"I still can't get over the fact that this man is going to be delivering the baby. He look like he should be on one of those doctor shows." Kenzo joked. We were finishing up the appointment. Dr. Jansen left out. Everything with the baby was good to go, lungs and everything's right on schedule.
Nelson's not here, but he did like the repost on my page. He couldn't notify me to tell me if he was coming or not but made sure to like my post.
He can be mad, upset, or even pissed off; that post was nothing but the truth.
"You're so silly." I giggled, knowing he was telling the truth. Dr. Jansen's a nice looking man. He has dark blonde hair, blue eyes and he's Australian. His scruffiness is what sells it, the five I clock shadow and his visible fitness.
I glimpsed over to Zo. He had on his hoodie and some athletic joggers. Before coming inside the examination room, he wore the hood on his head, black shade, and a baseball cap when he came in. He now had his hood down and shades off. We were successful in getting him in without being noticed.
"Touching all over you." He mumbled, scratching the back of his head. I could tell he was thinking about this topic heavily, with his slow responses.
"You mad?" I smiled, and he sucked his teeth. "He's very professional Kenzo."
"Yeah, yeah. He better watch it is all I'm saying." He said very seriously. I thought it was hilarious.
"Stop it, besides so what if he is feeling me this momma right here is single." I pointed to myself.
His eyes shot up at me. "Don't play with me. You and I both know that is technically not true."
"Oh really, who am I with then?" I scrunched my face.
"Don't worry about all that, just know that you're not available." He spoke low.
I made a snorkeling sound. He couldn't be serious.
"I don't see anything funny." He sort of glared at me.
"Kenzo you can have just about any girl you want. You're single, and you could easily find someone. Not sure why you're pressed about a good looking man being my doctor. He's just doing his job."
"Can you stop? I don't care to hear any of this."
"It's true," I said under my breath. Now I'm irritated. Maybe it's the hormones or the fact my baby daddy didn't show up. I don't know, but everything is getting to me. I just found out my best friend is moving away, so it could be that or the fact that this situation with Kenzo is not healthy for me. Especially with these thoughts of him getting tired of me and moving on constantly racking my brain.
He sat back in the chair quietly. We waited for Dr. Jansen to return.
"Hey Ms. Thompson, everything looks good. Here's some information you can look over. I'll see you at the next appointment. Go ahead and schedule for next month, but if you have any problems come in." He handed me the paperwork.
"Thank you, Dr. Jansen."
"Mr. Martin, good seeing you again." He waved bye to Kenzo. He smiled waving back in the same manner. Dr. Jansen then left out.
I got up, grabbed my bag and sweater then walked toward the door. Kenzo put his hoodie and shades back on and followed behind. We didn't say anything.

It bothers me, me being so emotional. I'm usually the strong one that can get through everything. I had a plan and its crumbling. I said I was going to stay focused, work, and finish school. Then after I had my baby, I would be on my journey to starting my residency. I didn't factor in my best friend leaving, Nelson being an asshole and me now in an emotional roller coaster with the Kenzo Martin.
We made our way out to my Camry. I hadn't driven it in so long. I figured we could take it since we didn't want to be seen anyway.
I went to the door with opening it in mind, but was stopped. Kenzo touched my hand, gaining my attention.
"I'll drive, I want to take you somewhere." He grabbed my hands, turning me to face him. He then wiped at my eyes. I was yet again crying.
"Where?"
"Just somewhere we can talk, we need to have a serious conversation about us."
"Fine."
He walked me over to the passenger seat and helped me inside. He swiftly made his way back over to the driver side and adjusted the seat. It's a little funny seeing him in my used average styled car. I had this car ever since I graduated high school.
His phone started ringing, he answered. It was Benjamin. He told him to meet him over where we were headed just in case we had any trouble.
"You look funny, driving my car." I giggled as we buckled up.
"Be quiet. I look good in anything I drive." He smiled, pulling out of the parking lot. We stopped at a drive-thru to get something quick to eat.
We pulled up to a park, it was known for walking and hiking. It was a beautiful day, the sun was out, but it wasn't scorching this time of year. The wind lightly blew.
The New Year holiday came by and went. The weather never changed, not surprising in California. We got out and grabbed our trash to discard. I was full, so walking it off was the best thing to do.
"Give me kiss first." He tugs on my shirt, smiling at me. I obliged, and for a moment it felt like all my problems and worries were gone.
I got closer to him, deepening the kiss. He tilted his head up a little brushing his top lip up against mine. He wanted in. So I let him in, I leaned to the side so he could do whatever he wanted.
His hands were wrapped around me, caressing my back. I let out a breathy moan, which made him reach around and grab my face.
"Damn." He moaned into my lips. Then pulled away, then went on to rub my stomach. I smiled at him with my breathing still heavy.
He stepped away from me, and in the very next moment, I felt watched. So I looked around the parking in every direction. I saw nothing out of the ordinary.
I brushed it off, thinking I was paranoid because we're out in the open.
We went the entire time at the doctors' office without being noticed, by anybody other than the doctor.
"What you said bothered me —I don't feel single. Even when I'm away from you, I talk about you to the guys just like they talk about their wives." He stated while holding my hand. We were walking the trail.

