Prince Andrew felt so hurt and so down when Beatrix rejected him. He sulked and remained lonely in his bedroom for several days. He chose not to get out and send a note to his Imperial Father and Imperial Mother that he needs to rest in his room. He wants to be alone to recover and nurse his broken heart! Now that he is slightly okay and can go out without obviously showing his depressed and gloomy state, he chose to tour the garden... Fate is really cruel to him! He saw her! Of all people, place, and time... Why?!! When he saw her, he suddenly remember her response and his hurt feelings!

"Beatrix..." He could not help but call her name when he noticed that something is bothering her.

When she saw him, she paled, screamed in fright, and ran away from him as if he is some sort of monster trying to eat her raw and whole!!!

Is my face really ugly and horrible? I know that you do not like me... But do you really have to scream and run away like that?!!

He thought feeling very hurt and more miserable now! He wants to go back sulking in his room again...

It was Beatrix's seventeenth birthday, the two princes purchased flowers and prepared a gift for Beatrix. Prince Andrew purchased red tulips because he knew this was Beatrix's favorite flower. He also bought her favorite chocolate cake and prepared a customized bracelet for her. This last one cost him a fortune because the materials used are all imported and extremely rare and there is only one craftsman who could successfully make it and he charged so much for customized items! The customized bracelet did not only cost him a lot of money but also a lot of blood! Yes, real blood! He dropped a lot of his blood into the mixture to produce the unique blood-red color. The more blood, the livelier the color becomes! He is already so pale when he became satisfied with the color and stopped dropping blood on it! Prince Anders, on the other hand, purchased sunflower, peanuts, and a hairpin as a gift.

While waiting for Beatrix to come out, Prince Andrew noticed the sunflower, peanuts, and a very nice and elaborately wrapped gift.

"Imperial Brother, you know that she hates sunflower and peanuts, why give it to her?" Prince Andrew curiously asked.

"Imperial Brother, it is the thought that counts! Beatrix will like it as long as I give it to her!" Prince Anders proudly explained.

Prince Andrew became immediately depressed and gloomy after he heard it.

Yeah, right! Beatrix likes all the gifts my Imperial Brother gave her. I wonder if she will like what I prepared...

Prince Andrew chose to remain silent and indifferent outside to cover up his doubt and insecurity...

Finally, Beatrix came out so they greeted her with a happy birthday but to Prince Andrew's surprise, Prince Anders grabbed his flower and gifts then presented them to Beatrix.

"Beatrix, here is your favorite flower and cake!" Prince Anders immediately declared and gave the tulips and chocolate cake to Beatrix. "And here is my gift too! I hope you like it!" Prince Anders smiled happily as he also gave her a uniquely wrapped gift.

"Thank you, Anders! I love tulips and chocolate cake!" Beatrix happily received.

"Check my gift, Beatrix! I racked my brain in thinking about what should be my gift to you. I hope it suits to your taste!" Prince Anders encouraged Beatrix to open his proclaimed special gift.

Beatrix was very happy and amazed when she saw the blood-red exquisite bracelet. Prince Anders immediately retrieved the bracelet and placed it on Beatrix's wrist.

"Anders, thank you so much! I love it!" She exclaimed excitedly, feeling so amazed by its blood-like color and warmth to the touch.

"Imperial Brother, what are you waiting for?! Give your gifts to Beatrix!" Prince Anders suddenly nudged his brother.

Prince Andrew was so stunned by what happened and was speechless for a moment!

Damn! I never thought he would stoop this low! I am sabotaged by him! Should I tell her the truth? Will she believe me or will she think that I am talking nonsense or lying to her?

"Imperial Brother, do not be shy... It is the thought that counts!" Prince Anders nudged again.

Prince Andrew immediately noticed that Beatrix is looking at the sunflower and peanuts with extreme annoyance!

She is already annoyed by just looking... How much more if I give it to her just like what this sly brother of mine is telling me to do?

"Beatrix, check this out! The gift wrapping is extremely good. I am sure what is inside is pretty good!" Prince Anders retrieved the unopened gift and gave it to Beatrix.
