Friday
"Girl no. That shit is ugly" Maddison curled her lip up as she and Sarai walked out of their art class for dismissal.
Sarai sucked her teeth "Telfarbags are not ugly!" She frowned, then waved at Santana after she saw him waving at her first when he walked past her.
It seemed like the whole school knew about Semaj and Sarai having something going on. Semaj didn't hold back with the PDA when they were together.
Out of respect for them, Santana told her he didn't think they should talk as much anymore. Mainly because he had developed small feelings for her that she had no clue about.
She knows he asked her on a date but she thought he was just asking a harmless question. She didn't know it meant he saw her as more than just a friend. She felt bad now, she didn't want him to feel like she led him on or played him.
"Yes, they are. They're a waste of money too. That black purse I got was small as fuck. I was so mad" She ranted as Sarai listened to her and looked around for Carmen at the same time while they walked down the crowded hallway.
"It said Mini on the website Maddy" Sarai laughed, then rolled her eyes at Liberty and Asia leaning against the lockers eyeballing her. They were extremely annoying.
They always tried to throw slick subtweets at her over social media, and always made fake accounts to watch her after she blocked them. The looks had her wanting to say something but Sarai wasn't a confrontational type of person.
She just tried to ignore them the best she could.
All over a boy that doesn't want them and wants her. They always throw shots saying they don't understand what Semaj saw in her.
It made her more insecure about herself because she didn't know either. But she didn't want to say it out loud.
"Nooo. On that picture they had on the website, it looked much bigger. I was so pissed bruh, I jus' gave it to my little cousin" Maddison complained, rolling her eyes "I should've jus' got me a coach purse" She added as they walked up to Carmen.
"Hey bitchhh," Maddison smiled. Carmen looked up from her phone and smiled "Heyy, these freshmen are so damn annoying. Why were they walking down that hall talking loud as hell about some sophomore about to get jumped in the bus line by some freshman" She shook her head in disapproval as they stood there waiting for the boys.
Sarai's eyes grew big "What? They lame as fuck for that" Maddison scrunched her face up and Sarai nodded in agreement. It was a fight everyone had since the month started, she just knew they were going to end up on lockdown for the rest of the semester.
"Did you tell someone?" Sarai asked, she felt so bad for whoever the person is. They were getting plotted on when they were just trying to go home.
"Nah, a teacher was standing right there anyways. Their asses were loud as hell too so I kno' she heard them" She shrugged.
"Heard what?" Sarai jumped at the sound of Semaj's voice coming behind her. "You scared me" She smiled as he kissed her on the cheek repeatedly.
She wanted to turn her head to kiss his lips but she was scared. They haven't had their first kiss yet so she was very nervous.
"You look so pretty today" He complimented, fixing her name necklace around her neck. She blushed, causing her cheeks to turn slightly red "Thank you pooda"

"Now I'll be wrong if I tripped one of these muthafuckas runnin' down the damn hall like they ain' got no damn home training" Rell complained, coming over to where they were standing. They all turned around once they heard the commotion of people running, screaming about someone fighting.
Sarai shook her head, she hoped whoever was getting jumped, held their own. Unless they did something to deserve to be jumped.
"Let's go. I have ta' go get Boogie before he starts blowing my phone up" Sarai shook her head, knowing how Ka'jai got on Fridays. He be ready to go home to get on his game.
"You stayin' here or comin' with us?" Sarai asked, looking over at Semaj, who had his arm over her shoulder as they walked towards the black double doors. "Nah, me and some of the boys goin' ta' get something to eat before we gotta get ready." He informed her before allowing her to walk out the door first.
"Whatchu' gonna do before the game starts?" He asked.
"I have to go pick up my parent's and Boogie's shirts for the game later. Clean my room because I have yet to fold those clothes that have been in my basket for two weeks now" She rolled her eyes, agitated that she had to do that.
She missed the days when her mom would wash and fold her clothes.
All she had to do was put them up.
"Y'all got a shirt made jus' for me?" A slight smile graced his face.
"Duhh. You kno' they always come to support you at your games" She smiled back at him. Her parents truly loved all the boys, even Carmen and Maddison as their own children.
Justice and Nicole knew how hard of a struggle it was for Sarai to make friends, to know all of them had her back since they met her was enough for them to call them and treat them as family.
