Beatrix is extremely beautiful, highlighted with very light make-up, expensive head accessories, and pieces of jewelry while her figure is absolutely attractive and stunning in her grand and regal blue dress intended for this happy occasion.

She walks gracefully and perfectly allowing her exquisite, long, and flowing dress to smoothly slide on the carpeted floor, catching the breath of everyone as they saw her walk slowly towards where the imperial family is situated...

She is a perfect picturesque of celestial beauty, charm, grace, nobility, and perfection but Prince Andrew is feeling that there is something strange, cold, distant, and different from her... Their eyes met and he does not see the usual light in her eyes and the overwhelming happiness and excitement on her face because of overflowing and seemingly endless love for him... What he saw in her eyes are extreme anger, annoyance, and mockery! He chose to trust her and remain calm. He gave her his loving and reassuring smile but she blatantly ignored it! Something is wrong but he cannot ask her this time...

I will ask her after the event. Hopefully, it is nothing serious...

Beatrix smiled so sweetly as she saw the two princes standing side by side.

Well, at least, it appears that Andrew did not play tricks. I should be able to successfully choose Anders this time and save myself from certain doom!

Prince Andrew seems calmer and happier while Prince Anders looks so down and defeated. She felt so worried...

Does Anders did not want me to pick him so that is why he looks like a loser? I am sorry, Anders but you do not have a choice. You need to marry me and save me from your jinx imperial brother! I do not want to die again because of him!

She composed herself and started her simple speech.

"We grew up together so we do have a lot of happy memories. From the moment I saw you, I knew that you will be my special someone someday. Day by day, you always treat me right. You never asked for anything in return. You are always there for me so I guess the time has come for me to be there for you too..." She happily smiled as she looked at the two princes.

Prince Andrew sighed in relief and smiled expectantly waiting for her to announce his name to everyone like her promise all this time.

I am really overthinking and unnecessarily scaring myself!

But his world shattered and all of his dreams fell into complete ruin when she delivered her next words! She focused her eyes on Prince Anders...

"Prince Anders, will you let me be the person to marry you and grow old with you?" She happily expressed her intention to marry Prince Anders!

After everyone heard her last statement, they are very surprised but all their feelings and emotions paled in comparison to a certain someone who felt so shocked, so betrayed, so down, so hurt, so devastated and many other mixed emotions at that exact time!

No... No... I only heard it wrong! Beatrix promised me... She said that she loves me and will only marry me... She vowed that she will be my wife, the mother of all my children, and my soulmate in this lifetime and the next... My Beatrix will never lie to me! She will never give me false hope! She will never hurt me and leave me in the end! My Beatrix will never do that...

He froze as he could not believe it! He could not accept how things turned out this way? It took a long time for the new information to finally sink in and once it did, he felt that someone stabbed his heart multiple times, put salt and chili on its wound, mercilessly grabbed it out of his chest, and stomped it again and again on the ground!

He saw her happily approach his imperial brother... They talked as if everyone did not matter to them! She looked, smiled, and talked to his brother like he is not beside them! Like she did not know him and he did not matter to her!

Beatrix, you said that it is me whom you truly love and want to marry... Why did you lie to me?!! You even made a serious vow to heaven and said sweet things to me... You made my heart believe you thoroughly! Are all those words pure lies from the very beginning?

Prince Andrew is just near Prince Anders and Beatrix but it seems that for the first time, his mind stopped working! He could not understand what they are talking about! He suddenly felt alone and lonely... His mind and heart are starting to feel empty as darkness and coldness slowly creep into them... He could see his imperial brother's happy and satisfied smile while talking to her which only means tragedy for him!
