Little Prince Andrew woke up very early and proceed to Little Beatrix's courtyard. He wants to ask her to play chess with him. If she does not want to, he will ask her what she likes to play! He is very familiar with her assigned courtyard so he easily dodged the clueless maids and secretly entered her bedroom.
"Hello!" Little Prince Andrew greeted her first thing in the morning when she opened her eyes.
Little Beatrix was startled and screamed, alerting her maids and guards so little Prince Andrew was caught inside her bedroom! Although they were still so young, it was still viewed as a serious offense to the face of Lamoreaux and Marvel families, the two powerful, influential, and wealthy families that little Beatrix is representing.
The Emperor and Empress were very shocked and disappointed with their usually intelligent and well-mannered imperial son, Prince Andrew. They were horrified by the gravity of what he did! They were anxious about the reaction of the Lamoreaux and Marvel families if they knew about it! The two powerful and influential families entrusted their little Beatrix to the imperial family! What will happen to the face of the imperial family if this is exposed?!!
The Emperor glared at his first son, who looks so proud and confident in front of them after the shameful thing that he just did!
"Imperial Son, did you know that it is improper and prohibited?" The Emperor asked little Prince Andrew with a face so dark and just preventing himself from personally choking his son to death.
"I am fully aware, Imperial Father." He honestly replied, making the Emperor angrier while the Empress was truly stunned.
"If you were fully aware then why did you do it?" The Empress immediately asked, more horrified by her son's response.

"I just want to properly welcome her. I want to make her happy and feel at home since she will stay here so far away from her parents. I bet she feels alone and lonely." He directly replied.
"Unacceptable! There are lots of ways to make Lady Beatrix feel welcome without besmirching her reputation and offending the two families! She is entrusted to us by her parents! What will they think of the imperial family if this is spread? I am very disappointed with you!" The Emperor angrily exploded.
The Empress worriedly held the Emperor's hand then said. "Andrew is only a child. He is not entirely aware of the situation and consequences."
The Emperor calmed down a bit and sighed as he declared the punishment.
"Kneel outside the Lady Beatrix's courtyard for seven days and nights! You are only allowed to eat once a day during that period! After that, you need to make twenty copies of the Imperial Family's set of rules and regulations! I hope that after this, you will follow what is right!"
Little Prince Andrew politely thank his Imperial Father and bowed to his parents before exiting to do the punishment. He did not say "Yes" to his Imperial Father because he could feel that he will break that rule again in the future. He also did not say "No" to avoid aggravating the situation and his punishment.
Little Beatrix worriedly stared at the kneeling little Prince Andrew outside her courtyard. He looked so pitiful as he sweats profusely under the heat of the scorching sun but his face is still neutral and his back is ramrod straight. It is like the intense heat and suffering mean nothing at all. She felt extreme pity and guilt as she could see that his exposed skin is beginning to become red. He will probably get a sunburn soon. If she has the power to stop it, she will ask him to stop what he is doing but it is the Emperor who decided to punish him severely.

"Lady Beatrix, do not worry about my Imperial Brother. I am sure he is perfectly fine. Look at his stubborn look and you will know that he is actually alright." Little Prince Anders told her when he saw her staring at his kneeling brother. Seeing her stare with so much worry and unmasked concern on her face is tugging negative emotions in his heart. "He is just serving his punishment. What he did is purely throwing the face of imperial family for granted and deliberately besmirching your ladyship's reputation."
When little Beatrix seems unconvinced and still stared worriedly...
"Lady Beatrix, let us go now or else, we will be late for our history class. You must know that there is a serious punishment for coming late as ordered by my Imperial Father, do you also want to be punished?" He told her gently while positioning himself at her back so she won't see his mocking smile to his brother.
Imperial Brother, you could fool everyone but I know this is still part of your plan. You shamelessly entered her room to get her attention first but since it miserably failed, now you are using pity to gain her interest! I will not let you succeed! Never!

Tower of Somnus
When humanity first encountered alien life, we were judged and found wanting. The Galactic Consensus interviewed our leaders and subjected us to a battery of psychological tests to determine our progress as a society. They found us to be selfish, wasteful, impulsive, and boorish neighbors. Earth was blockaded and our collective encounter with our extrasolar neighbors rapidly faded from memory. All they left behind was a hypercomm relay and a handful of subscriptions to a massively multiplayer game that participants played in their sleep. The Consensus said that it would let us interact with our neighbors in a controlled setting. That it would teach us to be better members of the galactic community. The megacorporations that controlled Earth ignored the game until they learned that the powers earned from clearing dungeons were just as real when day broke. Magic, supernatural abilities and rumors exploded from nothing and a subscription to The Tower of Somnus became a status symbol. Katherine ‘Kat’ Debs doesn’t have much, but it could be worse. Born in an arcology, she was assigned a job in the megacorporation that raised her almost as soon as she could work. Despite the stability of her corporate life, she wanted something more. A chance to claw her way up the rigid social and financial ladder to make something of herself. A chance that wouldn’t come naturally to someone as familiar with dark alleyways and the glint of steel as she was with office work and corporate niceties.Book One is up on Kindle Unlimited as of 7/6/22 - https://www.royalroad.com/amazon/B0B2X3L8H5

The blue Astrum of memories
Some of you believe in fate and some of you don't. That's ok in our world. In the world that I created Fate has been acting strange and selfish for a long time. She was always fascinated with humans and the fact that they had soulmates because a lot of other races didn't. Ever since humans started traveling through space, that opened millions of new opportunities for Fate to make the human soulmates meet. However, because of her strange behaviour Fate made too many mistakes. After that, Fate made what she thought, was a good move. What she didn't count on was that the good move she made knew that you can cheat fate. One and his crew don't know how ironic it is that she chose them to make her good move. ------------------------------- I didn't use any movies, books or series for inspiration the story is my original work. This is just the result of my weird imagination and brain telling me what to write. I hope you liked it :) It’s just a story, like all of my other stores. It doesn’t have a deeper spiritual, moral or ethical meaning.