Every basketball game in the past since middle school for Semaj, her parents were right in the front row of the bleachers supporting and cheering him on. For every event that pertains to the band for JB, her parents were there supporting him. Even though Rell didn't last in football, when he did play, her parents were there.
They never missed a game or event for them. Unless they were at work and even then they would try to get off in enough time to come.
"I was jus' gettin' shirts made for me, Leelee, and your dad but my parents said they wanted one too." She chuckled then gasped once they made it to her car "Should I have got Ms. Gina a shirt too?" She asked, unlocking the doors for them.
Semaj just shrugged, "I doubt she will show up foreal," He said.
Sarai frowned "But she said she would come when you told her about the game," She said. She was glad Semaj was finally giving Gina a chance. She knew how he chose to not get close because he didn't want to be let down.
Sarai knew Ms. Gina because she worked at her mom's salon. She's always been sweet since she met her. She used to try to get Semaj to see that too but he refused every time.
Now that he is, she was proud of him.
Semaj shrugged carelessly again "I learned not ta' get my hopes up about a lot of things mama." He wrapped his arms around her waist, putting his head in the crook of her neck.

"I think she's comin' foreal, pooda. You gotta have a little faith in her, she isn't like everyone you know?" She rubbed her fingers on the back of his neck. He just hummed in response, she hated this for him. He shouldn't feel like everyone was going to abandon him or let him down.
He deserved so much better than that.
"Let me go, I'll see you later okay?" She tried to pull away but he just held her tighter to him. She started laughing "Semajjj, let me gooo. I have to go" She giggled, feeling him softly kissing on her neck
Sparking up goosebumps on her skin, she felt a shiver creep down her back and her kitty started to feel moist. She started getting nervous and embarrassed at the feeling she got between her legs.
She never felt that before, she doesn't know or understand if it was supposed to be happening.
"Zyair you have to let me go. Something is wrong wit' my kitty" She whispered to him. She knew it wasn't her period because she just got off last week. She just knew her panties were now damp.
She hoped she didn't pee herself.
Semaj busted out laughing, making her even more embarrassed. She brown skin was turning red now, she wanted to crawl into a hole and cry the more he laughed at her.
"Yo' what?" He chuckled, pulling away to look at her face. He frowned when he saw she wasn't looking at him and had a slight pout on her lips. "My kitty. Now bye," She said in a small voice, moving her arms from around him.
"I—We'll talk about it later baby" He chuckled before leaning down to kiss her cheek.
No, we won't.

"I'm lookin' for a yellow bone long-haired star (star)
Thick in the hips come and get in my car (Soulja)" The TikTok sound played out loud as Ka'jai and Sarai did the popular trend going around.
Sarai laughed once her part in the video was over. She took her phone from Ka'jai, and they sat down on the bleachers beside their parents, looking over the video.
She typed 'Spoiled and broke little brother who's always asking for things.' then typed 'Big sister who's goin' to swipe her card for everything he asks for'
"You want me to post it?" She asked, Ka'jai nodded before putting his head on her arm. She posted the video first on Tik tok before going to her Instagram to post it on her story too. She looked up and sighed at how packed the gym was starting to get. Her school had the biggest gym in their county, so it getting packed the way it was had her anxiety high.
"Angel" She heard being called out. She leaned back to see it was her dad trying to get her attention "Yes?" She asked.
"Who are those two little girls on the cheer team that keeps lookin' up hea'?" He asked, then looked back down.
Sarai looked down at the bottom of the floor, seeing Asia and Liberty looking at her while everyone waited for the game to start. She rolled her eyes "Those girls I told y'all about that's mad about me and Semaj" She shook her head.
"Mm. I fight teenagers, they betta' watch it'' Nicole grumbled, looking down at them, mugging right along with her dad.
They didn't play any of those types of games. They knew all about Asia and Liberty picking on Sarai over a boy. Nicole wanted to take it to the principal but Sarai refused.
She didn't want to be labeled a snitch. She was already labeled the weirdo girl.
"Hey y'all" They all looked up seeing Carmen walking up the bleachers with Terrance and Gina following behind her. Sarai tried not to stare at Gina, she knew she was pregnant because Semaj told her. She just wondered if she told Terrance yet.
