ina's eyes roamed over his broad chest that still had droplets on it. One droplet rolled from his chest down to his six-pack and then continued its journey, though she couldn't see because the towel-covered its final destination.
Nina glanced up at Tristan when she heard him clear his throat.
"Is there something you need?" he asked, with a raised eyebrow.
Yes, you.
"What's going on with you?"
Tristan's brows knitted together as he continued to stare at her. He opened the door wider and motioned for her to come inside.
Nina stepped inside and noticed his room was larger than hers. He had a California king-sized bed as well. His curtains were black and so was his comforter.
Nina looked back at him with a questioning look.
"I like the color black," he said, with a shrug.
Tristan looked at her and his eyes raked over her curves and stopped at her chest. She knew he could see her nipples through the satin nightgown but she couldn't help it. The way he stared at her caused her body to warm and react to him without him even touching her.
God, she had it bad.
"You still haven't answered me."
Tristan stepped closer to her like he was a lion stalking his prey. Nina stepped back and he continued to walk towards her until her back hit the dresser.
"Why do you care so much?" he asked, tilting her chin up so she was staring directly at him.
Nina licked her lips and she noticed his eyes zeroed in on her mouth. He ran the pad of his thumb across the bottom of her lip. Nina inhaled sharply and she lowered her lashes.
"You...you told me that I can come to you if anything was bothering me. I want to offer you the same olive branch."

Tristan hummed in understanding.
"You don't need to worry about me, sweetheart. I can handle myself." His thumb slowly swiped her bottom lip again and Nina whimpered.
"Don't..." Nina didn't know why she said don't. Her body wanted him to continue but her mind told her she needed to get the hell out of his room.
Tristan tilted her head to the side.
He whispered into her ear, "Don't what?"
His whispering caused tingles against her skin. It hit her right between her thighs causing her to instantly get wet.
"Answer me," he said, in a deep husky tone.
Nina placed her hands against his damp chest.
"I really want to kiss you. Can I?" he asked. His mouth was only inches away from hers.
Nina nodded. "Yes."
Nina gasped when Tristan placed his lips against her own. She whimpered when he nibbled at her bottom lip, wanting an entrance. Nina opened her mouth and she noticed how Tristan tasted of warmth and mint.
Tristan pulled her closer against his chest and she wouldn't want it any other way. Tingles of electricity ran up and down her spine as Tristan deepened the kiss. Nina needed to come up for air before her lungs burst but she didn't want the kiss to end.
Nina's conscience told her to push him away. But she couldn't do it because she had wanted him to kiss her as soon as she entered his bedroom.
Tristan kissed her one last time before he stepped back from her. His breathing was haggard as she stared up at him. He quickly looked away from her and walked over to the door to open it.
"You should go to bed," he said, with his eyes downcast towards the floor.
"Tristan-"
Tristan raised his hand. "It's been a long day. I just want to rest."

Nina rushed out of his bedroom without a second glance.
Nina was glad it was Saturday. She needed some girl time with Tasha. That's what she was doing now. She was waiting for Tasha to show up at the mall. She was standing by one of the clothing stores that always had deals going.
Nina glanced at the time on her phone, noticing Tasha was ten minutes late. She was used to her friend being late to anything they had planned.
Nina laughed when she finally saw Tasha running towards her, gaining the stares of other shoppers giving her weird looks. Tasha finally reached her and was bent over trying to catch her breath.
"Are you okay?" Nina asked, still laughing.
Tasha stood up and placed her hand on her hip. She was still gasping for air.
"I'm fine. Traffic was horrible."
Nina playfully rolled her eyes. "That's why I told you to leave an hour earlier."
Tasha shrugged.
"I'm here now. Let's shop."
Nina and Tasha strolled into the store. Tasha was the first one to pick a green and yellow maxi dress. It wasn't Nina's taste but it was good for Tasha's eccentric taste in fashion.
"So, what juicy news did you have to tell me?" Tasha asked, still inspecting the dress.
Nina was glancing at a cute red dress and said, "Tristan and I kissed."
Tasha glanced at her with wide eyes and raised eyebrows. "You did what?"
"It happened last night," she said, putting the dress back on the rack.
One of the store clerks with long red hair and freckles asked them if they needed help with anything. They both politely declined.
Tasha smiled. "I knew this was going to happen."
Nina moved on to a cute red crop top.
"What do you mean you knew?"
"My intuition has never failed me. I had a feeling you two would kiss."
Nina shook her head and chuckled.
"How was the kiss?" she asked, picking up a pair of blue jeans.
"The best I've ever had."
Tasha squealed and hugged Nina.
"Okay, so what happened after that?"
Nina sighed. "He told me to leave his room."
Tasha frowned. "That's it?"
Nina shrugged. "He said he had a long day and needed to rest."
"Sounds like he's scared."
"Scared of what?"
Nina grabbed the red crop top and a pair of black skinny jeans. She couldn't help but think of the look on Tristan's face if he saw her wearing it.
"He's scared of you."