"Its confusing Kenzo, just like everything else in my life."
"I know, and I don't want to disrupt your life with all my crazy—" He started to say but was interrupted by some random lady screaming while running over to us.
"I know that body from anywhere. You're Kenzo Martin." She yelled out, screaming even louder. She jumped up and down panting.
"Fuck!— Diri stand behind me I'm going to try and calm her down." He pulled me behind him. I nodded then pulled out my phone, trying to act busy.
The woman looked to be our age around twenty- five or twenty-six. She walked closer to us.
"Yeah, it's me. I don't mean to be rude, but can you lower your voice?" He spoke low to her. She nodded.
"May I have a picture? Can you sign right here, I have a marker." She pointed to her bra-less pierced breast that was busting out of her shirt. Really?
He went on to take the picture. She stood beside him wrapping her arms around him. I stood directly behind him face down into my phone.
Unlike Kenzo, I had on a simple t-shirt and a pair of blue jeans. My pregnancy is obvious. There's no hiding it at this point.
"I'll sign but not right there." He grabbed the marker from her.
"Ok you can just sign my shirt at the bottom, thank you." She smiled at him.
"No problem." He signed and handed her the marker back. She started screaming again and now crying.
"You have no idea how much you've inspired my life. I love you so much. I feel like we are connected. Keep doing what you're doing; you've helped so many people. I can't believe I spotted you. I knew we were destined. I dreamed about this, Kenzo I love you, you hear me." She stated through sobs trying to grab for him. He blocked her hands from touching him further, by stretching his hands out between them keeping distance.
People began making their way over noticing the scene.
"Thank you, but I gotta' get going." He removed her hands from his arms.
He was trying his best not to curse her out.
She now cried harder. "Thank you for this. I mean it. If you ever want to settle down, I'm here. I'm here, Kenzo. I'm here."
"Bye now." He grabbed my arm, and as he turned back around to walk, people were running up with their cameras.
"Shit." He pulled me close to him and took his phone out to call Benjamin. "Where you at?"
"Aight, yeah." He ended the call. I tried hiding my face. I'm not sure if they got a good picture or not.
The paparazzi made their way in front of us, shouting questions.
"Hey, Kenzo, is that your girlfriend?" The first one spoke.
"Oh my, Kenzo is she pregnant?" The second one added.
"Kenzo do you think you're going all the way this year, are you focused?" The first one asked another question.
"Back up!" He tried to move, but we were somewhat surrounded.
"Get the fuck out my way." He pushed the camera out of his face. I had my face buried in his back near his shoulder.
"Kenzo, do you have a baby on the way." Another one asked coming closer to us.
"Ahh," I screamed, jumping a little. They were trying to put a camera in my face and bumped my arm in the process.
"I just told you to back the fuck up!" He mushed the camera, making the man stumble. When he did that all the other cameras started to flashing even quicker. I quickly went back to hide my face. It was too late.
Bo, Tyson, and Benjamin came rushing over. They pushed through moving the crowd of people out of the way.
"Ok, back off. That's enough." Bo stated. They finally got to u. My heart was beating so fast and loud. I could barely hear anything.
"Move it." Tyson instructed the crowd.
"Come on baby, you ok?" Kenzo shouted over the crowd of people swarming. He looked me over concerned. I nodded, squeezing his hand as we made it out to Benjamin.
"Dira give me your keys. Tyson will be driving your car," Benjamin stated, and I didn't even realize he was speaking to me.
Kenzo handed him the keys then gestured for me to get in the Escalade. As soon as I got in and seated, I breathed out, releasing the built-up pressure from my chest.
"Shit," Kenzo mumbled seated next to me.
We got settled in. He pulled me close to him. "Are you sure you're ok, Diri?"
"Yeah I'm fine, it was scary. I can't believe that just happened." I rubbed my nervous moist hands down my jeans.
"I should've called the team sooner. I put you in danger. People can get crazy. Luckily we got out of there."
"Yeah."
"I wanted to spend the day out with you, but that's canceled. The paparazzi will be following me everywhere to get this story."
"I guess I need to let my family know about us." I frowned.
"Cat's out of the bag now. Try telling them as soon as you can. I'm going to have to make a statement or something. I can't lie to my fans."
"I'll tell them tomorrow. I'll go over to their house and tell them."
"I'll come by too, so you won't have to tell them by yourself." He leaned over and grabbed my face cupping it in his hands. I gave him a weak smile. He pulled my face closer to his and planted a slow passionate kiss on my lips.
"Ok?" He pulled apart, still holding my face.
"Ok." I nodded, taking a much needed deep breath.
I sat back in my seat, trying to wrap my head around everything. I can hear all the negative crap that's going to get said about me. I sighed.
"It's going to be ok." He rubbed my thigh. "They still don't know who you are. It's only a matter of time so we should definitely tell your family."
I nodded. We were now on our way to Kenzos house, Tyson followed distantly behind.
"I really wanted to take you out and finish getting stuff for baby girl. Something to cheer you up a little from earlier, but I wanted to stop in the park first to get somethings off of our chest."
"It's fine. We'll figure it out later." I said, really exhausted. I leaned my head over on his shoulder and fell into a deep somber.

"I get the feeling this story might be one of those 'diamonds in the rough'. The premise is quite solid, there's plenty of room to flesh out the characters. It's quite easy to get into and be engaged by at the moment, imo. I don't know where the story will go from here, but it's off to a good start me thinks." - Xenower Attribution: The cave picture in the book cover is made by Stanislav Sedov and is licensed under CC-BY-SA-2.0 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.0/ This picture was modified from the original with an overlaid moon and sea picture to be found at https://www.flickr.com/photos/ssedov/26342569905 The photographer has no affiliation to Tschallacka nor can be held accountable for the use of this picture the way as it is here.