She was excited. She loved babies.
"Hi Ms. Gina and Mr. Terrance" She smiled, standing up to hug them. Terrence pulled back from the hug and laughed at her shirt "Oh you went all out huh? Why I ain't get a picture?" He teased.
Sarai smiled looking down at her black shirt. She had a picture of Semaj and her from the game of him taking their team to the championship last year. She had the words in silver glitter Semaj's last name and his number thirty jersey number.
"I didn't have a picture of y'all together. He told me to put this picture on here anyways" She chuckled, sitting in Carmen's lap since she sat down where Sarai was sitting. Terrance just laughed, going to greet her parents with Gina.
"Boogie, you cheated on me first wit' Maddy so I'on wanna hear it" Carmen playfully mushed Ka'jai's head. He sucked his teeth "I was jus' bein' nice to her because she was sittin' in the back. You kno' you're my favorite" He smirked.
She straight-faced him "Nah you were bein' friendly and I don't like that. We over sir, I'll send you the ring back"
Ka'jai started mugging her "I leave you shorty. You don't leave me" He looked at her funny. Sarai and Carmen both started dying laughing at him.

"C'mon ref! That was a false call and you know it!" Gina threw her hand up in the air. "Terrance... they're gonna make me get on court foreal if they keep fouling him" Gina shook her head in annoyance, sitting back down next to her boyfriend.
"I know baby" Terrance chuckled, putting his arm around her shoulder.
It was now the fourth quarter with fifteen seconds left on the clock. Both teams were tied with hundred points on the board.
Semaj didn't come to play tonight, racking most of the points on the board. This game was very important because they were playing the school around the corner from them.
Their rival team.
Everyone was sitting on the edge of their seats. Both schools have been talking trash to each other over social the past two weeks. It was always a big competition between the two schools. Even people that didn't live in their district came for the game. The football games and basketball games were always passed on game day with these schools.
"He's gonna be so mad if they lose" Sarai groaned, with her leg bouncing up and down. Both teams were halted in circles on their sides. Sarai could hear her heart beating outside of her chest, a lot of pressure was on Semaj because he was the star player.
Everyone expected so much from him, especially with this game.
This was also a home game. You couldn't let your rivals come into your Territory and whoop you in your own home.
It seemed like cheating was going on though. The refs were playing fair at the beginning of the game but now it seemed like they weren't. They would call every foul on their team but when it came to the opposing team, they were acting oblivious to the fouls.
Sarai saw one too many times of someone on the other side getting aggressive with Semaj but was never called out on it.
But when Semaj hit a boy in the face with his elbow, they tried to take him out of the game.
"It's okay, best. He's goin' to take all his frustration out on you'' Maddison smirked, creepily wiggling her eyebrows.
Carmen started gagging "Ew, please let's not speak that up" She shook her head disgusted now.
Sarai frowned, not liking the sound of that at all "Noo, I don't want him to do that" She whined. She knew how cranky and fast-tempered Semaj was. She didn't want to be yelled out.
Carmen and Maddison busted out laughing at her not catching onto the double meaning. She was extremely innocent and clueless, it was always so funny to them. She knew zero knowledge about sex or sexual pleasures. She's never even pleasured herself if fears she might be doing it wrong.
The boys got back into the game. Sarai watched Semaj closely, she could feel her toes curling up in her black and white dunks. Semaj had the ball before crossing it over to another teammate. Sarai glanced at the time seeing it was seven seconds left on the clock.
The boy looked around, trying to find an opening as he dribbled the ball between his legs. Not having one, he crossed the ball back over to Semaj. "Oh, shit" Sarai and everyone else stood up in the bleachers. It was as if everything was going in slow motion while watching the ball in the air. It went into the white hoop right when the buzzer went off.
"YESSSIRRRR!!!" Everyone exclaimed with excitement at Semaj making the winning score.
"That's what I'm talkin' bout boy!" Terrance aggressively clapped his hands. He was always proud of his son in everything he did, besides Sarai, he was his second number fan.
Everyone was jumping up and down, most happy that they didn't lose their money and some happy they made some money. The band started playing the famous victory song. They don't usually perform at basketball games but with this one being such a big game in the season, they had to.
