no way I would let him stay anywhere near you guys." said Kasiyah with a bored expression on her face.
"He's coming with me, files are already done and Kamare payed for a few lawyers. Have fun with that."
"That's your problem Asia, you always want to make competition with females who are already winning, don't put yourself in a situation you can't handle." said Kasiyah.
The case was already done, Pablo would be moving in with her and there was no debate. Nobody knew the needs of kids more than Kasiyah.
"Watch me. Wait till my mama hears about this." she said walking out of the room.
"The girl couldn't even say bye to her brother, weirdo." said Tamari smacking his lips.
"Pablo are you ok?", asked Kasiyah.
"I'm fine, I'm ready for something new and a change." he smiled weakly.
"You and me both." said Kasiyah smiling at him.

Alexandra Bedford is a weapon, a young woman with telekinetic powers capable of leveling entire cities, born to fight in the desolate remains of post-apocalyptic North America. There is only one problem: she may be losing control of her abilities. Sixteen years after a global pandemic devastated the earth’s population, the lines in the old United States have been drawn between the Cheyenne Directorate in Colorado and the New England Alliance on the East Coast. The Directorate, of which Alexandra is a part, is a small but powerful organization dedicated to returning the country to its former glory. However, when a diplomatic mission to the New England Alliance goes wrong, Alexandra finds herself at the center of a bloody civil war. Battles are fought on the old highways and in dilapidated towns and once-great cities. And as the conflict escalates, all of North America faces the threat of being burnt away by nuclear fire. Against this backdrop of war, Alexandra tries to uncover the long-hidden secrets behind the plague, her abilities, and the two men fighting to decide the fate of the United States - Henry Bedford, Alexandra's father and leader of the Directorate, and John Martin, the mysterious figure at the heart of the New England Alliance who may hold the key to everything she seeks. None of this will matter, however, unless Alexandra can prevent the power growing inside her from taking over and consuming the very world she is fighting to save. Author's Notes: I appreciate you taking a look at my novel, The Girl from the Mountain. If you're a fan of post-apocalyptic fiction, military thrillers, and/or cosmic horror, I think you'll enjoy this story. I completed the novel's first draft back in 2011 and made significant changes in 2016. Since then, I've more-or-less sat on the manuscript while working on other projects. Thanks to a bit of prodding, I've decided to send this story out into the wild with some touch-ups and additional revisions. I welcome any comments or criticisms, and I hope you enjoy The Girl from the Mountain!
