Tremani stood up from his bench with Herb and went to the phone because he apparently had someone calling for him. Time went by and nothing new happens he just couldn't wait to be release from this place.

"Yes."

"This shit deep bro."

"What do you mean." he said trying to stay calm.

"Some girl bought your barber store months ago and the landlord only wants to tell me now."

"Ok after that.."

"The guy we want co owns the store Tremani."

"Imma call you later."

Tremani grew irritated at the news and went straight to his cells to laid on his bed. He opened a barber store a year ago, it was booming with many customers but when he got locked up he had no intel on the shop or what was going in there. It was only recently that he got a hold of his boy Jude's number.

After laying on his bed for a few minutes Herb came through to his cell to check up on him.

"Murda you good?"

"Yeah Herb."

"What you gonna do when you get out of here?"

"Ion knkw Herb you tell me what you finna do."

"Me and you going to get some damn food, because this shit worse than what they used to serve at the cafeteria." he said disgusted by the thought of the food.

"I'm gonna get out of here and go see my bitch." said Tremani chuckling.

"Your what? Ay say Tremani got a wife!" he semi yelled laughing.

"Cut that shit out, she ain't nobody's wife, she a lil sum sum."

"What's her name, don't tell me she one of them bitches like Asia the officer, her ass was weird as hell."

"Ion even know her name.", laughed Tremani.

"Nigga I know you lying." said Herb.

"Well then you don't know shit." replied

"For real though, Tremani I want to go back to school, I want to get a degree."

"You still young? 20 right? Go do that shit."

"I don't know where to start but Imma try for sho." he said smiling.

"Imma put you on." said Tremani. Tremani wanted to see his team win. "I need to go use the phone." he said getting off his bunk, receiving head nods from men.

Tremani was getting frustrated it was getting closer to his release date and the streets had been a little bit to quiet. As much as he hated to admit, he wanted to go and have his session with Kasiyah .

Kasiyah allowed him to have a peace of mind and to escape reality and he enjoyed that.

The jail was bustling with many men talking and a few fights breaking out here and there making Tremani and Herb shake their heads in disgust. Tremani knew he would miss the jail even if he didn't want to be there.

There were just some things that you can't forget about experiences like this. Being locked away from the world, to think was hard but having other men that you could crack up jokes with and talked too weakened the pain of being in the prison.

"Waddup I just spoke to you right now." said Jude.

"I'm calm now tell me what you was saying again."

"But I just told you-

"Say it again because believe it or not it went through one ear and out the other."

"Man when you hear shit you don't want to hear you really block it all out don't you?"

"Yeah I do."

Jude explained it all again.

"When I get out of here, tell Maz to get all the details ready, I want him off all records as if he never existed because when I get out he's dead meat."

"Ok Murda."

Tremani ended the call feeling stressed. Before he got locked up, there was a long-standing beef between him and another guy named TK.

TK and Tremani used to be best friends, everything they did they did it together. The whole drug business they had, the built it from the ground up, together. Unlike every broken business, they never fell out infact they kept the same tight bond.

What put their business at halt was when Tremani found out that TK and him had never actually ended their business. They both wanted good for ea vn other so ended it. But Tremani received a call saying that his package was ready and he was very confused.

He knew he stopped it all for a good two months so didn't know who it was for. Then the lady said that his partner purchased it. TK. The only reason Tremani even got a call was because the lady knew that they worked together and thought that what was TK's was Tremani's.

It then clicked. Tremani always figured out what was hard to others. The hardest puzzles were light work that's why he knew when people would steal his money or do something. It all made sense and he figured that when they called off the business TK continued to have packages come through with many of the workers in the trap house still working.

Tremani was big mad when he found out so the first thing he did was tell the lady that he would be on his way to pick up the package. He made his way there and it was only on his way back that blue blinking lights towered over his car and the feds caught him with the drugs leading him to be where he was. Prison.

"Inmate 306. Get up, you got to go."

Mind still racing he got up and walked into the room where the bonding session would be held. Men we're all over the room taking part in different activities. Some played uno while others were making cards with their daughters and sons. Other men were on another desk writing letters to their future selves and loved ones, few sat down painting pictures and colouring in pictures.