"That's my muthafuckin' man!" Sarai slapped her chest and then frowned, wondering why she would hit herself so hard like that. Carmen and Maddison were laughing in tears at her. She had been cracking them up the whole game just from doing and saying dumb shit.
"YOU PUSSIES THOUGHT YALL COULD WIN?! YOU PUSSIES THOUGHT YALL COULD WIN?!" The famous saying was only heard in the gymnastics along with music blasting through the speakers.
Sarai started laughing, her school was so petty. It was never any real bad blood or beef between the schools because they were both the best schools in the district. They just took sports and wanted to be number one very seriously.
"I love this school bruh" Carmen chuckled, recording the around the gym of their school still celebrating their win.

"So when are you gonna tell him?" Semaj leans over the counter of the kitchen, talking to Gina as she washed the dishes.
"Tomorrow. It's date night so I'm goin' to surprise him. I went to the doctor earlier and found out I'm ten weeks." She smiled, putting the plastic cup on the other side of the sink with the clean dishes.
"Do you kno' if it's a boy or girl yet?" He asked. He really wanted a little sister, he liked being the only boy.
She shook her head with a small laugh "No I don't kno' yet. I think I can't find out until I'm further along in the pregnancy. I'on kno' this my first time being pregnant, I'm too old for this" She chuckled, rinsing the clean dishes off with hot water
Semaj nodded in agreement "You are pretty old. Aren't you like fifty?" He wondered, leaning off the counter.
"I'm only thirty-nine!" She splashed water on him causing Semaj to jump from how hot the water was. "Go to yo' room. Bye, Ray is up thea' waiting for you'' She chuckled, now drying to glass cups off with the dry cloth towel. After celebrating a big victory with everyone, Sarai asked her parents if she could have a sleepover at Semaj's house.
They used to easily allow her to do it when they were just friends but now that they spoke up about their feelings, her parents were hesitant and it took a lot of convincing. A lot of things were going to be cut short now that they expressed their feelings to each other but Semaj was okay with him. He didn't plan on doing anything sexual with Sarai, at least not yet.
He didn't care about anything sexually yet. He just wanted her to know and trust him to commit to her right now. Sexual pleasures will come later in life.
"You're right but thank you fa' comin' to my game today" He slightly smiled. He really didn't think she would come, he honestly forgot he even asked her. When he saw her walking into the gym with his dad and being the loudest one yelling other than JB and Sarai's mom, his heart felt warm.
"Of course. I told you I would, I want to come to more if that's okay wit' you" She smiled, putting the dry cups in the rightful cabinets.
Semaj nodded "Yeah that's cool. I have some more next week, I'll let you kno' what days and times" He stated, pulling his falling sweatpants up some.

8 197Thief of Time
[Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Book 1: The Legend of Tot Synopsis: Claud Primus, a self-declared master thief, has a simple goal. To live forever. It's a rather easy task, for miraculous objects called lifestones are able to extend one's lifespan. These lifestones are best found in the treasuries of nobles, lovely resorts that Claud pays a visit to every so often. Unfortunately, one of those nightly visits go awry, and Claud is forced to escape with just a single lifestone and a box in hand. Normally, that's when things die down. The guards yawn, the gates close, and the night continues. But this time, the night isn't that forgiving. A dozen schemes result in the murder of someone important, and with a convenient scapegoat — Claud — at hand, it doesn't take long for him to be framed as a heinous criminal, wanted for the indirect murder of someone high up...and it just gets worse from there. Book 2: The Moon Lords' Rise Synopsis: As ordered chaos sweeps across Licencia, Claud leaves for Julan Barony, intent on making some profits there. Accompanied by the erstwhile heiress of Julan, a fellow member of the Moon Lords, the two plot against the barony's wealth...as well as a promise to bring about its downfall. Meanwhile, back home, the Moon Lords have busied themselves with digesting their gains. Eyes, however, are beginning to turn to this proverbial fish in a small pond. The fishermen are coming. When they cast their hook, what will Dia and the others do? Book 3: Murders under the Moons Synopsis: In the sleepy town of Nachtville, where Claud and Lily are forced to stop at, a set of nasty murders occurs. Victims scream out in fright, before a spear falls from the sky to end their suffering. Cowed and cautious, the master thief and his partner slink in the shadows, their objective that of home... A new task, however, has fallen on Dia. With a trusty helper at her side, she has to