The colouring stand caught Tremani's eye and he went to go sit at the desk. Some would say it was a childish thing to do but Tremani liked it because it kept him calm. It was the only thing that he could keep in line and neat, especially because he was in control of the pen.

"Hey." he heard a little voice say and he looked up to see Kasiyah.

Kasiyah wore some joggers that hugged her curves and small booty, with a white tank top and her glasses. She had made little to no effort with her outfit because she felt that this session had to feel like proper bonding. She didn't want Tremani too feel like she was of higher status than him because of the way she dressed. She wanted to be abit more cool and relaxed so their session would be exactly that too.

Murda wandered over her with his eyes taking in her presence. She looked good.

"Why do you look like a bare bum?" he asked her concentrating on his colouring.

"Why are you colouring in a kindergarten book?" she asked with her arms folded.

"Don't say shit about me. I'm in prison what else am I supposed to do.", he said looking at her before returning to his book.

"Let's bond." she said with a bored expression.

"Sit down then."

"There's no more chairs, I'm going to go get one." she said looking for a seat and her eyes finally landed on one.

"Ahhh so you the wonderful miss Kasiyah." said Herb.

"Erm yes I am, and you are?"

"Herb, Murda's homeboy."

"Oh ok I just came to get-

"He's fine right?" said Herb switching his eyes from Kasiyah to Murda.

"If your coming out then just know I suppor-

"Do you like my homeboy or not?"

"Erm I'm gonna go."

"I'm just playing lil ma. Treat him right he has a tired heart, he need someone like you to put it's broken pieces back togehter." Herb said sternly.

Kasiyah's heart warmed at his words. "If you know your friend as much as you do, you'd know he doesn't make it easy to get through to him."

"Yeah I know, and he's gonna keep his guard up by Killing you softly with his song, and I don't mean literally singing but I mean with his words because that shit cuts deep but I know you got a strong heart."

"Thanks for the heads up" she said before turning around and returning to her table with Tremani.

"What did Herb want?", said Tremani.

"Oh nothing." she said resting her head in her hands as she admired him.

"Kasiyah Stop looking at me."he said with a light smile on his face.

"Awww your smiling." she said cooing at him.

"Kasiyah shut up."

"Your so mean."

"I already told you ion like your ass."

"Consider it a mutual feeling." she said smiling.

"You so weird, tell me more about you, we got to do something in this session."

"My mom said your my husband, don't worry I objected more than ten times because I would never. No offence but it would be a fat mistake." she said laughing but abit embarrassed.

"Really?", smirked Tremani. He was starting to get more interested. "So you talk about me to your fam?"

"Correction I talk about my job."

"How them kids of yours? I heard one of them on the phone, she's so cute." said Tremani still colouring in his picture.

"They are actually good, don't judge but I want to adopt them."

"Kasiyah why would I judge? It's what you want to do and I support it." he said looking up to face her.

Kasiyah's stomach flipped as butterflies formed in it.

"Plus it's rare that I say kids are cute, them little goblins are full of shit, if it's not mine then ion want it." he said scrunching his face at the thought.

Kasiyah shook her head but smiled because she was happy that they were getting along. She knew the past few weeks had been a little bit hard for him in the prison because she called his CO before the session.

His CO told her that he had nobody to return to after he got out of the prison. It broke Kasiyah's heart because she couldn't imagine her mama not letting her even crash at her house.

Tremani had a wall built up that nobody could break through, Kasiyah wasn't exactly trying to break through it she just wanted him to know that he was there for her even if it meant being on the other side of the wall.

"Come stay with me." she blurted out. She put her hand over her mouth because she was in shock with what she had said too.

"Kasiyah, you just made me go out of the line your so fucked up." he said dragging his hands over his face clearly frustrated.

"I didn't mean to say that it was just-

"What makes you think that I need to crash at your place?", the last thing Tremani needed was his CO to be spreading his business to Kasiyah.

He planned to get Jude to pick him up with a bag of money to pay for the hotel he would stay in. Simple and just as he liked it.

"I don't know, I just wanted you to have somewhere to stay to get you back on your feet."

"Pftttt Back on my mother fucking feet, Kasiyah if you ain't known I been on my feet and I ain't gonna loose them when I get out of here."

"Ok."

"Life's gonna be the same, just because I am not going to be in my cell doesn't mean life's going to change, different environment but the same mindset." he said.