set off towards Nachtville itself, to solve the mystery Claud had abandoned. Faced with an enemy whose sole skillset is geared towards killing, how will they succeed? And what dark secrets will they find? Book 4: In the Dark of the Moons Synopsis: The year has ended. The four months of the full moons will soon be followed by two months of the new moons. Duke Istrel's ascension is around the corner. Amidst this political upheaval, Count Nightfall, Licencia's strongest defender, has been called away. The Moon Lords' largest task yet — to protect Licencia in the absence of its ruler — has begun. And yet, trouble is unrelenting. A distinguished personage, one that Claud fears, has been found dead in the county, his brains dug out and his body disemboweled. The inquisitors of the White Church have been dispatched to investigate and apprehend the murderer...as well as the person behind this puppet. Tormented by a call to fight, Claud directs his eyes out of the city, looking for the puppetmaster. Skulking in the shadows, the master thief will soon confront his greatest foe yet. A foe just like him. Book 5: Moonlit Tides and Darkened Seas Synopsis: A new era has begun. For the privileged, the sands of time dribble away for every passing moment, counting down to the arrival of a entity of mythical proportions. The night now harbours shadows and fog, and operatives of the Moons and the Dark clash in shadow. Claud, as usual, is investigating a spate of nasty disappearances in the city, but little does he know what these disappearances truly mean. And yet, a tide is coming. When it finally breaks, what will he do? Book 6: Secrets in Shadow Synopsis: The person behind a strike that would enter the annals of history flees his home, bringing with him the person closest to his heart into a new land and into a new world. Having left Istrel for the first time in his life, the two of them attempt to settle down in foreign lands, only to be caught in the middle of hostilities between two mighty powers grappling for dominion. Yet, none of that has anything to do with him. Following his desires, Claud eventually makes his way to the fabled Celestia Ruins, a fragment of another world. Bearing witness to truths he cannot yet comprehend, he returns from his exploration, a small break away from the machinations of destiny. One thing, however, is for certain. Destiny will not wait for him. Book 7: Reddest Rage Synopsis: Destiny churns on, heedless of mortal machinations, and Claud watches as the battlegrounds between the Moons and the Dark are drawn up. With the forces of the great Dark occupying Lostfon, Claud comes to a startling realisation — that he may have very well be a murderer of heinous proportions. Grappling with that realisation, he struggles to prepare for his Second Tutorial... Back in Istrel, Dia finds herself confronted with a perennial truth. Even in a time of writhing destiny, the machinations between nobles never cease to end — and unfortunately for her, the group once known as the Moon Lords are forced into dealing with a petty squabble between two counts. What they didn't account for, however, was the startling discovery they would soon make... And the shadow of the Red God's Holy Son behind it all. Book 8: Darkness Descends Synopsis: Nightmares haunt the horizon as Claud sinks and awakens from a seeming dream. What was once illusory begins to play out before him, in a way he cannot imagine. Dia, forced to wield arms, begins and ends a battle that opens her eyes to the vast dangers that lurk in this sundered world. Under the banner of humanity and divinity, she beholds the silent, forgotten protectors of Orb...but there is no forgetting the battle between the divinities. The Dark descends, the Moons writhe, and the horns of war blow once more. But this is not their battle. Not yet. Book 9: Moons Muster Synopsis: As more and more events fall into place, Claud finds himself desperate. Not for himself, but for the person who has turned into his world. Armed with the knowledge of a certain future, he approaches the only person that could possibly help him in his time of need, trading information for a promise of help. With that as solace, he returns to the grim task of understanding and seeking, revisiting an ancient, shattered fragment of another world...unleashing changes that he never knew was possible. Back in Istrel, Dia and the others must now navigate around a familiar spirit, who seeks to investigate the death of his master's Bearer. With them as prime suspects, the Seekers of Life must move carefully...but the Coloured Gods are not the only divinities eyeing them closely. The Moons, bristling from repeated defeats, are looking for new recruits, and the Seekers of Life are prime cannon fodder. Above all, destiny marches on, the unfeeling clock a warning to all. The Trial of Aeons will soon arrive. Book 10: Destiny Divine Synopsis: ??? Release frequency: one every few days or something, I guess.
